      Good morning, how's everyone today?

Lori please may I also book places for two, it sounds absolutely scrumptious.

The film was absolutely brilliant, we've lost such an amazing talent. What a voice!:love30:

I know that I always seen to say that the films I see are brilliant.:heehee:...not sure if I'm just easily pleased or whether I'm good at selecting ones that match my likes so perfectly.:noidea:

There are 3 more that have been released this week that I am wanting to see in the coming weeks. It certainly helps to beat the Winter blues.:blue thumb:

The other good thing is that hubs does the grocery shopping while I'm chilling out enjoying the films.;):heehee::yes:

Today looks to be a mixed bag of weather, so when it's dry I'll be out in the garden and when it's wet I'll be keeping out of mischief in the greenhouse sorting out pots and trays in preparation for.....seed sowing time!!!:hapydancsmil: It's getting nearer.

      Have a great day .

      :spinning:

Morning @Flumpy ....early starts are often the best . My normal start time was 7 am but one little boy was always dropped off at 6am..which was fine on the days it didn't coincide with the care requirements of another family, who needed a late shift and dropped their child off at 3pm until Dad picked up at 8:30pm.....14 .5 hour days!! Not good.

            Morning all.

Pleased you enjoyed the movie Upsy. Did your Sis go in the end? how is her poorly cat? I would think your greenhouse and pots are spotless by now.

            Enjoy your half day Karen,

Lori, I thought of the pinwheel sandwiches (remembered the name). You mentioned salmon ... I used to do tinned salmon blended with cream cheese, a little lime juice and black pepper as a spread. You can add thin sliced cucumber too.

J's car in today for service/MoT/IPO. It goes just up the road. Nothing else on the agenda.

Hi Vicky, yes she did. ,only issue was that I didn't realise that she needed to go shopping afterwards!! She looooves shopping :yikes::thud:. We went in the morning and I didn't get home until gone 4!!!

:heehee: I so wish my greenhouse was!! The trouble is it gets sorted then after a few weeks of gardening, especially in the winter when we get an unexpected downpour everything gets rushed back in there and dumped , creating another untidy mess that requires sorting. Never ending, but it does make a good place to escape too at this time of year.

Hope all goes well with the IPO test today :fingers crossed:.

              Have a good one.:):SUNsmile:xx

:oopss:.....sorry forgot to add that her cat seems stable at the moment, she does have occasional off days. She is now getting a bit difficult in being encouraged to eat but we can't quite suss out whether or not she's just being a bit of a diva and only demanding to very best!!!
She went for a check up and another course of medication at Christmas and the vet seemed happy enough with her response, although obviously she is still poorly. :cat-kittyandsmiley:

Good grief. J hasn't driven his car since he got it back from the repair shop as he needed an MoT/IPO. He said he started it over the weekend but now it doesn't start so he has put it on charge! I would have tried to start it yesterday ... but ...

                        Good day
It is 29f -3c and cloudy. Again. Snow flurries are predicted. So nothing earth shattering.

@Victoria yes, that is what those horizontally cut bread slices would be for. Spiral sandwiches. I have a mandolin so can slice cucumber very thinly. :blue thumb: The get together is not until the 26th so I have to wait a bit before I can start playing with the macarons as it is my understanding that they do not store very well. I can make the petit fours and mini tarts in advance and freeze them though :) Because I'm making pastry, I figured I'd throw in some mini quiches too. Maybe cheese and chives. I'll pull out the glass platters today to figure out how I'm going to lay everything out. Lots of fun ;)

I have a bit of shopping to do today. I need to go to a spot that has big box stores so I'll park smack in the middle of the parking lot and walk to one store, back to the van then walk another direction to a different store and so on. Sort of get some walkies in while I'm out.

@Flumpy years ago when I was in between careers, I worked for Atomic Energy Canada and they let me work flex hours. I used to go in very early every day and then I'd be back home for the good hours of the day.

                        Cheers all :coffee:

                          Good morning.

That was a very windy night and I'm dreading what may have got battered and broken in the garden.

Accompanying my sister to attend her hospital app this morning but apart from that there are no other set plans today as the weather still remains horrendous.

There's always housework to keep me busy I suppose. ;). Take the day as it comes.:dbgrtmb:

                          Enjoy yours.

Hi there @Flumpy , I haven't had time to look as I'm just off out I will at lunchtime when I get back. Our wind speeds reached 58mph. I blame the Isle of Wight!!!:roflol:

Not sure why, but neither of us had a good night, plus Munchkin got sick around 2am, so we are slowly trying to wake up.

It is sunny but a nippy 10c heading for 18c.

The pic made me chuckle Upsy. Hope the hospital visit goes well.

                              Nothing planned here today.

It would my Sister's 76th birthday today. She sadly died in May of 2014 ... but sent Van to us the weekend she passed. She loved Turkish Van cats (they were going to buy a home there) and always had Siamese. Our Butterball looked like a Van cat when he was small and skinny but turned out to be a Siamese Cross Snowshoe. Hence us calling him Van but he had such an appetite when we adopted him two months later we christened him Hoover Van Dyson. :cat-kittyandsmiley:
