The thing that totally annoys me is when kids come knocking at the door looking to sell stuff to make money for the school football team, or whatever. All I can do is think, I pay school tax, that is enough.

      Things I like about Summer...

      OIP (3).jpeg

Good morning everyone, how are you today?

We had an enjoyable visit with my brother, I had thought that he might've been a tad tired from visitors as my younger sister had been down for a couple of days but he was fine. :dbgrtmb:

Had a fabulous time in Winchester...too long to repeat it here , my post is on Your Day ( apart from gardening) #306.

Not sure whats on our agenda today the weather looks potentially good for the garden but not so good maybe for going out anywhere....... we will see how things go.

      Have a good day.

      :spinning:

I don't know what these beauties are.

It is a lovely fresh start to the day here with 19c and a fresh breeze, but we will be going into the mid 30s later.

Pleased yesterday went well Upsy. Hope Lori's luncheon went as well too.

I fell off the bed again at 6am!!!! Panicked J of course. Just hurt my right knee. I really must stop being a cliff hanger!

The Air Fryer and Brillo are due to arrive today. Be interesting to see if they deliver it to the Post Office or if we get a call to meet a Courier.

J meeting John for their Friday meet up. Nothing planned for the weekend.

              Good day
I totally forgot to come here and say hello! It is 67f 17c, cloudy and hazy (smoke), and extremely humid.

I'm glad you had a good time with your brother @Upsydaisy :)

Are you getting wild dreams that cause you to be so restless when you're asleep @Victoria ? I hope you are able to stop whatever does this as the odds of hurting yourself more seriously go up every time this happens.

Thank you for the good wishes regarding my lunch yesterday. It was a lovely place and the skies were clear and sunny and a gentle breeze kept us quite comfortable as we dined at picnic tables outside of the place. I was a bit tired from the drive last night as we went on narrow roads away from the main arteries. I laughed and called it the long and winding road journey. And of course, the company was super.

I was upset when I got home yesterday as I found bugs on some of my peppers. The one with the most got removed from the greenhouse, hosed off and then all of them have been sprayed with neem oil. I'm going to follow up with a soap with spinosad. I really don't want to lose my whole pepper crop as happened last year!

I've got to get a few things done here so best get going. Have a lovely day.

              Cheers :coffee:

Morning all, Friday, almost 9AM. I hear Canada is burning again, some states are showing the results of it, see on the news. Has not come this far yet. Although I see the pollen count is high, thank goodness I am not affected by pollen in general. But a combination of high pollen and if the smoke gets this far will not be good for some.
Awesome @Upsydaisy you have siblings, wish I did, but I have some awesome cousins, although too far for a quick visit, we do keep in touch often. My husbands siblings are also further away. Except his oldest brother who lives 1/2 year in his house an hour away, and 1/2 stays in Poland with his wife. When his brother is in the states he does come over and visits often. And helps husband with some tasks about the house, and then gets a cooked meal. At one of the car shows, one of my cousins lived an hour from there and she traveled up to spend an afternoon with me, was wonderful. Another cousin and his wife will be meeting us in August at the other car show we will be at in Louiseville, KY. And its hopes on the drive back from that show in a layover at a hotel yet two more cousins will be joining us.
@Victoria , if you are falling out of your bed that often you might consider a soft mat on the floor to cushion your fall. That must be scary.
Sometime I think my husband and I might have ESP together, the other day when I was saying to you all about cleaning stuff out of the basement, he actually started to without nagging. YEAH. Good guy.
Walk about this morning in garden with coffee, found that my plantings across the whole front of the house needs a good clean up, cutting out, organizing, that will take me a good 3 hours or more. I also wish I could find some guy to hard prune up the Kousa dogwoods that line the driveway, too many crossing branches, and some lower ones that should be cut out. But finding someone is always the issue.
Well, off I go. Have a good day all.

                  Hello everyone. :)

Vicky how is your knee today, I hope it's not too sore. Did the airfryer and Brillo pads arrive safe and sound yesterday?

Lori glad you had a good time with your friends but sorry to read that you've found bugs on your peppers.Fingers crossed that you've got to them in time and can save them.:fingers crossed:

redstar I so wish I could persuade my hubs to clear out our attic...we have more stuff up there than we do down here in the actual house!!:yikes:

Had a great but unplanned day out yesterday at the Winchester Hat Fair, the weather could've been better but never mind. If your interested the write up is on the ..Your Day(apart from gardening ) thread.

Not ...definitely...going anywhere today. I have two days worth of deadheading waiting for ne.

I hope you all have a great Saturday.

Haven't got a clue ... maybe from Outer Space.

Morning all. I slept well but don't feel rested. I do fidget Lori, turning frequently. Redstar, the first fallout was legs tangled up with sheet and cats. This one I don't know but I am a cliff hanger and Thankfully I have a bedside rug as I have ceramic tiled floors!
Knee is bruised and sore to touch but otherwise okay to walk.

The Air Fryer was at the Post Office but not the Brillo Pads. I had an e-mail saying they were unable to deliver them! Both being delivered by CTT Espresso. :noidea:

Hopefully we will be a few degrees cooler this week.

                          Good day
It is 67f 17c, hazy, very humid and still.

@Upsydaisy I will go look at the Hat post as I really love hats. I used to wear them all the time and every visit to the states, I'd visit Bloomingdale's to get a new one.

@Victoria I too rotate as though I was on a spit. Particularly before I go to sleep when I am reading my book.

@redstar most of the homes up here do not have flooring in the attics so instead if our cellars aren't finished, we fill them with seasonal stuff and well, just junk. Mine is not finished so it is my giant junk drawer!

I've got my laundry on the go. I made cookie dough yesterday and just now brought it out of the fridge to warm/soften up. Both batches are chocolate chip, one being gluten free. I think I'll also make some raisin scones this morning and as usual, some fresh buns too. I also need to use up some heavy cream I bought so will make the base for some ice cream.

                          Cheers :coffee:

                            Morning Lori.

Lori all the hats will probably be worn today. The real meaning is based on putting money in hats to support and help out artists.

Morning Lori. Yum, raisin scones, save a couple for me please. I love raisin bread toasted smothered with butter. Almost impossible to find here also rye bread which I also love. They have pão de centeio but it is just not the same. I have caraway seed but just don't bake any more.

By the way, the new Air Fryer is great. Just did twice cooked French Fries (frozen), stuffed jalepenos for J, mini rostis, chicken nuggets and part baked rolls.:dbgrtmb: There are a couple of improved features and a slightly smaller footprint.
