Good morning , how are you all today?

No real plans for today except for the fact I've run out of Apple's....and I have to have my daily one!! So to the Apple shop I must go.

Might call in to my sister's for a coffee on the way back if time allows.

Then a bit of seed sowing is on the agenda for this afternoon.

      Have a great day everyone.

Morning all. It is overcast but 12c going to 18c with perhaps a 'stray' shower.

Nothing going on here today ... but hopefully there will be in the orchards. :fingers crossed: It doesn't just affect the computers but everything computer operated ... TV (it buffers a lot in the middle of programmes,, automatic switches, etc,

We have just been notified our friends coming to visit us on Wednesday will now not be coming. One of their Granddaughters who arrived here has Covid so is confined to the bedroom of their apartment and they have moved to the sofabed in the lounge (not good for him mid 80s and her 80 this year). Both the lounge and bedroom have sliding doors that go onto a large balcony so they are putting the girls' food outside for her. Two Grandaughters came out and the other one's father has had to fly out to get her as she is too young to travel alone.

Not ideal for a holiday!!! It is sad we will not see them as they didn't come in October as they normally do so now it will be this October. I do hope Anthia and Ray don't catch it. :fingers crossed::fingers crossed::fingers crossed:

I still think the UK is too lax in protection.

Sorry to hear about your friends Vicky.

To be fair I don't think we are the only lax ones, travel requirements and made and agreed upon by the countries, so Portugal must have agreed the terms.
It must also be remembered that you can test negative one day and then positive the next, so even if testing had been a requirement for entry to Portugal, it might not have picked it up before arrival .

This is the current travel status requirement for entering Portugal unfortunately. Maybe Portugal could make them stricter.:dunno:

Thanks Upsy. I guess what I am saying is that everyone we know here who has caught it, had been in contact with those recently arriving from the UK. :dunno:

                Good day
It is mild mild mild 37f 2c ! The guessers were wrong again. They had said it would be bitterly cold and snowing..

It is Family Day in my province. So once again the public service and teachers and posties are guaranteed another holiday. It is not a statutory holiday so the rest of the people working in the private sector are hit and miss whether their company gives them this day off. Luckily the big stores have stayed shut so their employees get a break.

I've got a hilda day and will be doing the char woman role. Because of the holiday, it is a low rate for electricity and using the central vacuum system draws a lot of power. Best to get it finished with today. It is nice though to spread all of the washing and power use over three days instead of the usual 2 day weekend.

I hope you all have a super day.

                Cheers :coffee:

oh, and Covid?? I haven't talked to anybody or heard of anybody with it in my area for ages:fingers crossed:

                  Good morning everyone.:)

Another grey looking day here by the looks of it.

I hope to get around to ( once again!!) tidying up the greenhouse today as I'm beginning to move seedlings into it during the daylight hours.
We have to go out this morning for a couple of hours so the greenhouse will be the afternoon's top job!:dbgrtmb:

Like you Lori I haven't heard of anyone with Covid around here for quite a while now either. With most people being fully vaccinated it seems to have either slowed the spread of it right down or/and minimized the symptoms so that it's much less of a threat.

Family day sounds lovely, are there lots of outings and events organised for families to enjoy together??.

Hope you all have a great day.

Morning all. Today i starting off brighter and a fine day forecast.

A quiet day here. J did the big heavy shop yesterday. He espied a couple more new phone poles erected and we have notification we should be back in business Friday evening.

                    Enjoy your day.

                        Morning Upsy.

Notice the highlight. This is the 3rd/4th notification ... but the new poles are positive.

Glad all is "running smoothly" there now!

Enjoy the garden this afternoon. xx

                          Good day
It is 33f 1c . It must have gotten a lot colder in the night as the frost is as thick as ice. Or is it the same thing pretty much

@Upsydaisy most communities have lots of activities for families on that holiday and it is a really good time for folk like me to stay home!

I'm hoping to get my mustang in for a new muffler today. And have lots of little things to mend or tidy up. I need to do repair some wiring in the greenhouses as I ripped lots apart when I played checkers with the shelving in them.

@Victoria I am glad to hear they're getting those poles in as stringing cable should take little time compared to that. Friday - that's a long way away. I hope they decided to overestimate in order to not have to update their finish date again!

                          Cheers :coffee:

                            Good afternoon....,good morning Lori.

Surprise, surprise a change of plan is afoot.

Just got home from dropping off some meds to my sister and then together we have been trying to sort out issues over at our brother's place.

But...:cry3::cry3: :wallbanging: ..prior to going out this morning my beloved broke my terrarium!!!

I had to leave it be until we got back home and now I must attempt to rebuild and hopefully successfully rescue the plants.

The kit was purchased in London over a year ago and I can't risk the plants drying out while waiting for a replacement to arrive. Hubs spotted a storage type jar while out this morning ...a bit smaller and not ideal but definitely better than losing the plants.

I am about to nervously attempt to reassemble it layer by layer trying hard not to cut my hands on the numerous tiny shards of glass.....I have butterflies in my stomach as layering it all will be difficult as it's a bit mixed up now and to make matters worse it was a gift from eldest and girlfriend....and he is coming down for the weekend on Friday!!!! upload_2023-2-21_14-44-19.png

                            Wish me luck......please.
