    Good day
It is 67f 16c and actually feels a lot warmer because it is so humid and lots of clouds are blocking the sun.

I woke in the middle of the night with weird dreams and a nasty leg cramp and then couldn't get back to sleep for hours so I landed up sleeping in!

I agree @Upsydaisy there are some movies I've seen several times and it seems there is always something pops up that I didn't notice any of the previous times. It's nice about your cleomes. I haven't given up yet!

@Victoria I hope mother nature cools it a bit for you. I love summer but very hot days can really stifle the joy.

I have a bit of shopping to do. I want to replenish my gluten free supplies as I haven't done that yet and I know that this will probably be the last week the garden center at the grocery will be open so plants will be marked down. Hopefully great hunting will be in the cards for me!

    Cheers :coffee:

Another Monday, 10:Am here, 76 already, soggy mess out there. But a good time to be in this one garden bed to pull stuff out.
      Just puttering about doing whatever.

        Things I love about Summer.....

        Eating all our meals outside.

        OIP (6).jpeg

        Good morning everyone.

Finally our weather has cooled and it's soooo much nicer...I feel I can breathe refreshing air and at last I have my energy levels back to do more things. :hapydancsmil:

Hubs enjoyed the film thankfully...but is still not too keen on the cinema experience.
He finds it very loud and yes I suppose it is for him as he is quite deaf and our normal day to day life is peaceful and calm. To be blasted by sound hitting you from every angle must shock your senses and at times it was very noisy as not only was there the music\concerts but also the unrest of the people building up as the French Revolution broke out.
While we were in town we grabbed a few groceries too afterwards.

Today is catch up day out in the garden as there are a few jobs to be done, they have been niggling away at me for the last few weeks but it was just too hot to see to them.

Ist load of laundry is waiting to be hung out so that's the first job of the day nearly done.:blue thumb:

Enjoy your day and more importantly only do things that make you smile.

I will do trees this week! Another hot day here. Yesterday we reached 38c/100f, which is not normal here.

J will probably do a bit of shopping but will take my car as his is playing silly buggars again. It didn't start when he met John on Friday but luckily John had jumper cables. He planned to take it in yesterday but the electrician is of this week so it is booked for Monday.

          Enjoy your day whatever.

            Morning Vicky.:)

Oh what a lovely subject to choose!!You will undoubtedly find a great choice of both quirky and beautiful.

You are very much like me and obviously detest shopping as much as I do.:heehee: Do they do home deliveries over there ? I so loved doing online shopping during the height of the pandemic, mind you we still went out to select and buy all our fresh items...I wouldn't be happy with someone else selecting them.:nonofinger:

Have a lovely day...hopefully I'll get round to emailing you later.....I haven't forgotten you and have been meaning to for the last week but by the time we have done the evening watering rounds it is surprisingly late and I am too tired to type anything that will make any sense!!:heehee:
            xx

              Morning Upsy.

I think a couple of stores may home deliver. Iceland had mentioned it but don't know that they started. Also a company started up a couple of years ago saying they did but haven't heard of them since. I guess it works in towns/cities where you have an actual address. Not sure how it would work in our country location. Friends who know us often pass our lane!

I stopped going shopping years ago as J annoyed me running around the store and dumping things in the cart. I broke my hip in Aldi when we went shopping and I was getting yogurt when I turned for the cart and my handbag flew off my shoulder and launched me to the ground ... and a customer had to go get J ... who was in the checkout! I never made it to the checkout as I went in an ambulance to the ER.

Yes, I have been meaning to write, but .... :imphrt: xx

                Good day
It is totally overcast again and 65f 15c however it feels much warmer. It is supposed to rain again today according to the guessers. Not all the grass seed has germinated so I am all for it!

I never got to the second shop for the last of my gluten free supplies so may do that today. My son has borrowed my van so I am tootling around in my little Mustang. I still haven't got the wiring traced because of the amount of rain we've had but it doesn't affect the mobility to wait for dry weather and it is a lot of fun to drive.

I'll have to remember to get a pic of a tree here in Oakville that the residents raised $200K to divert the road either side of it to save this oak. It is sorta like your picture @Victoria .

I noticed that when I went to the cinema a few years back @Upsydaisy. Not being used to loud noises, I just about jumped out of my skin when there were dramatic background music spikes. And as far as I know, I don't have any hearing issues!

I do have a few chores to do so I'm off.

                Cheers :coffee:

Lori, so you are like J at the mo, tootling around in a convertible (roof up). They really are for the more mature generation! :heehee:

@Upsy We haven't been to the pictures since about 1983/4 ... what does it cost nowadays?

