Good day. busy morning. 3:14 PM now. much needed rain bucketing downward now.
Not into much TV these days. Probably don't get those shows mentioned. I may look at something on Netflex for one hour, then bed.
Guess no excuse back to some house cleaning, can't go outside.
    Later.

      Good morning.:)

I've not been sleeping much these past days, so hot, stuffy, muggy you name it and it is it...all except for drippy, damp ,wet and rainy !!

Another hot day in store for today. I've decided that I'm not doing anything of any value today ...just going chill and read my library book. My age is definitely beginning to get the better of me....not coping with it or liking this heat at all. :thud::phew:

redstar believe it or not we don't watch much tv either, never goes on during the daytime. I only watch what I particularly want to see , normally on catch - up tv after 9pm. If there's nothing then I will read.

Keep cool everyone and enjoy your day.

Morning all. A beautiful start to the day going to hot and breezy, but normal for here.

J's appointment went well. Physio Doc spent 45 minutes with him going over history. Is setting him up for a shoulder ultrasound and 12 Physio sessions at which the Physio will also give him a Diclofenic injection. His car wouldn't start when he came out but after five minutes got it going. Detoured to Silves on the way home and picked up his new glasses which he is very pleased with. Went through some heavy rain but none here! Got home 5ish, having left at 1.15pm.

        A quiet day today.

          Morning Vicky,

Unfortunately it seems it's fast becoming the norm here too.....bring back the good old British summer....a bit of everything is a good mix.:)

Glad to hear that J's appointment went well. A shot of Diclofenic will make him more comfortable. I was on the tablet form for years and years along with stomach liners. I decided to stop everything back in 2016. I think you can now buy ( a milder dose ) over the counter without prescription here.

          Hope the car is OK.

New glasses.....he'll be a new man soon, an upgraded model!!!!

Have s lovely day both of you, still debating on how to spend my day, library book...off and on. Walk over to my sister's to see my great nephew.....maybe.

Morning all, 7AM here. Tuesday. All my seedlings are sure happy with that rain, seems they all grew an inch overnight. So soggy out now, and a nice chill.
We finally got our bundle of tax papers back from the accountant, and when she did all the figures we owe no taxes to the government, infact getting some back. Yeah.
Today, is the Chess Club meeting, have not been in a while, so planning to go today, looking forward to seeing all them again.
Should get some food shopping done also, senior discount day in a couple food stores, and bag discount also. (get 5 cents off any reuseable bag you bring). and 10% off entire bill for being a senior.
And I am still not totally rested up from that trip, getting there. Trying to be kind to myself for a bit. Sasha the car went into her Spa yesterday, that means she is with her builder, some things need to be done to her. She will be there for several weeks. But, our next trip we leave July 30. for Louiseville, KY. a 10 hour drive.
            Have a good day all.

              Morning redstar......am I envious of your rain?.....YES!!!

Yes you must take things easy ,for a while at least, as you've had a pretty hectic time lately. It's often when the pace slows down that it hits you with just how tired you feel.

A tax rebate is always a welcome spirit lifter.

              Enjoy your day.

                Good day,
It is 55f 11c and very sunny. The guessers say that this week it will be cool, sunny, cloudy, rain, then for the weekend warm and sunny. I guess we'll see too!

Nice that you got a rebate @redstar . I did this year too and then my van and my car decided they wanted new mufflers and my car also demanded new summer tires all round. That took care of that money!

Sorry to hear you're not sleeping well @Upsydaisy. Any time it is hot and sticky, I find that my overhead fan helps me sleep. The flow of air over me seems relaxing.

@Victoria we all seem to have doctor's appointments coming around like a revolving door. I go to get my prolia shot today. It was a bit of a panic stations yesterday as my repeats had run out for the shot and the doctor's office was not responding to the pharmacy asking for their approval to provide the hypo to me. I didn't get to pick it up until 3 yesterday which is cutting it close as the pharmacy doesn't open this morning until after my doc's appointment so it was pick up yesterday or postpone the appointment.

Today I'm going to add perches to my hummingbird feeder so that it is easier for the wee things to feed. They are so light, I can get away with using some security fence wire to create them.

And with all the rain, like @redstar, all of the seedlings grew seemingly overnight but so also did the weeds.

                Cheers :coffee:

                  Morning Lori.

It must be lovely to see Hummingbirds in your garden, it's strange how we always think of other countries birds as 'exotic'.

No pleasing me I'm afraid....get too cold with the fan on.

Must go and Google these ' mufflers' .I asked after them the other day but didn't get an answer.

                  Have a fab day.

@CanadianLori , the "extra" money already has been ear marked, just going to pay part of a bill. Waiting for it to hit our checking acct.

Hummingbirds, did I ever tell you all about Ramsey Canyon, AZ, the migration of about 16 species of hummers happen there in September. Was an awesome trip. We stayed on a ranch in a little cabin. She had a long string of the sugar water feeders hung on the various porches there. At least 10 hummers bouncing about at every feeder, the wing noise is unreal, and they chirp a lot. So if you go, just look up that area and find any local B&B near by to stay, they all host the hummers.

                    Good morning everyone.

                    How are you all today.....well I hope.

We were going to visit my brother today but have now decided to go on Friday when it may be a couple of degrees cooler. It will put us all in a more socialising mood hopefully ;) :heehee:.
So it looks like another day of chillaxing under the parasol again.

I hope your plans are more exciting than ours are. Enjoy your day.

                      Morning all.

Our temps are creeping up. May be 36c in places near here today, We have been fortunate enough to have a refreshing breeze.

J meeting someone this morning buying microphones. We are now being charged for internet by the company we now don't use !!! so he may go by their office and speak to them.

I am hoping a caudex I ordered from China last week is here ... it is in the country. Plus I have Alstroemeria roots to plant. which I took out of another pot when I repotted an Hibiscus syriacus I did from seed last year (no idea what colour).

Watched the first epidode of Hinterland ... we really liked it.

Have a good day whatever you are up to.

                          Good day,
It is 55f 12c and sunny and a stiff breeze to go with it. We'll be lucky to get up into the 70'sF low 20'sC. The guessers say it will cloud over and rain later, just as it did yesterday.

@Victoria I wish I could get my hands on some Alstroemeria roots. I would be happy to put them in big pots and bring inside to overwinter. There just doesn't seem to be any sources here.

I've got a tiny to do list and none of it includes stepping outside the property line so my day is going to be no more exciting than yours @Upsydaisy . :)

                          Cheers :coffee:

I watched the last in the final series of the Hidden last night so I will start on Hinterland tonight.

                            Love the stool Vicky.:)

We are off visiting this afternoon now Lori.. our patio thermometer reads 31c and we're going to walk over to see them too. Good job we still have a lovely cooling breeze to take the edge off the heat. :dbgrtmb:
