We have been in New Bern, NC since Sunday night. All good. Just busy doing some tasks on the airbnb. We finally got our 10th review. Was a lovely one. Actually there are 2 folks still outstanding. So here is the link to read the 10th review. Pat me on the back, I am the one that supplies the kitchen, you'll see when you read the last review. Many thanks @MrsB, @Ergates and @AuntyRach.

My daughter and I decided to go into town today for a wander around. It's her home town but changes every time she visits, lots of more and more student blocks going up, empty shops and loads more coffee shops/cafes in the centre. Anyway, it did me good to get out of the house and I bought a lipstick and foundation cream which cheered me up.

The same here Lizzie27 - Norwich is a lovely city but more and more closed shops with so many coffee shops opening up now. I agree it's so good to get out and about and a bit of retail never hurts! We met family for a pub lunch then I had an appointment that lasted 2 and a half hours so he sat outside in the car and had a sleep

                  Good morning all :coffee1:
The dawn chorus is really in full swing.
It’s a good job I go to bed early.

This morning it’s dryish and 10c. That’s quite a bit milder than of late. Apparently we can expect showers this afternoon. That’s April I suppose …

                      Good morning everyone.

I hope that you all had a pleasant family Easter weekend and that the weather was clement. It was terrible here - but on Monday the sun popped out from behind a cloud and decided to stay. So, we went to the Maritime Festival in Sete. It was heaving as you can imagine but well organised with shuttle buses from various car parks. 300 000 visitors over the week that the clippers were there apparently 100 000 less than the previous year. Probably due to the weather.

I have attached some clips. I hope you enjoy them. Wonderful ships and Monday being the final day, some of them left port and fired up full sail around 3.30pm. Amazing to see them at sea.

Back to nice weather now so sweeping and weeding are the order of the day!! (Maybe a few windows as they are in a state after the rain we had!!)

May your day be peaceful and happy!!

@Tui34, what lovely pictures - thank you for sharing them with us. Was that an artist painting at the Festival?

Great photos @Tui34 … beautiful ships. It’s a very long time since we were in that part of the world .. a long hot summer when Wonky and her brother were young teens. She says Hi to all friends here … she’s well; very busy with her new job and all her own customers … but enjoying it
… and it’s her birthday tomorrow.

Good morning all. Just read back and it was quite a mammoth task!
Condolences to @lizzie27 on your very sad news. Hope happy memories can ease your pain a little.
Busy Easter for me with family visits etc but I managed to do more in my garden and enjoy some sunshine at least.
Back to work today but it’s raining again after a grey start to the day so I don’t mind too much. I imagine work will be manic after the bank holiday as we were actually closed for two extra days . The horror!

                              Good morning all.
Torrential rain in the night but fortunately it stopped when I got up. It's 8c and feels chilly with more rain to come this afternoon.
The Dawn Chorus was very loud here too. I filled the feeders and will nip into town soon to shop for fruit and veg.
Wish Wonky Happy Birthday for tomorrow- I hope she can get some time off.
