    Good day
It is now up to 32f 0c and clear. It is supposed to warm up to be up to maybe 50f 10c. I don't care, as long as I see the sun, it makes my day happier.

@Upsydaisy I've experienced that situation where I feel as though I'm the Eveready bunny and can't find the off switch. You get so many things done and have satisfaction with that but then you just can't switch off your brain and keep thinking about more that needs doing. :doh:You need a relaxing day like @Victoria is having to help you switch gears. :blue thumb:

The kids and grandkids are coming over today for a Good Friday lunch. I am looking forward to a nice visit. I'm doing a buffet style lunch. Ham, potato salad, pasta salad, caesar salad, fresh plain or hot pepper rolls, chelsea buns and lemon cupcakes will be laid out for self service.

@Flumpy I still have several more nights predicted to be below freezing and don't expect our grass to start growing until toward the end of the month but starting tomorrow, I will be working on moving a 64 square foot raised garden. I have to dismantle the structure and then move the soil. It will probably take me most of the week. After that, I shall start trying to grow grass seed on the old garden bed. Exciting times are ahead for me :)

    Cheers all :coffee:

I also suffer with Tinitus, I find it worse if I’m stressed, worrying or not feeling well, hope it quietens off very soon for you :blue thumb:

Yes so do I and my hubs...I try hard not to focus on it as it is loud and never fades. That's why I always have music playing on low.
In the evening I have background white noise playing.
My sister wears sound generators which are combined within her hearing aids.

            Red Campion. Great for pollinators.

            Good morning everyone....it's the weekend!!:hapydancsmil:
Despite not going out to work anymore I still love the weekends. Unless I really have no other options I try to make sure that I don't do grocery shopping, or housework this helps to distinguish the two days from the rest of the week.

We also tend not to go anywhere , leaving the weekend activities to those who are working or go to college / school.

It would otherwise be so easy for all the days of the week to blend into each other and lose that 'weekend feeling '.....chill out time!!:recliner:

            Have a good one everyone.:dbgrtmb:

Bom dia a todos. The sun is breaking up the hazy cloud.

Nothing special here, a quiet day all round

Enjoy your weekend whatever you do.

That happens with me and several other people I know, all the days are the same. It doesn't seem to bother me though, although I think it's a good idea to be like you @Upsydaisy
                Enjoy the week-end everyone.

                  Good day
It is up to 26f -4c and the sunshine is sparkling on all of the heavy frost. The guessers have said to be patient because there will only be a few more days of nasty cold and then we shall start experiencing spring. They should tell that to the perennials out there as they are peeking out of the ground and inviting a bad case of frost bite!

I am anxious to move that one garden but I tried sticking a long tined fork into the ground and only got down about 2 inches. The spikes that anchor the base are about a foot long which of course means they are firmly frozen in place.

Yesterday was a lot of fun. @john558 you are always welcome to join me and mine for a meal and I would have gladly baked another dozen or so buns for you to take away too :)

Driving downtown Toronto after the lunch was not fun. But I promised to give two of the grandchildren a lift home following our visit and they live smack dab in the core so I made the drive. I believe it must have been the opening day for the newly renovated sports dome and that might have been the reason for such heavy traffic on a holiday.

I too have tinitus and I'm usually quite skilled at ignoring. I've heard it described as "ringing in the ears" but to me, it is more of a high whistle. Almost like the tone they used to use when television stations had stopped airing at night and just put up a "stand by" image and broadcast that noise.

                  Cheers :coffee:

Good morning all. Saturday. Head a little quieter today, its continued ringing noise. Sometime I think its also do to weather changes. But I slept well, so that is a plus.

Put out some butter to soften, thinking of making a new type of biscotti, called fig pepper. the one I usually make is with dried cherries, almonds, and candied orange rind. I so have some candied orange rind which I will throw in to the fig pepper one.
White spray painted the "used" wicker couch for the airbnb to take with us, have to get the pillow for it. Just as usually gathering stuff to take down there to always improve the place. Good for a large garage storage here for stuff. We do have a nice guy staying there till Nov. 1. he is contracted at the local military base till then. Problem is we can't then stay there. Oh, well, money is money. I hope we can go down around mid December when the boats on the river decorate themselves and parade on the river.
Brother in law coming later today to get some equipment from husband as he is redoing his house. He stays for dinner. Likes anything I make. Tonight making Chicken paprikash .
Tomorrow, Easter Sunday, we have reservations for dinner at a local restaurant.
Have a grand day all. Easter greeting..jpg

Hazy sunshine and 14c and looks like we might be touching 28c and hopefully the breeze is with us today.

A quiet day here enjoying the orange blossom and watching a movie or two.

Wishing a pleasant Easter Sunday to all.

Happy Easter all. He has risen, hallelujah .
Frost over night, some thin ice on water, sparkly frost on some plants this morning. Now 39 degrees here.
Brother-in-law brought some chocolates from Poland for us yesterday. He lives part-time in Poland and part-time an hour from us. He married a Polish women, her house is in Poland, sometime she takes a trip back here.
Well off to bake some biscotti, looked up two recipes for the Fig-Pepper---and compared to the one I normally use, the first two hardly use any "fat", so I am going to create my own using the tried and true one and just add the figs and pepper, toss in almonds also, and the candied orange rind.
Happy day all. its 8:51 AM now, here.

Unmistakably....The Daisy, found everywhere...or so it seems! :heehee:

Hello everyone and hello to a brand new week...of mainly wet weather .

It was a super day yesterday with sunshine from start to finish. It was a weekend of eating our meals outside, which we always try and do if the weather is good.

This time of year is not a good one for us, these next few weeks are filled with mixed emotions and painful memories. It's a relief when mid May arrives and the times have past us by for another year.

On the positive side, Spring has definitely arrived in our garden and new plant life is bursting forth, there's something new to spot nearly every day it seems, :hapydancsmil:

It's going to be a case of shower dodging today and making the most of all our lovely Tulips before the heavy rains and strong winds arrive mid week. Battered plants are a very sad sight ....cut down in their prime.

                              Have an enjoyable day.

Morning all. It is a hazy sun and very breezy ... we may get to 30c!

It is not a holiday here so another quiet day for us smelling the orange blossom.

Have a good day and enjoy.
