@Flumpy Your Mum was under a lot of stress last year with the wedding and then her fall. I lost my appetite and lost 60lbs due to stress because of my various medical incidents. Everything crossed for her tomorrow.

 

Sorry to hear that Victoria, she’s dropped a full dress size since November, did you have all them symptoms too ?

 

I was taking a medication called Anastrozole at the time and felt/was sick a lot.

Hello, came to this thread as I was thinking that I had not seen Zig around much. Is he still with us. Don't recall him on the other garden forum I visit either for a while. Thanks.

@redstar ,no Zigs left here as few years ago and the other forum you mentioned he left about a year ago. He is active on another one but obviously I can't name it on here.

I have a friend visiting this morning which will be lovely start to a week that will end on a very sad note for all our family.

On a gardening topic I must pot up my new Dahlia tubers to kick start them into growth before planting them out into the borders. I also have the other new bulbs to plant out too.

 

Morning all. A sunny start here with a light breeze heading for 17c so a fine day. Had an on/off night so was rearranging pots in my awake hours. Probably got 5 hours sleep unlike my two eight-hour sessions on the weekend.

A quiet week in general here. Enjoy your visit Upsy.

It is 28f -2c and clouds are moving in. All of the houses are sporting white roofs as the frost is very thick.

@Upsydaisy thank you for the reminder that is it time to start the dahlias. This is my first year with tubers as last year I started with plants I grew from seed. I also need to sort through the canna rhyzomes as I have promised to share some with a friend.

I haven't got much on my to do list for today so it will be a day of puttering.

thanks, I know the other forum he is on, of which I am on also, and that is the one I noted him missing on as I don't come to this one too often. I have his facebook, but he's not very active on it. Just curious. Or shall I say---maybe it will be nice for him to know someone saw him missing.

@redstar re Zigs I had noticed he'd stopped posting a while ago on a different forum (don't know if it was the same different forum as others have mentioned)
However a few weeks ago there was a post (can't remember what about) but in the replies was a link to a youtube video; looked at video, (terrible background music), but here is the link to the channel https://www.youtube.com/@ZiggySearchfieldCactus seems to have gone into cacti pretty seriously.

 

Yes he is really seriously into Cacti, he's even built a Cactus House !!
