Morning all, a lovely Saturday morning, 9:50 AM here. 38degrees F. Went to a pub yesterday for St. Patricks day, meet some nice folks to chat about with. The restaurant pub I went to is 5 mins from me, not my first selection, the other one was so crowded, no parking. But was surprised by the food I ordered, prior 2X been there very displeased, think there is a chef.

@Upsydaisy --got back to again doing the search for D2 and D3, and I know years ago when I did it I found that D2 was not natural------https://www.approachwellness.com/natural-vitamin-d.html
That pain it caused me that weekend was like 5 monthly pains all at once, and just one pill.

Love hearing about your seed planting in your green houses , don't have one here. I just order seeds that can germinate after frost, and go up to an Amish nursery and get a few plants for my planters.

We have organized our guest at the airbnb in North Carolina, he will be staying on till November 1, at the on season rate. Awesome. So that is taken care of. But I do miss going there sometimes.
Have a good day all. Just going to putter about.

Hoopoe bird. It doesn't breed here but is a welcomed visitor.

        Good morning everyone.

Manage to only get caught in the rain on our walk back from the Cemetery yesterday, so not too bad. The entire walk was just a tad over 5 miles. I took up a huge bunch of Hellebores of all shades.

Today I have no set plans apart from maybe sowing some Zinnias. So hopefully a nice relaxing day.

        Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

It is sunny but very breezy/gusty and 11c.

Friends who used to live here had Hoopoes nesting/living in the garden.

          Just a lazy Sunday here.

Morning all. 8:48 Am here, got up at 6:30Am to watch the sun rise. A brisk 24 degrees here. Unpacked my shipment of suet for the birds, good to go for next few months. Have 5 suet cages hanging, and two seed containers . Lots of activity with the birds, lots of noise this morning, chirping etc. Just going to putter about again today. Have an awesome day everyone.

                  A beautiful Goldfinch.

                  Good morning, how's everyone today?

We have a grey and probably damp day ahead.

Looking forward to a quiet day just pottering around doing a bit of this and that.

I might even get to dead head the Hydrangeas ( inbetween the rain showers)
... I've been saying this for the past fortnight. :heehee:

Whatever you're up to have an enjoyable day.

Good morning @Upsydaisy and everyone else ... I hope you all have a nice day.

I haven't seen any Goldfinches since living here. In my last garden I saw loads of them, and bullfinches too, but I haven't seen any of those here either.

I want to go to Carmarthen, to a second hand book shop I've found out about. I want to see if I can get a book called Collins Pocket Guide to Wild Flowers, which is out of print now.
The one I had became wet when water flooded the boot of my car many years ago, and the pages all stuck together. It's an excellent book and I want to get another one if I can.
Don't know if I'll go today, we'll see how I feel later on, and if I go it will be on the bus.

Sunny, 12c going to 22c. No gusty breeze today.

This morning I shall ask J move my Adenium Nursery from The Baffa window ledge to the glass coffee table between our chairs where we sit on the Front Patio so I can monitor them daily (and won't complain about J not watering things). I am trying to get him to understand when you are 20c+ every day (and 12c at night) and no rain. things have to be watered on a regular basis. After my cycling I will go sit in the sun and baby them.

Enjoy your pottering Upsy and hope you find your book Michael.

                        Hello Michael

We do get to see them here occasionally, but only fleetingly now and then, nest building time is the best.

I'll keep my fingers crossed :fingers crossed: that you you manage to find a copy of the book.

Have a good day, take care.xx

                          Morning Vicky

Gosh yes I'm watering the seedlings in the greenhouse daily as it gets surprisingly hot in there, touching 30C at times. I have to ensure that the door is propped open and that a breeze can't accidentally blow it shut by lodging a brick at the base of the door. Even on grey days like today it easily reaches 20C.

A tad concerning for when we go away I must say.

Still dry here so I ' m aiming to get outside in a minute before any rain appears.

I love this stage ,as you seem to as well ,of nurturing the seedlings.

                          Enjoy your day, take care.xx

Morning all, and its Monday. 7:23AM here. sipping my coffee. 24 degrees.
Just planning on grocery shop today. Have a list.

I was getting some Goldfinch here last fall have not seen any so far. I get a lot of blue birds here right now, the kind with the cute orange belly. They love my callicarpia berries, and eat them up like crazy. Well have a good day all.
