      Good morning everyone.

Fingers crossed our water supply should be back up and running some time today , quite a large area has been affected with the actual problem being at the Waterworks that is literally just around the corner at the end of our lane. The issues stretch between Southampton and Winchester and there are several bottled water pick up points set up over the area. I was surprised just how far and wide the affected area was !! A few areas have had no running water at all, we are very fortunate to have at least a tiny trickle for most part of the day and only occasionally experiencing times of no water at all.

So long as we have water in our butts that enable toilet flushing I'm happy  :dbgrtmb: . 10 mins to fill the kettle for a cuppa is just a minor inconvenience and likewise the time it takes to wash the dishes too.
Worse things are happening in our world at the moment, we just count ourselves lucky.

Spent the whole day outside yesterday and managed to get a fair few jobs done that were niggling me. Hubs took himself off to our local town to pick up a few bits in the morning.

It was a very grey day and quite windy with drizzle at times but I was determined to stay out , one of the panes of glass blew out from the greenhouse and smashed, hubs replaced it when he came home.

Quite a day all in all !!!

It should be a much more pleasant outside today with the promise of a glimpse of sunshine....at least it remains mild:blue thumb:

      Have a lovely Sunday.

      :spinning:

It is lightly overcast this morning but 12c going to 20c.

Upsy, hopefully water will return to normal today. :fingers crossed:

Karen, they have to remove the old rotten ones in order to install the new ones. However, it will take forever if it is only two men with shovels. :hate-shocked: Don't know if they work on Sundays being a good Catholic country. :dunno:

Good morning all, Upsydaisy so glad to hear your water will be up and running soon, how strange it’s happened in a wide area here to, two towns and at the same time .

Victoria, I knew they where changing the poles to new ones, just thought they where changing the position they had put it in, do they not have diggers (machinery over there)?.

Woke to blue sky here but cold, we maybe going for a walk today to blow them cobwebs away :spinning:

Morning to you too @Flumpy .

Strange?...not really. The river we get our water form runs here, so the Waterworks that process the water for our part of the county is here too. We are situated halfway between the two cities so it makes sense really.:blue thumb:

I don't think you'll find that there are Waterwork Processing Plants in every individual city.:blue thumb:

              Enjoy your walk.:)

I meant strange that we both have water problems at the same time living in different areas of England, turns out, they are building a big Estate between Middleton & Heywood on green belt land, and the work men caught one of the main pipes, all fixed now thank goodness :dbgrtmb:

                    Good day
It is 33f 1c and cloudy. I've got lots of inside work to keep me busy and if it does warm up, I will be working on switching some shelving around in the little greenhouses. I had gotten only a bit of that done yesterday when it turned bitter cold.

@Victoria I hope your pole men get on with things and @Upsydaisy I'm happy to see your water issues will be over momentarily!

@Flumpy and @Victoria I'll wait to take a pic of the stools when they've got plants on them. Otherwise, they're just boring. Yes, they are bright red, but just solid coloured. There are so many people over here who go with staid beige or grey or black garden furniture and pots and I think they're silly. We need to add colour as fast as we Canucks can in the spring to "lengthen" our season.

It's a Corrie morning so I'd best get going here.

                    Cheers :coffee:

Out of interest how do you have to verify your number of skips? Does someone have to witness it or is it an electronic skipping rope that records the amount.

Keep up the good work !!
