Morning all. We’ve woken to strong wind gusts and heavy rain. There is no in-between, it seems. It goes from no rain to storms in one night. There are lots of evacuation warnings being put on the weather channel around south eastern NSW.

    we seem obsessed with weather.

I’ve just been out to check the rain gauge. 32ml overnight. Now I’m very cold from going out there. Der! The idea of snuggling down on the lounge chair sounds tempting.

Good morning @PatE. I know you are right - we are obsessed by the weather - wherever we are. I'm hoping to get into my garden today and only time will tell.
I had a great meal out with my friends yesterday and isn't it amazing how time flies as before we knew it we had been there hours. The restaurant has its own micro brewery and the men amongst us - who weren't the drivers - enjoyed their products to the full.

Both Beechgrove and GW were joyous last night AuntyRach. I'll say no more - no spoilers. I will be watching them again to catch up on things I may have missed first time around.

              Good morning all :coffee1:
It’s already 14C … it didn’t drop below 10 all night. Apparently it’s going to be a good drying day … I’ll put some towels in the wash before I get going on the veg patch …

@PatE our news broadcasts said there were bad floods in NSW!

                Good morning everyone!

Looks to be a bright and breezy day today. I've just got to sort out the garden one way or another, it's looking like a dump. Tried to tidy it up yesterday but the battle with the wind was too much.

I do worry about the very large eucalyptus tree at the bottom of next door's garden, it's just over the boundary into the garden at the back. For some reason the people who's tree it belongs to had a tree surgeon a couple of years ago to reduce it's size, but the branches was only cut on their side, so the tree is unbalanced and is now heavier on my neighbours side. I do fear it might be blown down. Doubt it's big enough to do any damage to my property if it does blow down, so I think, I'll keep my nose out. I love the tree though, it pleasantly rustles when the wind blows through it.

Have a lovely Saturday, I do hope everyone can catch some of the sun's rays today.

@Jenny_Aster I can really empathise with you as I have been waiting for a decent spell of dry weather to get into my garden to do some serious tidying up. It ain't happened yet! The wind is definitely blowing a hooley here this morning so I'm expecting to see some pots cartwheeling round in the garden.

                    Morning all.

Having coffee in bed. No need to be up and dressed for repair men or delivery men this morning.

It will be a warm day, though it's quite windy at the moment. 26C is forecast!

I will carry on with weeding. Yesterday I planted the shade plants that were delivered a while ago. I hadn't finished making the bed so I just re-potted them.

Must also get some washing into the machine. Need to get the duvet cover on the line.

Good morning @Busy-Lizzie. It must be nice to know that the electronic gate is all sorted out now. Could be a good drying day! :)

                        Good morning all.
A much nicer start to the day with glorious sunshine.
Quite a strong wind but, being positive for a change, that will dry the ground quicker.
I might then be able to do some proper gardening!
For now I will deadhead the hyacinths and daffodils that are in tubs on the patio.
                        Enjoy your day.

                          Good morning all.
I didn't manage to get here yesterday as we were busy shopping- two supermarkets and two pet shops all within a range of 15 miles or so. I cooked fish and chips for tea and by 8pm I was almost asleep.
Today I'm 'chillin' as they say... a bit of washing and cleaning, then the day is mine.
                          Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone, it is overcast here with Sahara dust and temps heading towards the high 20's later! Harriet Hare is in the garden morning and evenings ( I don't actually know whether it is a female) can you tell the difference? She doesn't appear to do any damage, just eat the grass!.
OH was weeding yesterday and when he came in I knew exactly where he had been, there is only one Salvia in our garden that has the most pungent smell and that is S Nachtvlinder, and I was right!
Our ride on mower is still at the repair shop, it's been there for ages, luckily we have lovely neighbours who are helping us out.
Take it easy and i will catch up later.
