Monday morning. New month, October. warm today here 72 degrees. 10:30AM.
Did some paperwork already this morning, printing out stuff for the files, writting bills etc.
At this point only coffee in my stomach. Guess I have to make something for myself.
Seems things are drying out some in the garden, to cut more grass, or clean up whatever is there. Glad people are feeling better. Take care all.

don't you love it, when your cleaning out closet and find a good pair of pants and they still fit. Yeah.

Just as an fyi, I use one of these to pick up crabapples. Hundreds in minutes! It might save your back and your soles!

This is the link to a Canadian Lee Valley store but I believe you have them there too.

It is fast to unload too. I just pull the wires to open a gape, and then dump them out. It's incredibly fast.

                Good morning everyone.:)

Hope everyone is either recovering well or remaining well today.

I've decided to brave it ... we're taking the fast option over to the IoW today via the Red Jet High Speed Passenger Ferry. It takes half the time of the normal Ferry.
My old school friends and I will just enjoy a good catch up this time instead of dashing off here ,there and everywhere like we did last time.
We have booked a table at a very popular restaurant for lunch. Apart from that it will be a day of chatting and laughing non stop, having a general browse and numerous coffee and cake stop offs. Great fun will be had I'm really looking forward to it.
We probably won't go over again until next Spring, due mainly to the shorter daylight hours.
Our friend who lives over there comes back here fairly often to see her family so we will undoubtedly still find an opportunity to meet up.

Right I'm off to find my sea legs and pack my flask of Ginger Tea and Candied Ginger into my bag...just in case!!!

                Enjoy your day.

                    Morning Vicky.

I'm so happy to hear that things are on the up for you both..what a time you've had!!

Just take it easy and recuperate fully before taking on all you daily routines, there's no point in jeopardizing it by rushing to take on more than your body is ready to cope with.

Enjoy your garden in the sun.:SUNsmile:xx

                      Good day
It is 63f and clear. We are expecting it to go up to the 80's today. The guessers say that tomorrow will also be very warm and then we go into the refrigerator. @redstar apparently it is warmer up here than down by you :noidea:

@Upsydaisy you are such a social butterfly! I too am meeting a friend for a late breakfast. And I pass by a fabric shop on the way back home so I may pick up some fun prints for Em to play with. We need to start planning Christmas gifts and she is keen to sew them.

@Victoria I am delighted to hear that you've turned the corner and are starting to feel human again. :dbgrtmb:

When I get back later this morning, I shall be starting a potato salad and then barbecuing some hot dogs and hamburgers. Thank goodness for pressure cookers. That will make the salad job quick and all will be ready for the last couple of hot days.

                      Cheers

Morning all. Tuesday. 10:40 AM here.
Looks like a lovely day planned @Upsydaisy . Tell me the name of the restaurant so I can l look it up, just out of curiosity.
Husband has pick out a day trip for tomorrow to a town about an hour from here, some showing at a musuem. I kind of half listened to him discussing it, (horrid, LOL) but I am sure it will be fine. And then I am guessing we will find some restaurant up that way before getting home. Using my cell to locate something decent.
There is another musuem, south of me that is having a unique showing beginning Oct. 21, planning on that one.

Chess meeting again today at 12:30P.

@CanadianLori , it is so interesting how the earth is regarding tempertures, recall many years ago I found out that Washington State could grow zone 8 hydranges, where as in my area a Zone 8 hydranges would die--to cold for them, I can only plant things that are for zone 6.

Looks like the car show for us, for this weekend is a bust, too much rain coming in.

Well off to do something. Have a good day all.

Vicky are things still improving with you and J ? I really hope so:fingers crossed:

Lori I love BBQ's......I might just turn up as a sneaky gate-crasher!!:heehee:

Had a really fabulous day yesterday. Great weather and a smooth and enjoyable trip there and back across the water. Very slight turbulence on the return trip caused by a passing huge cruise liner.....I only had to chew on 2 candied ginger chunks!! :):blue thumb:

Gosh what we old girls talk about.....needs censoring at times!! After lunch we browsed and couldn't resist some of the fab independent boutiques !! Sat watching a beautiful boat with all it's sails fully rigged up. We also just had to visit a great Ice Cream Parlour . Sicilian Pistachio for me. Delicious!!

Surprisingly very tired yesterday evening and slept like a log last night.:snooze:

Hubs is off to get his Shingles jab soon. Not sure what we'll do today after he gets back.:noidea:

Hope you all have a super day.

Morning all. Late here today, overslept both of us. Unusual but obviously needed.

Think out temps start to drop today but doesn't go to normal till the 8th.

                            Catch up later.

                                Good day
It is 64f and going up to 78f and I just now remembered to come here

One load of laundry is on the line, and another will be ready shortly. It looks like tomorrow will be pretty much the last day for line drying as our temps are going to dump in the next 36 hours. I will probably need to turn on the central heating before the weekend.

I'm glad to hear you're clear @Victoria and sorry to hear you can't convince t'other half to do some preventive maintenance.

@Upsydaisy sounds like a hoot! I had a lovely time yesterday too.

I'm not going out until later as I have my Hilda get up going here and lots of little things to get finished today. And I need to move my Shineybrid hot peppers out of one greenhouse and pack them into the one that has a heater. It is supposed to start raining tomorrow night and I want to be long done that before the drops.

                                Cheers :coffee:
