Hello all, back safe and sound. Tired. Garden is a jungle. Mail, bills, luggage, washing clothes, food shopping , taking car in for oil change has to be dealt with. Our next trip is May 20 to June 7th. Hope to catch up later. Have a good one.

        Morning Lori

Hmmmm I am very tempted to start planting out I must admit. The temps are Ok here too it's just all the rain!! It's been battering at times plus the fact it brings out the snails and slugs, they like nothing better than young fresh leaves!!:yikes:

We have rabbits but unless they're ill they keep out of our garden preferring to stay in the surrounding fields.

        Enjoy your day.

This is how I feel. We had a visitation at 3am with Van waking us by loudly shouting out the window. I told him to please invite his "friends" during daytine hours.

J meeting John for the usual Friday lunch. J started a Music Venue Forum about two years ago where people can post where they are playing.. It is called The Bubble and part of his hobby site. There are about 2,000 members and J and J are the Administrators and always have lots to talk about.

                      Good day
It is 61f 14c and the sky is hazy. It could be because of the Alberta fires creating a thin layer of smoke across the atmosphere. I cannot figure out why they did not create fire breaks or do controlled burns out there on the prairies since there is so much flat land. You'd think it would be a normal form of land maintenance given these fires are a yearly happening and the moaning sounds like it is new and unexpected, every time it happens!

I didn't get much planted yesterday as I decided to quit swerving around the mounds of empty pots and clean those up, refill them and stow them for next year. Today I can do some more planting and build another pile of empty pots to swerve around :heehee:

I got a message from granddaughters (15 year old cousins) that they want to come visit tomorrow. One lives an hour from here and I'm not sure if they're expecting me to come fetch her and drive her home after. Doesn't matter, it's always fun. I'll fill up on petrol today and be ready.

                      Cheers :coffee:

oh, and forgot to mention that my library had advised me that my reservation for "Spare" was ready so I read a few chapters of that last night. It is difficult to try to be impartial while reading it as I have formed the opinion that the prince did, indeed, betray his family with his destructive tell all attention seeking.

Morning all, May 12th here. Friday.
Thanks for the Teapot @Upsydaisy , cute. Still a lot to do abut the garden . Managed to get the front part mowed late yesterday after some food shopping. Back side next. Beds need attention. Then to plant seeds on Mothers Day. One of the seeds are morning glories, their flowers are 6 inches across, I have them climbing on the deck railing, they did very well last year, blues and pinks and whites. And another pot is the moon flowers, also climbing, but over on the other side on a tomato stake. Hope to get to the garden center for some plants for the pots. I wait until after Mothers Day here, as frost can happen up to then.
Husband working on the "show car" seems there is an issue with the spark plug cables, the coverings are melting. He has to find replacements.
It was awesome seeing my cousin Cindy in Tennessee, spent a lovely day together.
Next car show is in Springfield, Missiouri, have to check the weather, of course, hate being hot. Some side trips planned along the way there, but none on the way back as we have to get to the next show June 2nd. Thank goodness that next show is only an hour from our house. So I will follow the trailer with my car and possibly not stay there, just get back home. And go again another day. Then a nice break the rest of the month. But I am suppose to plan a trip to Nova Scotia in June, been on my bucket list forever, the virus slowed down that thought process and I started thinking getting to Maine instead, as the Bay of Fundy is still in that area for some whale watching.
Well back to the tasks. Have a good day all.

Finally typing my last Teapot Morning Greeting.:heehee:

Good morning everyone, yes I know you'll all miss the teapots!!!:roflol:

The weather is looking pretty good today, might go for a walk ...if we can tear ourselves away from the call of our garden.

I'm seriously considering planting out a few plants but only ones that have been in a sheltered corner of the garden throughout the winter. I have however started to harden off this year's sowings that are in the greenhouse/ coldframes.

Spoke to baby son last night , after his recent failed attempt to come down for a weekend he hopes to make it in a fortnights time.:fingers crossed:

Still pondering on what my next ' theme' will be.:noidea::scratch:

                            Have a fab day everyone.

Maybe my cats need to take a holiday. I too need to think.

No visitations in the night so a peaceful sleep was had by al. Hurray!

Nothing planned for today. We will watch the Eurovision final tonight.

                                Good morning Vicky :)

Sounds exciting, are you thinking about taking a holiday?

Glad to hear that you had an undisturbed nights sleep . Disturbed sleep can wear you down after a while, I can remember back to having son no.1, I just hadn't realise that newborns woke up every 3 hours demanding a feed!! It certainly was a shock to my system!!:yikes:. I felt like a walking, talking zombie for the first 3mths.....then bliss, he started sleeping through the night
I resumed my life feeling like a human again.:dbgrtmb:
