@Victoria it only stings for the moments it takes to get the shot and after I'm only a bit sore for a day. I could have it in my arm or leg or whatever but I prefer it in the belly because I don't use it for gardening or chores and therefore it doesn't have any effect on my day

      Well...colourful to say the least!!!

Good morning, hope you're all well this morning.

Glad to hear you're feeling better Vicky, yes liquorice can present with some unexpected and equally unwanted side effects occasionally.

Gosh you'll be getting yourselves quite a top:star::star: rating for your friendly reception and as a top class dining establishment in the cat world!!!:cat-kittyandsmiley::cat-kittyandsmiley:

We all had a great day out yesterday ....left home at 9 and got back a tad before 5pm.

This morning hubs and I are off to visit my brother , picking up a few groceries from his little town centre on the way back.

Unfortunately the weather definitely has a dodgy look to it today so we could well return home a bit damp.

      Have a super day!!

        Morning all who visit.

No Tom visitation last night. J didn't put any food out testing. We don't really want to be The Cat Cafe! Our friend Caroline did that and now there are 35 moggies as several arrived pregnant. She has got all fixed now as Vet gave massive discount and she got some donations (including from me) as she has 100 Euros a week food bill. No thank you. We just watched the CCTV playback and there were two interlopers, a black one and one we saw the other night and they just had a drink of water and all leave the same way across the Dining Patio to the Orchard. I don't want diseases being brought here!

J meeting John today for their Friday lunch. I shall spend a few hours outdoors in a couple of sessions.

Hope all is well with R Upsy.

Thank you Vicky, yes I hope so too.:fingers crossed:

I can understand not wanting to chance bringing in any disease or other illnesses on to your property and risking the health of the gorgeous Furballs. :dbgrtmb:

We're off now so catch up later , enjoy your day.xx

            Good day
It is 44f 6c and cloudy but the guessers say that those will start clearing out and we will get some much needed sunshine.

I hope your visit with your brother is pleasant @Upsydaisy. And @Victoria I hope you are not visited by strays.

I'm going to do my Hilda look this morning as I work outside to get things ready for planting out time. I have two solar panels that I want to mount up at the side deck. As you know I hate heights so I just want to get the nervous work done first and handle the wiring after the fact. Once they're up, I'll breathe easy. I have a real jumble of things down my side deck that need to be tidied up or cleared out. Then I will be ready to get down and dirty tomorrow  Maybe the reaching and stretching will help my lower back too. Weird that it was fine all through the wood and garden moving and now, over a week later, I am quite sore. Obviously I did something wrong without even knowing it! perhaps it's time for a piece of fudge.... ;)

            Cheers :coffee:

Hi Lori, sorry to hear about your sore back, it so easily done at this hectic time of year in the garden. Have some magic fudge and slow down a bit.....a lesson I've had to learn is the garden is very forgiving and will wait.:blue thumb:

Thank you @Upsydaisy . I took an ibuprofen instead only because I am taking your advice and slowing up and taking a few breaks. If I use the fudge, I don't stop moving about and I figured I'd just pace myself instead.

It is now a glorious sunny day. 56f 12c and in the sun, it is absolutely marvelous :spinning:

Now here's a prickly one especially for Michael :dbgrtmb:.

Good morning to each and everyone. :)

We have a miserable day ahead judging by our forecast, so it will and up as a ' go with the flow ' day I expect.

I do have a couple more trays with seedlings that need potting on so I will probably tuck myself away in the greenhouse and do them.

I will try my very best to avoid all media cover of the .......

Not a lot else to report as not a lot else is going on
                  here today.

Enjoy your day whether or not you're planning to watch the.........

Well ! funny I should read this thread today  (I don't awlays get around to it and don't always know what to say)
I love that teapot but I don't think it would pour very well.

In fact I only use loose tea, Tea bags are too strong. I can even make 3 cups from a 'one cup' bag. The thing is I don't like reusing them so they're a waste. (B always used to tell me I drank coloured water not proper tea :heehee:)
I usually use a strainer and put it in a cup/mug and pour the water on to it, but a teapot would be nice.

Re pouring, it's best to use a china tea pot. That is because the spout is thinner and the tea doesn't tend to dribble down the outside of it, like it does with the thick spout of a pottery tea pot. I learnt that when I went to pottery classes.
That reminds me - I must get my pottery/ceramic workshop (old garage) up and running again this summer :dbgrtmb: ... I may start doing that this afternoon since the weather's going to be wet (I will also be avoiding the ...)

Enjoy your greenhouse day @Upsydaisy ! xx

Morning. It is a lovely Spring morning here and the forecast looks good for the afternoon ... not too hot and breezy.

J meeting John to attend a musical afternoon of a guy they know. I like him too but don't fancy sitting for three hours in the heat. It is in a new cafe (called Victoria's) about 15 minutes away. I shall just potter ... started a new afghan yesterday.

Send us some rain please Upsy.

Morning Michael. No I don't really think the pot is fit for purpose either. Like you we don't like strong tea and if using bags then it's one to a pot. Our kids always complain that is coloured water too!! :roflol:

What a good idea about the pottery workshop look forward to seeing pics of your creations in the near future.

Aw that's a shame, hasn't the cafe got a nice shaded area, it sounds like it could be fun.

Grey here but so far no rain....if we get any I will whoosh it your way.

                                Good day
It is 46f 7c and sunny sunny sunny!!

While the first kettle of the day was getting up to boil, I went out and trimmed some branches from a tree that was threatening to shade my solar panels. And I tidied up some of my animal netting to make it easier on the eyes.

@Victoria I'm with you. I can' just sit in the sun for any length of time. You almost feel like you need to be on a rotisserie! @Michael Hewett I wish I had the skills to make pottery, I envy you. And @Upsydaisy you're right to with the flow. I like my tea strong so I can clearly see that if we ever meet up, we'll have separate pots  @Flumpy I know you visit but just don't have the time to post so I wanted to just say "hello" and "be well" :)

I'm thinking of taking some things out of the greenhouses. What overnight low does everyone else here think is safe to do so? I keep arguing with myself over that one.

                                Cheers :coffee:
