Lots of jokes and tricks all over the place today especially in local interest FB groups. Some were just plain funny and others scathing but funny commentaries on local politics.

I hope everyone’s had a restful night. It’s a lovely morning here in Norfolk… blue sky and pink fluffy clouds … so far … they say there’s rain on the way tho …

 

A very good morning to you all. I thought it was November when I looked out this morning - its very misty out there. The usual hope is that I can get into the garden today.

 

Well I enjoyed the quizzes on TV last night and was pleased to be able to avoid the Only Connect episode as it was a repeat first shown in December 2022. Its so disappointing that the 'repeat' syndrome is now percolating into the major quizzes on the Beeb.

I'm hopeless at Only Connect, prefer Uni Challenge.

I'm taking the car to be serviced today. They are lending me a car.

@Ladybird4 I've only planted 5 clematis in my French garden but I've planted 11 in OH's garden in Norfolk. There is more room in my French garden for roses.

 

I love Only Connect although a fair amount of it foxes me … I often get a bit of the connection but can’t quite solve it … Im best at the Walls.
Thought there was a problem in Mastermind last night when the chap gave the answer as Richard Osman and CM said ‘No, Richard Osman’. We replayed it a few times and even put the subtitles on and thought the answer the chap gave was correct.

 

@Dovefromabove, I agree with you about the Richard Osman answer. I thought the gentleman had answered correctly.

Apart from the weekly supermarket shop I will be having a lazy day.
I do find the holiday weekends tiring with travelling and entertaining.
@Dovefromabove @Ladybird4 i hope that Mastermind contestant didn’t lose based on that lost point!! Very annoying for them!!

@Brenda, I don't think it would have made any difference to the final result but I think it would have been nice if any mistake was acknowledged. The lady who won was superb.

 

I went for a sloshy, muddy walk with the dog.
Warned a young family not to let anyone from the cricket club catch them playing football on the hallowed ground of the wicket area, fenced off with plastic netting. They said they thought it was a safe area for toddlers to play on.
I finally made a start on clearing the greenhouse, managed to get the 10 pots and trays out and emptied. My back was screaming so had to leave the rest of the clearing for another day.
I started a new compost heap with the used compost.
I am going to dig a pit for the runner beans, fill it with kitchen waste and plant the beans around the edge. I have tried this before, it definitely helps keep them moist at the roots.
