Sunday morning to you all, 9:32AM here. Rained all night.
Just heard of a horrid tornado that his a Mississippi town, 26 people killed, my nephew and his family live in Mississippi, have to see how close. His business is to get into town that are hit by bad weather and do the clean up. lots of trucks and equipment he has.

Love thrift stores, we used them a lot when furnishing our Airbnb, got some awesome deals, and all in perfect shape. And of course estate auctions. The only thing new we had to buy was the bedroom furniture. There are some big thrift store around here. Reminds me, should get back and look again.

Ring-Necked Parakeet ....an escapee that has become well established in certain parts of the country. My only encounters with them have been up in the London area where they have become a common sight.

I'm eager to open up the greenhouse to see how my little seedlings are after a nippy night but I will resist a bit longer until the temps rise a bit more.

I have to book cinema tickets today as a friend and I are planning to go tomorrow.

I also have to work out the best place to put all the remaining seedlings that are still indoors for when we go away at the end of the week. Normally I move them around to get maximum daylight.

No other plans, we'll just see where the day leads us to.

@redstar Hope your nephew is safe. I do not miss the tornados. We still have friends in Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina.

Just another quiet day here.

 

We had more sad news early this morning our lovely Uncle passed away in the early hours.
He did have medical issues but apparently he also went down with Covid, which is quite widespread in the nursing home he had just moved into.

I can't believe that he passed away exactly 9 weeks after our Aunt. In all honesty I think it was for the best, he had dementia and other health issues and had to deal with a multitude of lifestyle changes since our Aunt died and was finding it difficult.

Reunited with each other.

 

Good morning to you all on this fine sunny Monday. to get to 60 degrees here. Some dew on the garden. Keeping my hot pepper suet on the outside deck in a cooler to keep cold some raccoons decided to rummage into it last night, got a good mouth burn from one they started to chomp on. Maybe they will now never return.
Anyone walk out in the dark last night to try to see the 5 planets lining up. I think I saw them, will try again tonight.
Taking a short trip to an area to see if I can get some shots of eagles and other interesting birds. Hope to find an interesting lunch spot near.

Sorry about your loss @Upsydaisy , dementia is so sad to see happen to folks. My good neighbor's his wife has it, he takes care of her at home. Sad for him. He has a good daughter that comes by to help.

And thanks @Victoria , my nephew and family were too far from the area, all is well. That area in general gets several good storms through the years.
