      Good morning. :)

Well our snow didn't stick around for long but at least we have had some this Winter.

I didn't get to do anything out in the greenhouse as it just felt too nippy, you don't move around much and warm up when potting on seedlings.

It's a milder day today so hopefully I'll get to make a start on them later.

      Have a nice day everyone.

Oh wow sounds like quite an event then @redstar!!

It's surprising what we accumulate over the years.
We keep meaning to make a start sorting out here but...well ...day to day life gets in the way!!

With my parents house we just got house clearance in and left them to it. I find the whole procedure of letting go of memory evoking items too hard. Hopefully our sons will do the same when our time has come. Keep whatever they want and clear the rest.

          Darling fluffy baby donkey.

Morning. Had some a little rain in the night and more expected this morning. We need a bit more than showers but anything is appreciated. It is grey and damp, 14c heading for 20c.

Nothing but a damp day here.

            Hi there Vicky.

You certainly pick some heartmelting pics.... so huggable!!!

Glad to hear that you've had a bit of rain, I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get some more...just a tad wary about ' being careful of what you wish for' . :heehee:

            Have an enjoyable day.xx

Morning Upsy. We can take torrential rains, in moderation, and I would be indoors looking out. ;) Nothing in the garden it could destroy ... and The Baffa roof is now safe.

            Enjoy your day too. xx

Good day and good morning @wiseowl
It is 26f -5c and sunny again :)

@Upsydaisy the snow on the ground here has gone through a partial melt/freeze cycle and is as hard as a rock. I could probably carve it and build you an igloo! I wish ours was short lived like yours but oh well, it's Canada.

I'm glad to hear you had some rain @Victoria. :blue thumb:

@redstar takes me back to when I had to clean out a condo for a friend who had passed and he was a hoarder too. 7 garbage bins and two cube trucks later I had whittled the contents down to family heirlooms to pack in his Cadillac and ship out west to his family. A horrible job and it was on the 8th floor so everything had to go down one hand cart at a time in the elevator. Nasty work.

Today is discount day for seniors at a lot of the shops around here so I shall get those errands done this morning. Plus next week is March break for the schools and that would not be a pleasant time to to try to shop, at least not quietly.

              Cheers :coffee:

Morning all. Milling over my memory views of the "better stuff at the house auction" I now debating if its worth my time to go back, considering the weather today is outstanding for some outside work, and tomorrow I am going to spend some time with a friend for lunch that will be an hour drive to meet up, and some shopping planned. None of the "better stuff" was jumping out for me, to have to have. Usually now I am looking for things for the airbnb, but there is enough over there. @Upsydaisy ---good friend of mine Marcia Black --she lived 2 doors down, she passed on 2 years now, would talk about getting rid of stuff "now" so her children would not have to do the work. I know she'd "gift" out things she did not need anymore. I see her point, and I also try to "get rid of stuff" . The first year retired I took 9 bags of clothes to the thrift store, more to go. Should try also to ebay some things. Anyway---right now ---leaning toward not going.
@CanadianLori , yep, cleaning out is a job carved out over here for companies at different levels. There is one that is called Junk Dog they seem to take anything. Auctioneers pick through stuff. When I worked in the nursing home field I 'd get come children that said they put their parents Victorian furniture out to the curb. My husband went through the cleaning out twice, first his grandmother then his parents. On both counts then we took the stuff to a few auction houses, got a check for the lot. Then split the money up with the siblings. Not sure they appreciated his work with all of it. Oh, well.
In a couple weeks I'll try to remember to look up the address and find out how much the house went for, ---really big house, nice country setting, other very nice houses on the street. But the chimney area had a big crack in it the plaster going outward, made one think there could have be a chimney fire . Well that's for the bidders to notice. Husband made oatmeal, going to go have breakfast. Have a good day all.

@CanadianLori I also take advantage of senior discount day, for me here its usually Tuesdays here.

Forgot to add in above with the auction house, was told they had 26, 000 books, most tossed . but about 20 boxes of "collector" books kept back for auctioning off. SMH.

I have to admit to regularly sorting through my clothes and then donating the ones that I don't wear anymore to one of our local charity stores. :blue thumb: I alternate between Cancer Research and the Heart Foundation.

                      Morning everyone.

                      How's are you all today?

Well another day of my plans going adrift.

Went into our local town in the morning and didn't get back until after midday.

My right foot has been playing up lately and I ended up having great difficulty walking in town. I got home and found my foot was very swollen as well as being extremely painful.
Both my feet are fused in certain parts due to arthritis. The pain and swelling seem to be in the area where the screws are . This foot was the first to be done 12 years so don't really know whats going on.:noidea:
Hubs wanted me to go the Outpatients at our hospital because getting a Drs appointment here is still difficult unless you're really ill. I felt that my foot issues didn't warrant a hospital consultation as they too are run off their feet at the moment, and all their current strike actions aren't helping the situation either.

So I guess it will be just a case of wait and see for a week or two.:fingers crossed:

I must really try and make a start on potting up some of our seedlings though but maybe a few more days won't hurt. :fingers crossed:

I think it's another day of rain here for us, in fact I think we only have ( at the moment) one dry day forecast for the next fortnight!!

                      Very soggy times ahead.

On that cheery note....have a great day!! :heehee:

It is sunny/cloudy, 13c going to 20c and no rain in sight ... please send me yours Upsy.

Neither of us had a good sleep last night ... don't know why! :dunno: We both heard the farmer go out at 4am so fell asleep thereafter.

So sorry to learn about your foot issues now Upsy. You take things easy as the next London trip is looming!

Just J meeting John today for Friday catchup.

                          Good day
I'm a bit late as I simply forgot to come here! It is 34f 1c and starting to snow. The weather guessers say we're going to get walloped again.

I do have errands to do but they will have to wait until after lunchtime as one of the stops is a set appointment to work around.

@Upsydaisy I hope your foot calms down.

                          Cheers :coffee:

Good morning all. 8:40 AM here.
@Upsydaisy , shame about your foot. Arthritis is my issue also. Somedays good somedays bad, my fingers bending, left ankle where I broke it years ago issues. I just try to keep moving. Knees after a long drive stuck when I get out of the car. Saying I heard---Motion is Lotion. I take lots of herbs, want to stay off any doctor / man made pills. There is also a lotion I found at a animal feed stores its for horses, really works to put on the pain area. Was recommended to me, and it does help for a few days.
Taking a drive, about an hour to visit an old friend, we usually meet up for lunch once a month. Worked with her years ago. she had a stroke so can't drive anymore. Kept thinking what to bring her, so decided on a dozen of Amish eggs. She lives in the city, so not anywhere near farms, or Amish area to get something like that. And lets face it, the cost of them at stores are nuts. Thank goodness Amish eggs cheaper than stores.
No snow here, 33 degrees. I think its suppose to snow Saturday, but then get warm again. Have a good day all.

Thanks @redstar, yes like you I try to keep on the move too, but some days prove easier than others. I'm not on any medication either.
Enjoy your catch up with your friend.
