I had fries when I was out the other day with the girls and they were excellent. I think you call them "armadillos" as they were crisp and then soft. They laid like lead in my stomach though as they were fried traditionally in a big bat of cholesterol! Still, YUM!!

Morning all, Saturday, NEW Month, July 1. Will be a long weekend for most folks here that are working, or some will be off work, as July 4th is a holiday. I expect lots of noise from fireworks etc. Some of my neighbors do send some beautiful ones up in the air. I have not checked where locally there will be an event with fireworks to go and just watch.

This morning I put on a pair of shorts that I put on a pair of shorts that I have had for 20 years, and they fit still, wow. Gardening about does help the buttocks size. Good for me.

@CanadianLori , awwww, french fries, yummy, not often do I "allow" myself some, but when I do they can be so enjoyable, if done right. Gotten into dipping them in a mixture of half mayo and half ketchup. If I have a serving of them 4X a year that is about it.

STORAGE AND JUNK--we have too many areas around that can house and then forget junk. Our attic is not finished, so just a crawl space, has stuff in it, that needs hauling out also. then the unfinished basement, ----he thinks he will finish it one day. and stuff there needs clearing out. H still has living room furniture from his parents house in the basement covered with sheets that are no use to us, but he will not part with it, he thinks its "basement " type furniture, to me its strickly living room type, and NOT my style in the least. Hate it. And then other junk crazy stuff. Now, there are two unattached garages with stuff, some stuff will be going down to the Airbnb in August, but that really does not make much of a dent in that area. Some car parts that need to be sold, we did sell some, but more to go. Another car that "one day" he will start working on.
Well, just had the washing machine going, and sounds like the aggitator is on its last legs. so we either need a new washing machine or get someone here to fix it, cost factor versus new will be considered of course. Oh, well fun. OK, just told husband---he says buy a new one. We did have it about 34 years. I do recall we got it from a friend of mine just as we moved into this houise, she was combining homes with her new husband. Now to shop for one. Fun.
I think I will keep with the same brand.
      Take care all.
I did clean out that whole bed across the front of the house, looks awesome.

My set are Maytags, the Neptune series, front loader washer. They are 28 years old and run beautifully.

And I have a Drumi for small loads that I dry out on the line in good weather. :)

          What I like about Summer...

          Cool clothing!! Literally!!

          OIP (2).jpeg

          Good morning everyone.

We had a very relaxing day at home yesterday and hopefully will again today too.

Apart from a bit of essential tidying up in the garden I spent the major part of the day tidying ( deleting) the accumulated junk on both of my tablets. ...1000s of photos were dumped ...it's truly frightening the number of pics I take of our flowers....many of which get repeated time after time!! :roflol::roflol:.
The storage on both was almost full and I had planned to either transfer the pics over to our desk top or shift them over onto a SD Card.
I then realised that this was the lazy solution.. ..both needed a good old clear out and chuck out!!

It was very satisfying to see the memory capacity expand as the clutter disappeared ..... just like the feeling you get after doing a good Spring clean on the house!! :heehee:

I'm still not too sure whether it's made any difference on their performance yet.:noidea:.

Hope you all have a very restful Sunday.

          :spinning:

Jacaranda, ,mimosifolia, of which we have two.

Morning all. A normal warm day here and hopefully not too hot.

I have been doing that too Upsy. It is amazing the clutter and unnecessary stuff one finds!!! I still have to do more plus find another theme.

Just a quiet Sunday here as usual.

Enjoy your day whatever you do.

              Morning Vicky.

Yes ,this tablet I'm using now is still a bit laggy so obviously needs me giving it a bit more attention today. The clutter soon creeps up on them that's for sure!!!

I aim for fortnightly themes so I still have a week to ponder on my next one.

Enjoy your quiet day as I will mine too.  :dbgrtmb:xx

                Good day
It is 69f 18c and feels much warmer. The guessers say by Wednesday it will feel like 39c 110f because the humidity is staying up in the 90% range because we will be getting alternating hot sun and rain for several days! The skies are hazy too so I believe it is half smoke half cloud. I'm quite angry with those provinces that get these fires every year and then sit and wring their hands when it happens. They should have measures in place to prevent most of the burning and to stop what lightning starts! Particularly Quebec as they get the lion's share of "equalization" payments from the rest of the country. :mute:

I need to do more to clean out some excess too and should join you three ladies in the big toss out. But I'm not going to. It's too hot and sticky for my liking when it comes to slugging stuff around.

I best get going here as I have a few things to do and this is my Corrie morning.

                Cheers :coffee:

Morning all. Sunday. 72 degrees right now.
Last night a few firework noises about, but all quieted down at about 10PM. Expect more all weekend. We have a few big tent things about the streets, folks selling fireworks. Hope no one is stupid with them, and cares about their animals. Reminds me of a Great Dane I once had, he was so frightened about fireworks I had to get some doggie downers from the Vet for him. So at about 6PM the nights of fireworks, I made sure he'd be out for his business, and then I'd put the downers down his throat. Poor guy, without them he'd try to get right between my legs shaking like mad, 160 dog huddled right under you is not a good thing.

Nothing major planned today. But always something to find to get done. I know there are some pruning to be done, or some cleaning somewhere, closets to clear out. Vacations to organize (car show), Laundromate to get to, one less than a mile from me. Take care all.

                      Things I love about Summer...

...going on walks around our local countryside and enjoying the beautiful wildflowers and spotting the wildlife. OIP (5).jpeg

Good morning, did you all have a good weekend?

I had another lazy ( ish) day yesterday, did a bit of drawer sorting in the morning and a few house chores.
Continued sorting out my Tablets....and I'm now pretty sure it's done the trick and the increase in memory/ storage has improved the speed of both of them and they don't buffer anymore either.:dbgrtmb:
I have made a promise to myself to check over my photos every month and .......delete more often!!

Housework duties, upstairs this morning...takes me most of the morning at this time of year as we have all the windows open..that brings in a surprising amount of leaves, twigs etc !! In the past we've even had birds!!

Hopefully this afternoon I will transfer some of the remaining photos onto a SD card or onto hubs desktop.

I have more laundry to do too but will need to watch over our forecast a bit more closely this coming week as it's looking a tad unpredictable.

Hello there Flumpy good to see you. :)

Vicky I'm loving your Tree theme, very beautiful and informative as well...thank you.

Lori those smoke clouds sound horrendous, I wouldn't like to have to face such issues at all !!

Have fun on the 4th redstar...it's our eldest son's birthday that day too. :)

Well best get a wiggle on or else the day will be over before I've made a start on anything!!

                      Have a lovely day.

It was an uneventful weekend for us.

My computer has been mended now, and I don't get a fuzzy blank screen any more so it's better to look at.
It's also been upgraded to windows 11 (although I don't understand what that means)

Hello Michael so lovely to see you and have another person to 'chat ' with. How are you doing?

Not that I don't like 'chatting ' to Vicky, Lori and red star ........no way did I mean that.:dbgrtmb:

Glad you've got your computer all fixed and upgraded, things should run much more smoothly now. As I mentioned I've been sorting out both of my Tablets ......big difference now !:hapydancsmil: We also have a laptop each and one desk top computer in the study but I just stick with my 2 Tablets they suit my needs perfectly well......I just use the others to 'dump' things on occasionally.:heehee:

Just had a quick coffee break.....so better get on.

Have a nice day pottering in your lovely garden....if your weather allows that is.:fingers crossed: xx
