    Good day
It is 57f 14c and sunny. The guessers say it is going to be a pleasant dry day which means I will be making some rounds with the watering can to try to encourage the last patches of new grass to grow.

Your houses @Upsydaisy make me wonder what they are like inside and also looking out.

My to do list today is like a day of slouching. Pretty much what my mood steers me to do. My fingernails are fine and I don't do the tub thing but I think your idea of a DIY pedicure is a good idea for me too @Victoria and that is what I shall do.

While the kettle boiled I cut off some of the canna lily leaves. Those pots sit on the front porch and we did have a few brutal windy days that chewed the leaves. Very unsightly.

I shall be crushing and freezing some hot peppers today. My @shiney hybrid superhots are already ripening and I harvested those yesterday. Latex gloves will be used!

    Cheers :coffee:

Morning Lori. I have always been a DIY person. I only started going to a hairdresser four years ago when I reinvented myself after I was bedbound and couldn't stand my long hair strangling me.

My nails are very strong and it is best if I do such after a good soak in the tub. Just about to do hands ...

Oh, I wish I had your hair. My hair is very dry and curly. I cannot wash it every day because it is so dry and when I let it just curl, the next morning I looked like part of the "Quest for Fire" cast! Hence the Hilda Ogden mode come in. My nails are fairly strong but everyone once in awhile I abuse them on my dominant hand and have to emery all of them short to match ones I've broken.

Happy Monday Morning. 9:41AM here, 72 degrees already.
A couple shopping stores to get to today. I have been trying to find replacement cargo shorts for myself out of the canvas material, they seem to think females want that thinner type. Hope a "sports" store has them. And then to a "food store " near by that sells the more organic things, and extra things "normal" food stores don't sell.
Finger nails, they come and go for me, sometimes they grow nice sometime they don't gave up years ago, I keep them medium short and unpainted. My fingers now are curling with the arthritis so don't need attention drawn to them. As far as my hair, have always washed it only twice weekly, still remains thick with a little wave, I keep it shoulder length, and my young color of a copper crayon, now is a ginger blond, and that I believe is the red head gray. When I was young my hair was down to my waist, somewhere around 33 years old got it cut to shoulder length, its remained there since, some layering done to it also.
Maybe I will get to a few garden needs also today.
Take care all. Have a good one.

              Good morning.:).

More rain!!  Woke to hear heavy rainfall around 4am. It passed fairly swiftly and it's now dry with the occasional glimpse of sunshine.

Vicky your nails look lovely, my older sister has always had great nails too.
Mine are the opposite they split vertically down the nail, they are very brittle and snap and flake at the tips.
Unfortunately I have typical hairdresser nails/ hands.
I suffered from severe Dermatitis throughout my 3 years of training to be one .I was constantly at the Drs trying out new lotions , creams and barrier creams too. For the whole training period I had to apply this horrid thick fatty cream then wear cotton gloves at night.

              Most hairdressers have horrid hands.

I have to keep my nails short as they will only end up breaking and in doing so that's when they split downwards too.

I hope to plant out the very last of the plants that I didn't have time for yesterday...then that will be that.
At least the ground will be nice and moist for them after all the rain

              Have an enjoyable day everyone.

I have gone Tropical as Summer begins. I do not like Summer.

It is funny ... I chewed my nails as a child! They are virtually unbreakable and I use them gardening (lots of nailbrush scrubbing here), My hairdresser always marvels at them and says I have the thickest hair she has seen. Strange since I have weak bones and teeth??? My Sis was the same as were our Mother and Father.

Nothing planned for today except Post Office run.
:hapfeet:I got e-mail from SEF/Border Control yesterday saying I could make appointment for J's Visa Renewal ... he goes to Loule at 11am tomorrow. Let's hope the computer will be up and running then. :fingers crossed:

Hope you get a bit more rain Upsy. No chance of any here.

                  Morning Vicky.

Strange isn't it, maybe all the vitamins are going to your hair and nails...no idea where mine are going!! :roflol:

Thanks ,yes definitely still need some rain to penetrate through our clay here. Next predicted 'bit' is for between 5-6pm on Thursday but the precipitation is very low ,so I won't be banking on it.

At least it's looking good for tomorrow when I have my IOW trip.:dbgrtmb:

:fingers crossed: For a working computer for J's Visa Renewal.

                  Have a lovely day.xx

I only take a daily Multi Vitamin plus a B12.

Where on the IoW does your friend live? We were in Bonchurch on Shore Road between Ventnor and Shanklin.

It has gone very overcast here.

I meant vitamins in general that your body has absorbed naturally from food and sunshine over your lifetime Vicky, not daily supplements.:):blue thumb:

Not going over to her place I don't think, just all meeting up in West Cowes , have lunch and make plans from there....main objective was to see each other again, as the friend that lost her hubs at Christmas said, 'you never know how many tomorrows you have left' .We haven't all got together since before Covid. Should be good, really looking forward to it.

                          Good day
It is 63f 16c and there are only a few clouds in the sky. The guessers say that it will be very warm today and the "real feel" will hit about 31f.

@Victoria that is the one problem with long nails. Mine are probably only about 2/3 the length of yours and I too still land up over the sink with the nail brush in motion after I've been out playing in the gardens when I haven't remembered to put on some latex gloves. I'm starting to use those more and more since the dry hands episode this last winter.

@Upsydaisy I have a couple of annuals left to plant out and have finally figured out where to situation them. I've finally learned to hold back a few so that when all of the perennials finally show their faces, I can see any bald areas that need a plant plonked in.

SRO moments. I usually just dump the bird feeder in the garden directly behind it when refreshing the water. Laziness on my part. This morning I had a "Sudden Realization of the Obvious" moment and instead of filling the watering can to spread the water over the patches where I'm still trying to grow new grass sprinkled the water there. Why did I not think of this before! :doh:Yes, I'll still need to water more throughout the day but at least I'm not dumping water where it really isn't needed.

I go to get my teeth cleaned today. It was scheduled for next week but they have an opening to fill this morning. It gets that little bit of maintenance done early and out of the way! :blue thumb:

                          Cheers :coffee:

Good Morning, Tuesday. 9:31AM overcast today.
Roof blowers just got here to blow the debre off the roof. Went out to discuss no blowing on Annabells etc. doubt they listened or cared. So more work for me with the junk blown off onto the lawn, and bed areas. SMH.
Was listening to the news about the submarine lost , and only 48 hours to find them, just off Nova Scotia in the ocean. How scary for all those aboard. You'd think there would be some beacon abord to locate them.
                            And Tuesday--again, Chess Club meeting.
Well got to go and see the damage being done, and not cry too much. The plite of living in a wooded property. Later.

redstar great video, such a stunning car.

I'm heading out shortly for our girls day out. Thankfully the weather is being kind and holding off for more of our much-needed rain for a little while longer.
Really looking forward to a day of reminiscing and laughter . It's hard to believe we were all hanging out like we're doing today when we were just 12 years old !!
                              Old friends are such treasures.:imphrt:

Just hoping the waters aren't choppy as I really don't have sea legs!!
