Turned out quite nice, so I pruned the Hydrangeas and OH mowed the lawns, although they are still rather boggy.

 

Just been reading back a few pages as we have been busy decorating over the weekend, in particular putting lining paper on a ceiling!

We have an electrician coming tomorrow afternoon so i shall make myself scarse in the garden!

 

We didn't stop the birds getting them, @Obelix-Vendée
They are as much as they wanted, but the remaining crop was always more than we could manage. I've never known a single tree produce so much fruit.

@Ergates and @Ladybird4, thank you for the advice re water meters. I will need to discuss it with my OH, of course. But if it will save us money, it'll be worth it.

There was a lot of sunshine after all today and no rain. I got some of my compost shovelled out, sieved and put in a trug for later when I need it. I can't tell you how thrilling it is to make such rich looking compost, at very little effort.

Our water company (Wessex) told us when we enquired about water meters that we could revert back to the old system if a meter didn't save us money - I think it had to be within a certain matter of months. This was quite some time ago though but worth finding out whether it still applies. It was much cheaper for us.

Sorry I should also have added, nice to see you again @RowlandsCastle. Hope the recent surgery is benefitting you.

Just been sat in the garden with a cup of coffee [ was tempted to make it wine] and the birds were really going for it, Spring is sprunging!