@Victoria I'll never forget a few years ago, I was at a traffic light sat next to a corvette with it's top down too. And I laughed and shouted to the driver who appeared my age, "Hi, Looks like Barbie Menopause meets Mid Life Crisis!". He laughed, I laughed, the light changed and we both went our way. :)

Hi Vicky it varies quite,a bit in some places ours is a fairly new 9 screen complex. The prices range from £4:99 - £7:99.
If you book online like I do then it's £4:99.

Tuesday, 8:42Am, Rained all night. every morning I am hanging the deck cushions over the side to drip dry, and some morning the water just pours out of them. My little Kitty, likes to sleep on one of them, so she hops on the hard surface for her nap.

Going to spend a few minutes in the basement trying to toss stuff out, that husband will not notice. Sometime I look about and think if we were to move somewhere, it would be a mess, too much stuff. Took two more bags of clothes to the donation store on Saturday, more to go. My good friend Marcia (she passed on at 85) would say she did not want to leave stuff for her kids to sort through, get her point.

Again Chess meeting today. Should be fun, seems like there will be more young folks as school is out for the summer. Never had children, rarely interact with them, so its interesting for me, the experience. I do treasure young minds and feel sad if a young mind is exposed to the crazy of this world and/ or dumb parents. Kids develope their understanding of the world through what they preceive is normal , and normal to them is the actions of their family, until later they discover something else and that leads to conflict and stress in relationships. And sadly poor choices.

Besides, yet again, a Car show trip end of July---this time to Lewisburg, KY. also we will be going down to our Airbnb in New Bern, NC. mid August for a week. It will be hot there I am told and buggy, but between some guest reservations. I am trying to be positive as what I will find, one of those detailed people I am, trying to be prepared to take stuff I think might be needed, making long lists. Ordering from Amazon, and some shopping etc. It will be nice seeing the neighbors. We have had a lovely person there since beginning of January, he had a contract with the local military base, they are relocating him elsewhere in August, or he had planned to stay till November. One man in a three bedroom house. And neighbors say he is very quiet and hardly there. My water bill also says the same.
Boy was I wordy today, Have a good one all.

                          Morning @redstar

We long-term let out an apartment and a townhuse for years here. A Dutch couple rented the apartment for years and left a washing machine and a/c. We had a Nurse in the townhouse. They treated the place as their own. We also let out an apartment on a complex for years but the complex took the responsibility of renting and repairs. We sold them all in the past four years because now in our mid 70s we don't want the responsibilities. Rentals paid them all off although we bought them outright in the beginning.

                          Have a good Chess session.

We are also beginning our 70's. Did have two rentals, sold those to buy the airbnb house we currently have, its all set up with a property manager, cleaners, etc. it is 8 hour drive from us. We had to identify the profits from the first two in such a way that the government would not take 40% capital gains, had to buy something out right that was to also be a rental with the money. We still have one more rental, but its long term, a nice lady, she has been there going on 8 years, also takes care of it well. Never any headaches with her. So we just keep it going. Rentals have also paid off all of the above, except for the new one that is, we just charge what is needed to cover expenses, and some for emergency. Not looking to make a wind fall, just sitting on it for an investment. Its also a nice place to go for a bit, right on a river with awesome views.

                              Good morning all.

Apologies Vicky , hectic evening as we had a few phone calls+ video call all of which happened after we came in from the garden at 9pm!! I WILL start my email in a minute then add to it during the day that will guarantee I can sent it by this evening.:fingers crossed:

Lori I don't have any hearing problems either and found the musical scenes were ..loud but fine :blue thumb: However the scenes depicting the beginnings of the French Revolution with it's large gathering of angry protesting crowds even made my ears nearly explode!! The sound systems in modern cinemas are something else!!! What ever happened to Health And Safety Standards ???:noidea:

redstar...why don't you take the cushions off and store overnight...that's what we always do. :blue thumb:

Another quiet day at home just doing a bit of this and that, I might go into our local little town at some point as I'm running low on my hayfever meds.

                              Enjoy your day everyone.
                              :spinning:

Royal Poinciana (Delonix regia) I will name the trees if I know them. :rolleyespink:

Another hot day ahead for us but it may taper off tomorrow somewhat. Just J doing some food shopping, heavy stuff, water, cat food. etc. Nothing else to speak of.

@redstar. Our Capital Gains is 25% unless it is your Main Residence then you can reinvest within two years without penalty ... or purchased before 1989 then none ... we purchased our one apartment in 1988!
