Little Egret. Breeding in Dorset since 1969.

      Happy Saturday morning everyone.:)

I had quite a productive day yesterday despite some very dodgy weather. Completed the bulb planting and did a fair amount of potting on.

I even got round to moving some plants to more appropriate places in the borders too. There are more to move so hopefully I'll continue that job today.

First I need to walk down to the post office before getting down to garden tasks.

Weather wise not a bad day at all considering what we've had recently, rain isn't due to appear until late afternoon.

      Have a lovely day.

Morning all. Starting off at 14c going to 24c and breezy.

Just a quiet weekend here, spending some time outside and watching a few movies.

Hi Upsydaisy, I remember seeing a few egrets in Lanzarote near the coast, lovely bird.

well it’s rained plenty here along with blustery wind, it’s forecast dry weather this afternoon :dbgrtmb: think we may get out for a walk later.

Vicky sounds like your weather is glorious, blow it this way ;):spinning:

Yes, it is already at 24c, but we need rain and none is forecast for the remainder of the month ... and only two days in April. Maybe something will blow our way. We have had very wet Aprils in the past.

Hope you are feeling better. Have a nice day.

              Good day,
It is 35f 2c and heavy winds with rain. The guessers say that the temps will drop and we shall be on the receiving end of more snow. Our lawns and gardens are still mostly covered in snow and pretty much frozen hard. The only problem with having to wait so long to be able to get out and garden is that in the meantime, I've get loads of ideas floating about in my head about moving things around. Almost a "make work" mindset while waiting.

I am still quite busy but am taking a little break and I thought I'd pop in for a minute. :)

Sounds like wonderful weather @Victoria. @Flumpy our weather is very similar, just a few degrees lower over here. @Upsydaisy I wish I was planting bulbs or for that matter anything outside - I'm jealous!!

I've got the upstairs to vacuum today and laundry which I want to complete by noon so that I can spend the afternoon baking gluten free cookies for my autistic grandson.

And a client is dropping by to pick up her order too. More money for me to buy more soil :heehee:

              Cheers all :coffee:

Morning all, 9AM here. Saturday. Suppose to rain today, already looking stormy dark. Can always do inside stuff, never ending. Still cleaning out closets taking "office" clothes to thrift stores. Tossing shoes I will never wear again.
Posted some information on a few "car" facebook sites of our 6 car shows we are attending. Marketing our Sasha, one day to sell her.
Hope to get into other areas of the house to toss stuff out from. Organize, etc. Or not. What is retirement for, to do as you please. Marked my calendar for a trip to a Dam next week, told lots of eagles hang out there. Hope a good weather day for that trip. Husbands birthday is April 1st. arranged for a small gathering at a local restaurant, he knows nothing about it. Surprise. Have a good day all.

Nice to see you Lori ... sending you some warmth and sunshine too.
We brought six huge black garbage sacks of office clothes/suits/etc here and gave to charity ... after having taken lots to the charity store on the Isle of Wight before we left. Also distributed household items between the two places .... we came over in a big van.

Oh Lori you're back..:yahoo: good to have your company again.

Lovely and sunny here still, we called in to see my sister on the way back from the Post Office, we only planned to stay an hour but it ended up a 3.5 hour natter!!!

Just grabbed a quick salad lunch as I want to get some gardening done before our late afternoon rain arrives.

Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.

It's a beautiful spring day here and I've been sorting my new greenhouse out - i.e. arranging the shelves better and putting the cacti and succulents tidily on them. I haven't finished yet, but I've come in to feed Bella and have a cup of tea (and rest my bad knees, but I won't mention them)

It's nice that you all seem to be having a good day.
I couldn't live without rain, I enjoy it (but only if we get some warm sunny days in between)
I can definitely live without snow !

A Bluethroat...can often be found during its migration flight along our eastern coast.

Good morning everyone, I hope you all have a restful and relaxing Sunday planned.:)

Hip hop hooray :hapydancsmil:..longer days are here!!!!:yahoo:

Monday looks like it will be our only dry day of the coming week so unfortunately that means today will have to be a house-chores day for me:sad:

I might only actually just strip our bed and go on a laundry search around the house so as to be able to take full advantage of a drying day on Monday. The dusting and vacuuming might ( depending on the weather) get left until Monday ...or even Tuesday . ;)

Loofah's post yesterday reminded me that I had planned to divide some of our Hostas this year so hopefully I'll be able to nip out inbetween the showers and get that job done and ticked off from my ' to do' list.:fingers crossed:

All in all today we will enjoy a relaxing ' go with the ( rain) flow day.:heehee:

                        Have a brilliant day yourselves.

Morning Upsy. My radar shows a definite big rain system over the Southern UK. I would leave the dusting till a day you are forced to stay indoors. Stay dry!

Nothing to report from here. Just a normal quiet Sunday here, sitting out, pottering and a movie in the afternoon.

                            Long time no speak !!
A lot has gone on on my life, just moved house again now living only 5 minutes from the John Radcliffe hospital, so that's handy :yay:.
Not had much chance to do any gardening, going to have to do all my gardening in pots, this house has only tiled patio.. Never mind, you can do a lot with pots.

Yes, long time Liliana. I wasn't far from Oxford, five minutes from Thame. My gardening is all in pots as I have a Gardener for the heavy stuff.

                                Morning Vicky

Hope all is good with you two....must get to sit and email you. :blue thumb:

Yes exactly , that was my thinking too so as we had a bit of drizzle with the promise of a better afternoon to come I decided to crack on.

All upstairs is done and the new mattress is finally on our bed now...kept putting it off as it entailed a bit of negotiating to get it out of a spare back bedroom across landing into our bedroom . This new one is a lot heavier too .:phew::phew:

We must hook up the trailer when one of our brood comes down next as we have a lot of dumping to do...including our old fridge.:yikes:

Our weather isn't as bad as they forecast this morning..it looked horrendous on the weather website's animation!!

Enjoy your pottering in the sunshine. xx
