    Good day
It is 66f 17c and the guessers say it is going up into the 90'sF 30'C. I'm drawing as much cool morning air into the house as is possible before shutting up and turning on the air conditioning. The guessers are predicting rainfall for an hour or so the rest of this week so I don't have to worry about watering the gardens!

It is nice seeing you here @Michael Hewett and @Victoria I believe you must have infinite patience to be doing the bonsai business! I hope it rains for you @Upsydaisy , well, not for you but for your gardens!

I the school bus for one granddaughter for the month of July as she is taking a course each morning at a class that is not on the bus line. The other granddaughter of the same age was going to go to summer school to get ahead on a couple of subject but instead has a summer job at a Tim Horton's to try to earn some money.

I've got a very busy to-do list so I best get going here.

    Cheers :coffee:

      Morning Lori
      Enjoy your warm day.

Yes we've had one dose of rain a couple of hours ago ,it didn't last very long but I'm optimistic in thinking some more might be on the way at some point this afternoon.:fingers crossed:

You have busy time ahead, do you have to do a return pick up as well?

      Enjoy your day.:)

Morning all, Tuesday, JULY 4th. 73degrees, did rain last night.
Went shopping yesterday to the outlet stores in the town to the west of me. Got new sandals from my favorite shoe company, SAS, they last forever, and are so comfy, so at the outlet prices saved $25.00. Found a good blouse to travel in for the next trips to warmer areas.
On the hunt for a cushion for the seat of a white wicker couch we will be taking down to New Bern in August, got the couch for almost nothing at an auction, a little white spray paint and it was good as new, it will match the other white wicker on the screened enclosed porch area also got those at an auction for next to nothing. Shopped also at the Pottery Barn outlet, still even with outlet prices, they are high, so bought nothing.
Going this week to see the new movie out Indiana Jones (something) a nice afternoon movie, with senior discount, then dinner somewhere later. Those seats in that theater are so comfy, feet up etc.
Will do some food shopping today later. And a couple hours in the garden.

If I lived closer I could send you all a bunch of wee babies for the Bonsai folks, my Japanese Maple throws off some, I think I counted 8 of them recently, that I could see, they survive the winters, and they are up, about the height of mid -calf. I guess we could pot them up and sell them, have given them away.

Well have a good day all. 8:33 AM here.

I gave up actual Bonsai-ing seriously years ago but had quite a few ...

I have one left now, a Ficus Gingseng which I have had since 2005 ...

I did have a Bougainville Bonsai but it was grated and two colours came off, now have the purple against the house.

              Things I love about Summer.....

              ....walks along the beach. R.jpg

Good morning everyone and a jolly good one it is too, well apart from the fact that I can't sleep so I decided to get up at 3am...I didn't go to bed until 12:30, but even then I knew I wasn't tired enough.
Our garden is just loving the aftermath of yesterday's long overdue rain. :yay:Today's weather is looking good with a slim chance of a shower late afternoon.

We were visiting my sister yesterday when the heavens opened......her guttering just couldn't cope with the amount of rain and it was overflowing !! She has skylight windows in her kitchen and the pounding of the rain was terrific!

We spent the afternoon trying to spot our younger sister who was watching the tennis on Court 1 at Wimbledon......we even messaged her to find out what area she was sitting in and what colour top she was wearing.....despite stopping and freezing the images on the tv screen we still didn't spot her....but it was a giggle trying!!!:heehee:

Might pop into our little town centre for a few bits of grocery at some point today...if not hubs said he would do it tomorrow when I'm at the cinema. Can I be that mean...hmmmm...

              Have a super day everyone.

              :spinning:

Sorry not to have replied earlier but I went to make a herbal tea and to put the washing machine on , I then settled down on the sofa for a mammoth Suduko session!!!
It soon became daylight .....and so began another day.

                  Now feel like a zombie!!:heehee:

I have three, one a foot tall but I don't know what colour it will be and two babes I have done from seed and are in my little Nursery.

Morning Upsy and Michael. What early birds you are! I have been awake since 5.55am when the neighbour left for work and his gates clanged! I did doze a bit after listening to the birds.

So pleased you had a good dose of rain Upsy.

Nothing planned here that I know of.

                    Have a good one everyone.

                      Morning Vicky

                      Another pretty one!:)

Early bird maybe but not from choice....I've had no sleep since 6am yesterday morning ( our radio alarm comes on then) feel a tad lightheaded but still not tired as such, it will probably hit me later....wham!!

We're usually awake just before 6 ourselves....strange isn't it that you find you wake up in anticipation of your alarm going off !!!! Always it seems.:roflol:

Lovely sunny morning here, just off for a deadheading session.
The garden smelled lovely and fresh earlier when I hung out the laundry.

                      Take it easy xx

                            Good day
It is 69f 18c and humid. The guessers say we are going up to 93f 32c and I have to wait until this afternoon for the air conditioning repair people to come. My system crashed at 6 last night. I believe it overheated because I found a partly melted gasket by the fan. It was tempting to take it apart but I'll leave that to the pros. The weather guessers also say the "real feel" will be up in the 40's .

Yes, @Upsydaisy I go to pick up my granddaughter too. I got her there 15 minutes early yesterday, on her first day so she could find her way about and today I don't need to leave to get her until 8:40 as now she has her bearings. This is for M-F until the 28th. After I drop her off, I will loop back and follow my son as he drives his wife's vehicle to the garage for some repairs and then bring him home. He works night shift so he'll be pretty tired.

I'm still fighting the infestation on my peppers and they are all sitting out on my garden table. I've coated them with neem oil. Then the next round was spinosad. Now I'm going to rinse them down every few hours to flush any hangers on.

                            Have a super day all.
                            Cheers :coffee:

Morning Lori. Wow, your weather does fluctuate. It seems like yesterday you were shoveling snow, then recently you were snorkelling around your property ... now you will be melting more than me! Take care please. Hope your a/c man arrives soon.
