    Good day
It is 45f and raining. And that seems to be the forecast going forward. Low to mid 40's and wet. We haven't changed our clocks yet so I am late, plus I have been busy for the last hour or so getting doughs going for fresh rolls and chelsea buns, and getting my Hilda on.

I'm sorry to hear you had a nasty night @Victoria. I find that when that happens, it seems to throw off my sleep cycle for at least a week. I want to go to bed too early and then get up too early and on and on.

I like the pink and grey. It is a gentle mix. :dbgrtmb: And your mention of sewing clothes has me feeling guilty about not getting back to those cargo slacks.

We haven't set the clocks back yet here. That happens next weekend.

I best get on with today's to do list.

    Cheers all :coffee:

        Hello @Flumpy .

Lovely puzzle. I have some of my Dad's puzzles and one had a couple of pieces missing too. Grrrr!

No worries I only start hurting when I don't do much. :) If I have too many tea breaks then I'd be for ever having to remove my wet jacket and muddy gardening shoes to nip indoors to spend a .....!! :heehee:

Hope you managed to finish your bird feeder makeover.

Oh Vicky my lovely....I missed your posts, so sorry . I was too focused on getting out into the garden early I think.

So saddened to hear of your bad night and lack of sleep , I hope you were able to rest up a bit today.

All our brood were very early risers right from birth and we always use dread the time changes. Obviously at first they were too young to have it explained to them. Two of them are still up early like their Dad the other is a night owl like me. Only difference is he now sleeps in... I don't.

I hope you get a better night tonight. :snooze::grphg:

Love the Afghan ,I recently bought some pink and grey wool to make myself a pair of fingerless gloves and a cowl. Love the colour combination too.:blue thumb:

Sleep well and I hope the Furballs behave themselves.:cat-kittyandsmiley::cat-kittyandsmiley: xx

A jolly good morning to everybody.

First things first...Vicky how was your night?
Were Van and Munchkin good little puss cats ?

The bird feeder is looking good Flumpy :blue thumb:

We are under yet another wet weather warning, it continued on from the previous 2 day one and should :fingers crossed: end at 6pm today. I personally still think our forecast isn't that bad and doesn't deserve a warning at all. So much so that I've done a load of laundry and I'm optimistically aiming to hang it all out to dry.
I apologise in advance to those who may live nearby as I've most likely jinxed today's weather now.

Still very much focusing on the garden this week, once all the plants that require protection are safely stored away I can relax a bit. I can then do things at a more leisurely pace. The Dahlias need a hit by the first frost to get blackened before needing my attention.

I think our weather is supposed to be pretty dire this week so apart from visiting my brother at some point and me having a bone density test on Thursday nothing else is planned.

              Have a good day.

                    Morning.

Thank you all .... I slept like a log last night after a very lethargic day! Thankfully the Babes stayed asleep too. :cat-kittyandsmiley::cat-kittyandsmiley: However I didn't have my Sunday soak as I thought I might slitter down and drown :rolleyespink: so I will do that this morning.

We were blessed with the forecast downpours last evening/night receiving 28mm/1.12 in of the precious wet stuff ... but unfortunately now our rain for the next three days has disappeared but will come on Saturday when Ben the Gardener is due!! Currently it is sunny and 14c going to 20c with a day full of sunshine.

J has Dentist today at 5pm to see what is going on. I have nothing planned barring my laze in the bath and some crochet. The afghan is getting big now so I only get a row around done in an hour depending what stitch I am doing so I will do another row or two.

I found the missing piece Karen. If you want to put it in a glass frame, I can tell you how to 'hide' it. The bird house is very grand and looking good. :dbgrtmb: Hope the heat gets fixed at work.
Hope you get more done in the Greenhouse today Upsy. Yesterday's movie's were Up in the Air with George Clooney and Eurovision Song Contest - the story of Fire Saga ... fantastic!

                      Good day
It is 36f and not expected to get much warmer. And the guessers are saying that at night we'll be going below freezing after today.

Like @Upsydaisy I'd better get out there, in between the rain, and do any last minute winter tidying and harvest the remaining Shineybrid hot peppers. I've already got a soil mixed and ready to refill those pots so emptying them and preparing them for next year will be a quick job. :)

I'm glad you've had a good night @Victoria . @Flumpy I too hope you have a decent day. I sure hope they step up and get the maintenance done there. I'm surprised there aren't laws about working conditions. No one deserves to be maltreated or work in adverse conditions!

Well, I'm just waiting for daylight to go out and get things done. Oh, yes, and I need to go to the library to renew my card. It won't let me do it online.

                      Cheers :coffee:

I hope they fix the boiler soon Flumpy, why don't you all complain and refuse to work. Say you'll report them , dont get walked over.

Lori, freezing temps on the way for you, yikes I hope we have a few more weeks before we get any.:fingers crossed:

Finally potted up the remaining Geraniums yesterday. I gave up trying to dodge the rain and in the end decided to just go for it. Hopefully I will make a start on the Fuchsias today
I also finished knitting hubs other glove finally too.

I hope those who want rain will get some and those who don't...don't

                          Have a good day .

                            Cat Hedge7.jpeg Morning all.

An overcast start here but 14c with perhaps showers on and off through the morning.

Yes, thank you Upsy, I slept well again last night. Woke up for a chichi* (she she) / pee at 6.30 rather than 7.30 as it will take me a week to acclimatise. Furries were up at 7am again.

J got home from the Dentist at 6.30pm ... having had an offending tooth removed!!! He promptly took 2 co-Codomols and put an ice pack on his face. He said he slept relatively well but has cancelled his Physio and meeting following for an instrument sale.

Yesterday following soak in the tub I only got around three sides of the afghan. However I cleaned the three remote controls for the lounge TV (one TV, one Sky, one MEO ... plus there is a mouse and J's mobile to control it!!! ). It took a long time as J never cleans such. I also wiped down my mobile phone and my laptop screen and did the keyboard too.

Having a think on what I may get up to today but will probably be Doing Nothing.jpeg ...

                              Good day
It is 30f and lots of heavy frost is coating the roofs of the houses and vehicles. The guessers say it will rain/snow during trick or treating tonight.

@Victoria it is amazing how grubby remotes and phones and mice and keyboards, well all electronics, can get. I just noticed the globes over the breakfast table needed a good dusting so did that this morning before getting Em's breakfast. It must be this business of operating in the dark morning and evening that has me in the mood to brighten things as much as possible!

@Upsydaisy I am glad to hear that you have laws about employee protections and I sure hope someone else or you @Flumpy make them do the right thing.

I've got a sorta puttering day. I've been putting off fixing my web site as it is defaulting to a weird page and that is unacceptable. I really don't relish going through all of programming stuff as I'm just not as thirsty to learn new technologies as I used to be!

                              Cheers all :coffee:

Morning all. Still up in the Poconos . Touring about.
Place we are staying is lovely, quiet, cabin type, with a screened in porch, has a full kitchen, so I can make coffee etc, and breakfast stuff. Chilly some.
Have a tour place planned today. That's it. Later.
