Morning all! Sounds like you’ve all had a relaxing week!
Our manager has been off on holiday in Majorca, while we have had no heating all week, everyone including the customers are shivering and no hot water, I told the boss at the beginning of the week but no engineer turned up by Friday, so I spoke to the bosses wife who said the engineer is probably busy  , the boiler is leaking and flashing a red light saying flame failing, I’ve never in 7 years seen it be serviced, also had to put up with a very very smelly Locum (B O) it was making my stomach turn :cry3:.

Upsydaisy is your hubby a good cook ?, we take turns cooking in the evening as we both finish work at similar times. It’s 9c here and very grey, we’ve not had one dry day.

Victoria hope your Js mouth gets better soon, is he diabetic ?

Redstar have a safe journey and teach your hubby to make a brew it’s not that hard :pathd:

Good morning Lori & Michael and Wiseowl :imphrt:

Morning Michael, how are you today?

I know it's such a joke...seemingly they think they can, just like they kid themselves they can 'read' the weather and make accurate forecasts....bless them.:)

        Have a relaxing day.xx

Oh my, what a week you have endured! Is it an old building? Horrors, a smelly co-worker!!!

Yes, J is D2 and takes Metaformin.

Have a nice weekend ... away from the cold and smelly bods!. xx

Upsy, I won't tell him this. :yikes: Last month the Dentist took the rotating X-ray around his head after he complained bout the facial pain. Dr Pedro has looked at it and said there was an 'anomaly' and made an appointment for the Dentist on Monday afternoon. There is/was swelling between his eye and cheekbone and it was firm feeling. Wit the antibiotics this is diminishing and pain relieved. He is concerned because it is the side where he had the neck tumor and operation.

You have a good day too. xx I am now going out to play with my nursery plants as the sun is beaming down there and it is 17c.

Morning Flumpy , hope you're both well.

I wouldn't describe our week as being particularly relaxing ( apart from yesterday). Very painful flare up in my joints and still attempting to prepare the garden for Winter whilst battling with sudden torrential downpours and getting soaked to the skin ...nope , definitely not my idea of relaxation !! :heehee:

You amaze me at how you've stuck with your job as you don't really have a very good working experience there or seem to enjoy it. In my opinion life is too short to put up with such negatives . 7yrs is way too long.!!

We had a whiffy stylist way back in my Salon days. We just couldn't allow it so being the Manager it was my job to broach the delicate subject with them...not a nice experience but it had to be done. All went well and problem ceased to be an issue.:blue thumb:

Oh yes hubs is an absolutely brilliant cook and so are our 3 sons....all of them cook scrumptious meals from around the world, probably based on their extensive travels. I'm not bad either but cook more traditional meals....I just don't really enjoy it though , much prefer to be outside. I always did all the cooking even when I worked 45- 50 hours a week.
He use to cook at weekends but since he retired nearly 8 yrs ago .....and it's now only the 2 of us () he does the majority of the main meal cooking.

He was up at 6am this morning to slow cook some Lamb and other yummy ingredients for a traditional meal from his home country... the whole house smells utterly devine.

              Have a great weekend.:)

Morning all, Saturday. Up at 6AM doing stuff. now 8AM
Yes, we leave today, not a long drive 3 hours to get to our destination.
Got to pack and also pack any foods we want to take etc. so we don't have to eat out all the time. and we need to use up what's in the fridge.

Yep, cleared a bunch of leaves yesterday, took to the burn pile and lite it.

This is a picture of our front property taken as I drive down the drive. Have a good day. I will probably take this lap top with me. So you might see me again. LOL. Front yard Autum Trees..jpg

                          Good day,
It is 56f and that's what was predicted! :th scifD36: I too hope your drive is safe and scenic @redstar .

I dove into housework as soon as my feet hit the floor this morning. The entire house is vacuumed, floors are washed and only two more loads of laundry to go for today. I need to pivot as much of my electricity consumption to the weekends and evenings as possible due to the punishing time of use rates. And it looks like I'm going to be successful because he cental vacuum is powerful and therefore a heavy user. And so is the clothes dryer.

Emiky was at a sleepover last night and I shall be picking ber up at 2 and we'll visit a fabric shop on the way home..

@Flumpy, I encountered something along those lines back in my "office" days. The lady actually left a vapour trail of smell. Turned out she needed to clean her clothes more often. We also placed her next to a fellow who had no sense of smell. :)

                          Cheers all :coffee:

                            Good morning.

Nice to have it a bit lighter in the morning now the clocks have gone back...for a little while anyway.
Not looking forward to the long evenings at all though. I have downloaded 3 new library books , have a new jigsaw puzzle stashed away under the sofa and have already started on my first little knitting project with more waiting in the wings. I have started to buy new seeds and have a rough idea in my head for next years garden, just need to write it up in my planning journal before I forget.
Then I need to work out the seed sowing timetable.
So in theory I have plenty to do to pass the long evenings with. Putting in all into practice will be another story though I expect.

What am I saying!!:yikes: :nonofinger: Nope I will shake myself into action and do...everything:yes:.

Got a fair bit done out in the garden yesterday and hope to continue today. I have now resigned myself to working through the downpours as much as possible, depending of course as to the job I'm working on at the time.
As it stands at the moment we only have one day without any rain ( 9 th Nov) for the next fortnight. So working outside in the rain is the only option for getting everything ship shape for Winter.

                            What's today's film Vicky?

                            Have a restful Sunday .

Morning all. What a :steamy:night I had ... only three hours sleep, if that, then furries were up and running, and boy screaming being part Siamese at 7.01 because their clocks said it was 8.01. So I am very :snooze:.

It is 17c now, overcast going to 21c with downpours this afternoon. A definite lazy day for me doing some crochet (I will come back on this later when I wake up). J hasn't decided what movie. Yesterday was A Shotgun Wedding with JoLo. It was hilarious. I like her, especially the Cop series Shades of Blue.

You certainly have lots planned for the winter Upsy. A bit different here since we don't really have "Winter" as most know it.

That's all for now folks. xx

:phew: Just spent nearly an hour sorting tops/blouses on hangers ... six out, two in contemplation. Either not worn or once so to the charity shop not bin. By bin I mean Red Cross or Humanity clothes bins.
I used to make some of my clothes, a black pinstripe pants suit, a grey plaid jacket with grey slacks and grey skirt to match. I am fussy about the materials I wear and never like the store bought ones. I also made sleeveless Summer shift dresses. I still have my Home sewing machine I bought in c1975. I like most arts and crafts.

I plan on making afghans and shawls/scarfs. I give the majority if it to a cat rescue here for their shop and they give me a tax receipt. They feed/look after/neuter over 300 cats in colonies around Albufeira.

Currently I am working on an afghan which I may give or keep because I love pink and grey together. Here's a peek ...

I will put up full view when finished here ...
