Good morning everyone.

We're celebrating hub's New Year and spent yesterday evening trying to contact his family but as usual at times of such celebration all lines were extremely busy . We will continue to try today and hopefully we'll have better luck.

We should be in for better weather today. It
was a very dull and dreary day yesterday and I just couldn't get warm outside, even in the greenhouse.

Definitely a relaxing ' go with the flow ' day today. We'll just see what comes our way.

I hope you all have s great day.

 

Another warm day ahead for us and will just spend a little time outside enjoying it. Will ask J to water pots today in The Courtyard but not sure anything has germinated.

Happy New Year R and hope you get through to the family and that all are safe.

Thanks for your good wishes, Oh they will be safe alright, no reason not to be. Not sure if we'll get to through during the day as everyone makes up picnics and heads out for the day to meet up with friends and family ,then it's the big celebratory main meal in the evening. Mind you they too have a rather damp forecast for today.Shame.

And its Tuesday again. Chess club meeting at 12:30PM. Some frost on the grass this morning.
When I am out at the meeting will do some errands in that location.
Just ordered some yummy food from a Ukrainian Church, some perogies and Polish Kelbosie . Picking up on April 1. Have made perogies in the past, its a lot for just 2 people to make them.
In the meantime, just puttering about. Should get back to cleaning out closets, too much still about I don't want anymore.

Golden Oriole, a summer visitor.

Good morning everyone

Over here I think most of us experienced a night of strong blustery winds but thankfully it's now a lot calmer.

We managed to speak to other members of hubs family in the end, it all sounded like a lot of fun was being enjoyed.

Off to visit my brother this morning , we will pop into the little nearby town centre afterwards to pick up a few bits of grocery items.

I think we have rain on the horizon for this afternoon....again.

I hope you all have better weather....well it's guaranteed that Vicky will.

Mornning Upsy. Yes, it is lovely and sunny but quite breezy. We are forecast to go down to 8c tonight so that will be a shock as we have been 12c of late. Going to 23c again today.

Have a safe journey to Rs and hope things are smoother than of late.

That pretty little flower Achimenes rhizome arrived and I planted it in a small pot yesterday.

Good morning all. 10AM here. Wednesday.
New person showed up to our chess club meeting , he brought his own roll out board and set, says he would play for money in Philly. Got one of the younger ones to play him for further learning , and the younger lost, but good lessons for all. One of the group brought me a dozen eggs from their own chickens, the eggs are all those beautiful colors, light blues, greens, and one an olive color. Certainly special to receive those.
Getting up to 60 today here. Some outside work to be done, always something. Have a good day all.

 

Good afternoon Vicky and Good morning redstar.

Thanks Vicky, yes all went quite well this morning and R seemed in good spirits. After he set off ( early as is usual )for his dinner we nipped off to the pretty historic market town's centre and bought some salad items. We got back at 1:30.

Just had a quick Chicken wrap with salad and I'm now off to water the seedlings in the greenhouse.

How kind, those eggs sound very pretty redstar. Fresh eggs are really yummy. We occasionally get given fresh ones from someone who keeps chickens in the nearby allotment.

Again a warm start here at 12c with a light breeze. Didn't get as cold as forecast and shouldn't get as warm this afternoon.

Nothing planned here. Don't know if J is shopping today and I will just do my now norm of being out front for an hour or so this morning tending to my nursery.
