    Good day
It is 57f 11c and the guessers say we will get up to the high 70's or around 27c. There is still some haze in the sky but the wind has changed direction so the smoke will be going back from whence it came. We had a good rain yesterday and the next is expected late Sunday night and into Monday. The grass and gardens will be happy. :)

I have reservations for myself and the granddaughter who lives just a few blocks from me, to go to a bee farm. We are attending a 2 hour guided tour. And it's free! I would have preferred to have both granddaughters with me but the other lives over an hour from me and adding 4 hours of driving would have made the little excursion something not doable today. I'll come up with something when the school year is done at the end of the month. The three of us can do a day trip somewhere.

I've got laundry on the go and a few other chores to do before going out.

    Cheers :coffee:

      Morning all.
@Upsydaisy, we use that car mechanic often, for our "fleet" . Next month two more cars go in for their annual /yearly "inspection". It is a "state" thing that cars have to be inspected yearly, not every state has that, but mine does. Just another thing to spend money on.
I did tell him he did not have to rush, as we have other cars to drive about with if necessary.

Have to be in the garden today, so behind because of that trip, too many things to focus on. Sweeping out the gazebo, setting up the cushions. etc. I need to find someone to power wash the gazebo and stain it , that is just too much for me to do. But after it is all set up for the summer that will then wait till I pack it all away for the winter. Fill the fountain and get it started. Prune and pull some excess plants.

A few folks about me, have gotten their own Bee Hives, and they sell the honey. Nice to get local honey. @CanadianLori.

Monday, "the car" goes into her Spa for some fixing up. some detailed things need attention by the builder. So a trip with her to the next town over.
      Have a good day all.

        Hello redstar

Similar here too, once over 3yrs all vehicles have to have a yearly check to prove that they're safe and road worthy . It's illegal to drive without the certificate.

That said you still get chancers on the road that are stopped for dangerous driving, sadly normally under the influence of alcohol or/ and drugs and then it is found that they have no driving license, no tax/insurance and no MOT certificate either.

          Good morning everyone.

My fingers are superglued in a crossed position :fingers crossed: for some much needed rain today.

We had a bit more cloud about yesterday and that seemed to make it feel more oppressive. Not nice at all.
Apart from doing the dreaded grocery shop in the morning I didn't really do much else apart from some more laundry ( washable winter coats ). Went out at 7:30pm and did a lot of deadheading though.

How exciting Lori a trip to a Bee Farm...sounds very interesting .

Well that's it...I'm off to do a rain dance now, have a restful Sunday.

              Good day
It is 60f 14c and the skies are cloaked in clouds. The guessers say that we'll get rain later today and on and off through the night. I've still got a lot of grass seed that hasn't germinated so I'm hoping this wet boost will help. I'll try to send you some of the wet stuff @Upsydaisy .

The bee place was lots of fun. I learned a lot about the various bees and also they were generous in talking about their resident bats and birds. I had some bees come and sit by/on me while waiting for the tour to start and granddaughter was fascinated that I didn't flinch at them using me for a resting spot.

There are a couple of server fans in greenhouse 1 (the 6x8) which have failed to come on at night so I have some wiring to sort out. The battery is fully charged and so I know it is not power shortage so there must be a short somewhere in the line going out. I like to keep air circulating in my little greenhouses 24/7.

And I am going to have my Corrie morning while in my Hilda get up. upload_2023-6-11_7-6-12.jpeg

              Cheers :coffee:

Morning all. So far lovely weather, 68, says it will get to 85.
Yesterday I , organized the gazebo, sweeped out the winters dust and cob webs, too all cushions out of the bins, set up the furniture. Filled the fountain. Set the chairs up outside the gazebo. Now to put the bins away for the summer.
More to do in garden today. Recall reading a book about bee's when very young, an awesome little creature. Sometime I feel bad that we take theri honey, so much work they do to make the honey.
                Have a grand day all.

Good Morning all, hope your weekend was a lovely, restful one.

We're still bone dry and waiting with bated breath for some droplets from above. Will today be the day???? :rain:.....:fingers crossed::fingers crossed: Nope that has now magically vanished overnight It seems.:cry3:

We went for a nice local walk yesterday morning.... optimistically taking our umbrellas with us. Called in to see a friend en route.
Had a restful afternoon sat out in the garden under the parasol....waiting for the rain that never came.
Oh well it was a very relaxing and enjoyable day nevertheless.:)

No set plan for today apart from a couple of phone calls to make and one video call to a friend.

Hope you all have a great day.

Just love the bread house Upsy!

Finished watching Hidden yesterday ... now will start Hinterland.

J has appointment with Physio Head Honcho this afternoon in Portimao (about a 45 minute journey depending on traffic).. I suggested he take his back MRIs with him as has not done any followup on that ... he said that was a good idea!!! I may plant my seeds on a paper towel this morning after cycling.

Rain is now a distant dream for us, maybe October ....

                      Morning Vicky :)

Thanks...plenty more weird but wonderful to follow!!:heehee:

I stlll have a couple of episodes of the last series of Hidden to watch, do you speak Welsh??

We had a 10 min rain shower 5 weeks ago but nothing since. That's too long a gap for me......I need to see lovely lush greenery not the brown crispy parched look that's gradually creeping in everywhere.

That said I have noted that because some friends and I have planned a day out somewhere next week......rain is now showing up on our forecast for the day we've decided on......typical!!!:wallbanging:

Hope all goes smoothly for J today.

Speaking of parched ....I need a coffee!! :coffee:

                      Have a fab day m'dear.xx

                              Good day
It is 62f 15c (today's high to be 17c) and has been raining all night. I had to go out first thing and clear one of the gutters feeding a rain barrel as it had debris blocking the water from flowing. Got out my umbrella and it is all cleared now so there is plenty of water for plants in the greenhouses as the outside is getting a good soaking. Even the bird bath is overflowing! Obviously I won't be dong any gardening today.

I see that the wild fires in northern Quebec are now pretty much contained and the incoming rain to that area will be a big help to them. Apparently 140 firefighters from Spain and Portugal are going to be flying here to help with the fires.

I have no idea about what shows you are talking about as I more or less use my television as a radio with the exception of "my show" which I still putter around while it airs.

                              Cheers :coffee:
