Hazy sunny, breezy start here with 14c but it will soon clear.

Lovely flowers @Flumpy. Will contact you later.

Safe journey home Upsy and hope all plants are okay there. :fingers crossed:

Going to Albufeira late morning to collect my Biocard which went astray in the post and has been returned to the SEF (Border Control) Office. It was returned to the Faro Office but they apparently sent it to Albufeira. Good for us as Albufeira is 30 minutes away and Faro one hour. Whilst there J will see if he can get an appointment to renew his Permanent Residency which expired in February.

          Good day
It is now up to 36f 2c but a few hours ago, it was only 28f -2 which is a lot colder than the guessers said it would be. They usually predict on the pessimistic side so I was shocked that it wasn't warmer but instead nasty! I hope my onions survived their night out in the greenhouse

@Upsydaisy I hope your trip is uneventful and pleasant. @Victoria I agree that @Flumpy 's flowers are lovely.

The last of the snow on the lawn is gone now and with it being quite cold again last night, the ground will be firm. So today I start to move the wood pile. I'm hoping to get it done by about 2ish or so which means I'd better get out there and start soon as it is already almost 8.

          Cheers :coffee:

Hurray, got my Biocard. Nice girlie told J his Visa is good for a year so to keep trying the appointment line. On my Portuguese Forum someone said they issue new dates on the first of the month ... and when they are gone, they are gone. J tried when we got home ... and got an appointment in Portimao on the 18th.

Monday morning all, 37 degrees here, 8:32Am. Going to my favorite Garden Nursery today to find 2 unique Hellabores and a red bee palm . Hopefully nothing else will catch my eye. I do have two other plants on my list. will take their names and see if they carry them. They are very large nursery, awesome selections of things, and good prices. They are way out in the country down long open farm lands, weaving roads to get to, a nice drive, but worth it.

Our little kitty, Sissy Girl turned 19years old this month . Have a grand day all. S Sissy and Virginia BB.jpg

                    Back from Nursery with purchases.
Two White Hellebores, one red bee palm, 2 low growing sedum for shaded area. (last two
husbands request). I need another bee palm to add next to the red one already--want a little bigger showing of it in that spot. Already have a purple hellebores and 2 yellowish green ones.

Lady's Smock..also known as the Cuckoo Flower. Widespread throughout the UK.
I love the veining that runs through the Petals- such a delicate looking little wildflower.

                      Good morning everyone.

We had a good journey home, catching 3 trains but all ran smoothly and on time with just enough time between them all to grab a coffee. First train was 11:00 and we got back here at 1:30 , so not bad at all.

Pleased to find that all the seedlings inside the house and ( more worry provoking) outside in the greenhouse survived the dip in the weekend's temperature. I think last tonight was actually colder but thankfully I was here to fleece them all up. Our neighbours kindly opened and closed the greenhouse during the daytime.:)

Caught up on some much needed sleep last night as our son is worse than me in going to bed late, the two of us sat up until 2:30- 3am every night chatting away.
                      Precious times together.:imphrt:

                      Have a great day .

J is home and asleep ... on the sofa in the lounge so I creep around (difficult with a walker). He had the tooth out, goes back on the 14th for the fillings.

I have been sitting out front enjoying the wonderful scent of the orange blossom which is in full bloom now scenting house house as al the doors and windows are open. That is one reason we bought here,

                              Good day,
It is 43f 5c so very mild and the rain has been pelting down for hours.

I'm a bit stiff after moving the fire wood yesterday. It was a bit tedious as I had to remove it all from the 12' long stand, take the stand apart and make footings for it in the new location, then reassemble 8' of it and finally restack the wood. I made it's footprint smaller and simply stacked the logs higher. I am so glad I pushed myself to do it because it was a lot of trampling on the grass and today's rain will wash it all down and hopefully help it to start recovering.

I then used the last hour or so of the day to locate a dead solar panel and rewire things to accommodate for the power change. I need to pick up some flux before I can begin doing some soldering- that is after it stops raining. It was a bonus of a day. I started off with heavy outerwear and by the afternoon, was down to hoodie and jumper. :)

Today, because it is raining, I'll stick with doing a bit of shopping and inside puttering. My family is coming on Friday for a buffet lunch and I need to pick up a ham for the meat portion. And there are a few other bits and pieces I need.

@Victoria I hope J's extraction goes smoothly and doesn't cause a lot of post trauma pain.

                              Cheers all :coffee:
