        Morning everyone. Happy Valentine's day!!!:imphrt:

How did your night go Vicky? I hope you slept better.

Yes Lori it's time to nudge the Dahlias, I have about 8 to wake up this year but I'm hoping to get them in the ground this year instead of in pots...then they can wake themselves up!!

@Flumpy how did your Mum get on at the Drs yesterday?:fingers crossed::fingers crossed:

I had a lovely day yesterday my friend stayed all morning so as you can imagine..we had a good natter!! Hubs kept us supplied with coffee and biscuits.:imphrt:

Laundry dried beautifully yesterday as it was very mild and the sun eventually put in an appearance in the afternoon.

Going to pop into town this morning ( our little local one this time) then after our midday meal hopefully I'll get a couple of hours out in the garden. It's great that the days are really lengthening now , it's still light enough to be able to work outside at 5pm now:yahoo::dbgrtmb:

        Enjoy your day.
        :spinning:

It is slightly overcast still waiting for showers but 12c going to 17c,

Hit and miss Upsy, up at 1,15, 3,45 and 5.30!! Don't know why I had to chichi so much as I don't drink anything after 9pm, but slept in between.

Sounds like a nice relaxing visit with your friend.

Now landline/Internet back by 8pm Wednesday. Still not seen them on our lane/in the orchards but J saw them up poles in Algoz 6kms (3,7 miles) away.

          Have a good day all.

            Good day
It is 26f -3c and the sunrise is just getting it's game on. The skies look to be cloudy but the guessers say we will have sunshine for most of the day.

@Upsydaisy I must have over 30 dahlia tubers, sorted by flower colour, down in the fruit cellar. Our ground is thoroughly frozen down about 10 inches so if I start them early, it will have to be inside in pots.

I won't have time to look at them today anyway as I will be spending a good part of the day at the hospital with my oldest son. His other half does not drive so I will be driving him for a biopsy on his vocal chords. This is scaring me because they think it could be cancer. :fingers crossed::fingers crossed::fingers crossed::fingers crossed: it isn't.

@Victoria I hope your sleep pattern gets sorted soon. And I sure hope those internet guys get your lines sorted and well secured so it doesn't get knocked out again for a long time!

            Cheers :coffee:

Hi all, update on my mum, she’s got to have bloods done, scan and stool test tomorrow am, so it’s a waiting game, she seems to be eating a little more today so keeping our fingers crossed it’s nothing serious. Lori keeping my fingers and toes crossed for your son big hugs :grphg:

on the plus side, I’ve won £20 on the lottery yesterday.

                Happy Valentines everyone :imphrt:xx

Having tests done and then waiting on the results is a very stressful time.

All of your kind wishes worked !!! Jim's vocal chords are improving and the specialist says he now believes it is not cancerous. Jim goes back in 6 months to confrim this.

And I got a message from a friend when I got home telling me her oncologist told her that her tests came back with the good news that she is clear too!

Thank you for all of the support.

Cheers and tnis time it's a spritzer not tea

Good morning ...gosh mid week already, where does the time go???

Oh that is the best news ever Lori, :hapydancsmil: I'm so happy that all is looking good for both Jim and your friend. Enjoy that spritzer...or two. :)

As per usual my plans didn't go as........ well... planned!. I don't know why as I always start the day thinking that I know what's in store but seemingly I never really do.:noidea:

All I can say is that I will TRY and have some garden time today as I have some bulbs that I recently bought that need planting out.

I might pop over to have a coffee with my sister as we need to confirm times for Friday. We will go with her and my brother in-law who kindly offered us a lift as it seemed pointless taking 2 half occupied cars.

Apart from this...who knows what else might happen, its a guarantee I certainly don't!!!:heehee:

                      Have a great day everyone.

Dropping by.jpeg Morning, Wonderful news to wake up to Lori, regarding both Jim and your friend. xx

Slept well last night, about eight hours with one pee break ... and I didn't even hear the 15mm of rain we had!!! It is overcast and drizzly at the mo and 12c going to 17c.

J taking my car to have the driver's seat belt replaced at our mechanic just up the road 5kms. John will meet him there and bring him home then visit.

                        Have a good day all.

                              Good day
It is 42f 10c! It is cloudy and the guessers say we are going to be peed on most of the day but it is wonderful that there will be no shoveling involved!

I am glad to hear that you slept well @Victoria and @Upsydaisy it sounds like your unplanned day will be a fun one. Enjoy!

The drive into and out of Toronto to the hospital yesterday was horrendous. The traffic lights seem to have been set by someone without a shred of common sense and the sheer volume was overwhelming. If you ever decide to come to Toronto, don't! You'll spend most of your time just trying to get around  In the end, the results were more than well worth the aggro of the drive and I would do it again a 1000x if that was what was needed to get such good fortune.

I will pretty much just be puttering today. I have some mending to do, I have some seed sowing to do and a few other light tasks on my to do list to complete. All in all a relaxing day :)

                              Cheers :coffee:

                                Good morning everyone.

I think we're in for a bit of rain so we definitely won't be venturing far today.

On that promise hopefully I'll get those bulbs planted out.:dbgrtmb:

I'm looking forward to a day at home as I'm feeling a bit tired and in need of a slower paced day.

Have a lovely day doing things that make you happy.:)
