    Good day
It is 38f 4c and again, it looks like the sun is going to beam at me all day. It is not a holiday for most here either @Victoria.

@Upsydaisy those people aren't totally gone. They will always be present in the things they taught you and mannerisms you adopted from them. They are in your dna forever :) Yes, it is still sad when you think it would be nice to pick up the phone and hear their voice or offer you advice. It just shows how wonderful these people were.

I'm going to wait until it is at least up to the mid 40'sF before going out to start working on moving that bed. I've got wiring to sort, solder, bury and it's impossible to do that with cold stiff fingers. I am very excited about getting this done though.

I'll fill in the gap of time it's going to take to warm up with running out to do a quick shop. And hopefully I don't have to go out again until Thursday.

    Cheers :coffee:

Thanks Lori, yes my sensible head totally agrees with you. It's just the double whammy of it being both of them and all the lead ups that entailed.

I had planned to have a housework blitzing week due to our forecast . Made a good start this morning......but now temptation has made its self known to me, disguised as ....sunshine!!!:hotsun: I can't stay indoor cleaning now...can I.:nonofinger:

Monday morning. some overnight frost again. Husband went to the garden shop already, grass seed price from last year was $66.00 this year $99.00. horrid . Got some more weed killer to again stray on those horrid plants.
Lunch out yesterday was lovely, brought home some. The biscotti came out well, a dozen will go to my neighbor.
May 2 , now less than a month away for our first trip this year with our show car, we are going to Knoxville, TN, seeing a couple historic towns on the way there and back. Some stuff to do to the car before we leave still. Am I really retired? LOL. Have a good day all.

A real favourite the Primrose,it can pop up as early as December through to May. Widespread throughout Britain and Ireland.

          Good morning everyone.

Well yesterday's glimpse of the sun didn't last and today's weather looks very similar ..wet!

So it's continuing with the cleaning for me today I think.

Morning all. It is sunny and breezy with 14c going to 26c. We may get a little cooler toward the weekend.

Haircuts for both of us this afternoon. I haven't had mine cut since August except for me trimming around the face. That is the exciting day here today.

            Have a good one.

              Morning Vicky.

Gosh August!! Your hair must be quite long again now , are you having it cut a lot or just a trim and tidy up?

I've another 2 weeks to wait ( have mine cut every 8weeks normally) as I had to alter my appointments due to the funerals. I can't stand it , it's driving me nuts!!

We're enjoying some lovely sunshine at the moment but sadly it's all downhill after about 10am ..rain and then strong winds blow it......goodbye Tulips!!

Oh well!! I'm attacking our kitchen today that will keep me out of trouble hopefully.:dbgrtmb:

Have a lovely day both of you.xx

                Morning Upsy xx

Shortish layered as it medium layered now!. It is so thick.

Pleased you have some sun. We should be going back to normal and may even have a little rain toward the end of the month which the earth and trees will love.

Have fun in the kitchen ;) ... I am trying to get someone for a deep clean ... John may know someone. :fingers crossed:

                  Good day
It is 47f 7c and the guessers say we're going up into the 70'sF. This is such a nice little break for early spring. They say we're going to cool off over the weekend and the highs will be quite a bit lower but I'll take these days of heat as a bonus.

@Upsydaisy I fell in love with Primula the first time @shiney posted a picture of them. I have grown quite a few but I have never had success getting a lacey one to grow.

I trim my hair about every three months. I simply brush it, gather it as evenly as I can in a pony tail at the back and snip off approximately a couple of inches.

I had a productive day yesterday. There is only one wire left to sort out and I have made an extension to prepare to set that one up fairly quickly. The water lines are going to be a bit of a pain. I had forgotten that I had buried some of it quite far down.

I moved the rhubarb and asparagus but potted the chives and will do the same with the gallairdia and cranesbill because I simply do not know where the best location for them is. When I am done moving the soil, it will become apparent.

Best get going. I have some shopping to do today as I didn't do any yesterday and I have company coming for lunch tomorrow. And I've got a hell of a lot of soil left to shift!

                  Cheers:coffee:

Morning all. Tuesday, sunny, 39 degrees right now. suppose to get to 72 degrees.
Chess club meeting today at 12:30PM. guess I might go. See the gang. We chat about things when there. One of the members also has an Airbnb down about an hour from ours. She home schools 2 sons, and they are very smart, and well mannered, they are 10 years old, play a set with me sometime and other members.

Primula--one plant that I do like, have not used yet in my garden, I seem to lean towards the taller variety when I see it. Maybe one day. Have two Hellebores to put in today from the nursery. Yesterday boxed up 3 big clumps of Virginia Blue Bells, mailed to a friend in Georgia, USA. did a 2 day priority mailing. She's a good gardener, got some of my hosts in the past.

This hair cut discussion got me thinking when I last had my hair trimmed, looked at the current calendar, seems I did not go this year yet. I just ponytail it up when working, its a little past my shoulders, in a layered fashion. Still looks good. I used to wear my hair down to my waist, so length is not an issue, just think my mature face looks better with it shorter now. Guess I have to make an appointment soon, also get myself ready for our trip, a pedicure is needed for sandals. And a facial also. Might as well call today to set it all up.

@CanadianLori , have you ever made rhubarb water from your rhubarb? its delightful by itself over ice , or a shot of vodka or gin in it is good also.

                    Later.

Columbine, found in woodlands on limestone.

Not looking forward to today's weather one bit, to think we we're sitting out in the sunshine last weekend enjoying a BBQ!!! The strong winds are supposed to last all day. Fingers crossed the greenhouse comes through unscathed, not too confident that the Tulips will though.

Never mind at least the house is getting some long awaited TLC, I've been so preoccupied with seed sowing and nurturing lately that it hasn't been a high priority. Just a quick sweep/ vacuum and a flick of the duster has kept it ticking over.

Today is the cleaning of all the 10 downstairs doors ( glass).

Have an enjoyable day if you can everyone

A sunny breezy start but 14c, only going to 23c today so almost back to normal temps.
I feel very light headed today ... :heehee:

Meeting friends for lunch today. Nice place but they only do full meas not snacks and I don't like big meals in the middle of the day ... we only have something light or sandwiches normally.

Morning Vicky, sounds like you have a perfect day in store...enjoy.

I can't cope with big meals either , I hate feeling stuffed. Sometimes our plates can look pretty full but it's always with salad. :)

Getting dark here now and the wind is picking.

                          Have a super day.xx

                            Morning Upsy.

We'll see how it goes. If I remember correctly, they don''t even do main salads like tuna, just a small side salad for meals. I'll go look to see if they have their menu on line.

                            Stay safe and dry! xx
