    Morning Sweet Thing. xx

Sun is trying to break through but slow this morning.

Do you have an ankle counter or how does your app work? I had an ankle thingy but don't think it was correct, counted strangely ... or I did as I mentally counted with it. I must try harder. I know my legs are strong from cycling but I seriously have to concentrate to take a step unaided, or with the walker at steps.

I am not going yet either so have decided I will go have a soak in the bath ... which J is running now for me. :wub2:

You take it easy and relax in the greenhouse. :imphrt:

      Hello Vicky

I have got an ankle pedometer and a hip one but as you say they're not really very good.
I like using this app ...you can zoom right in and it shows all the roads and off road pathways ( which we use a lot) ,you can then draw out the route you walk ,making sure to map your return walk too of course!:blue thumb:

      Screenshot_2023-12-12-09-23-36.png

For safety reasons this is not my area...think it might be somewhere in Somerset!!

      Screenshot_2023-12-12-09-36-09.png

You can see my route in red and top left corner shows how far and the calories used.

Here's one for your area !!

What is good is it's accuracy and ability to enable you to walk pathways and side roads that are not open to traffic.

It's just gone incredibly dark here and now we have torrential rain..our postie has just come and despite coming to us via a van the poor chap is soaking wet.

        Tuesday Morning.
Awww Biking and Walking. Used to do a lot of it/both. Early 30's lived in a place that I could just take my bike out the back door and looped up to a lake, a round trip of 14 miles, did it every other day, had a 2nd shift job then, so I could go in the mornings. Then got a "real" career job, and so the sitting at an office desk. Where I live now, its too hilly and curvy and not safe. But when we had our GSD's I 'd walk a mile every day with them, and 5 miles on weekends. Today arthritis does not help matters, so try to walk 1/2 a mile daily. Never had one of those ankle things.
Anyway, just continue whatever I can about the house, and packing for trip on Friday.
Chess Meeting later. Take care all.

Hello everyone I hope that you've all woke up feeling well this morning.

Vicky did you watch APITS yesterday, it was in the Eastern Algarve area. I'm not too sure they really knew what they wanted but I can't say that I was to keen on the properties they were shown

We had a real mixed bag of weather yesterday and for some reason I felt as unsettled as it did.

In the end the skies brighten a bit around 3:30 so as we had run out of eggs I said to hubs that I was going off into our small local town to buy some...well it gave me a purpose!! :heehee: He ended up going with me too......a trip out to buy...eggs!!:roflol:

It was pitch black by the time we got back home at around 5, can't wait for the days to begin lengthening after the Winter Solstice on the 21st...and that is next week!!:hapydancsmil:

Please to report that the walking is having a positive effect on my back as it feels a bit better and that my Leaning Tower Of Pisa impression has gone !!

No plans made yet for today as we have decided not to plan in advance at the moment due to our ever changing weather ......or should that be our incorrect forecasts!

Have to start planning on what to pack for our Christmas away......oh how I fret over this and end up taking far to much....just in case!! In case of what!!:noidea: It's so hard planning what to wear in advance.
Hubs always moans that I take too much too....little does he know I always travel up wearing two jumpers....sneaky me. ;)

Have a fabulous day everyone and don't forget to leave some mince pies for Christmas!!

          :spinning:

            Morning Upsy and all.

Yes, watched APITS. That area is as far away from us as you can get, not far from the Spanish border. We did visit Tavira once, the castle ruin and its beautiful gardens. Not been to the other places, but the famous wetlands are there where they breed seahorses. No, don't think they had a clue about anything. An interesting No 5 ... but no flow, too busy and too many steps. I love criticising. :heehee::whistle: A 2/3 bed apartment in our area would be at least 100,000 more. Eastern Algarve is the cheapest here.

Pleased you got out for a walk yesterday, even if it was just for eggs. ;)

J has Dentist late this morning, just check and clean but he is going to ask her about his bridge which is giving him grief. It was from his last Dentist before he changed to the Clinic ... the one I think caused a lot of his problems. It went back several times. He will ask about a new one.

Then he will stop at the tobacconist next to the Post Office as I got notification my parcel arrived. Also a parcel from Spain came yesterday with 1 kilo of Halls Respiral Licorice and Mint drops ... cheaper than buying tubes.

That's it for now folks. Another warm day ahead.

              Morning Vicky :)

Yes they did flash up a pic of a garden and it did look stunning, full to the brim with blooms but not sure if it was the one that belonged to the castle.

I think her son was just keen to have somewhere to come with all his friends.;)

Hope J gets the advice he needs on his bridge, most unpleasant having something in your mouth all the time that causes discomfort I should imagine.

Will that be your plants or the blouse?

Mmm love Liquorice ,especially Pontefract Cakes.

We have a grey and dingy day here but at least it's dry and mild at the moment .

Enjoy your day in the warmth of your sunshine :cat-kittyandsmiley::cat-kittyandsmiley:x

                Hi Upsy

Probably was the castle gardens as those properties were gardenless! We liked the first apartment with arched glass doors and windows ... but the road was too noisy for them!

Should be one plant ... could be the blouse also. Will report back this afternoon.

Wednesday. Chilly, water on the deck frozen solid.
Was able yesterday afternoon to heap a huge hill of leaves from back corner area by the door and sidewalk and drag to the burn pile. So big to just push them to the tarp I used my legs to push them forward. Most were from the blown off the roof by the guys. Anyway that is done.

We are to go to a museum today to view a Christmas display that has part of our train donation and catch lunch somewhere. Its about a hour drive. All that will take up much of the day.

Started packing for the trip this weekend. Organized a massage and facial at the spa at the resort. Have not locked down other things yet, have a pile of books to take with.

                  Have a good day all.

                      Good morning everybody.

What adverts flumpy, occasionally I have a tiny one pop up but it's so small it's hardly noticeable ,click on the tiny cross next to it and it will go..but you may get a different one come up.....they are shown by Google. I haven't got any showing at the moment. I doubt if you can stop them permanently.:noidea:

Been a bit hectic trying to catch up on things that were put on hold last week due to my back issues.
Made good headway on everything yesterday with just a few more things to do today, hopefully.

Hubs fixed the ripped cover on our lean-to cold frame yesterday so the plants are once again snuggly enclosed for the Winter.

Yet another grey ,damp day for us here today. I really need to sweep the patios and I prefer to gather up slightly damp leaves but at the moment they are so wet that they are actually sticking to the paving slabs!!

We hope to have a final festive wander around Southampton tomorrow and also grab a meal. We had hoped to visit Lymington again before Christmas but unfortunately we just don't have the time.

Whatever you're up to have a great day.

                        Morning all.

Karen I don't have ads. Maybe you should ask in the Computer thread.

A lovely start to the day but a cool 8c going to about 16c.

Pleased your back is allowing you to catch up on things Upsy.

Only got the one plant yesterday (picture up in Purchases) but should have a couple of things today ... maybe.

J off to see Physio Doctor this morning in Alvor. This is the Head Honcho you see who sets your programme then you see at end to see how things went.

                        Have a good day.
