Yawn Yawn Wakey Wakey 2024

It didn't rain. I cut around some border edges with the long handled edging shears and I painted the inside of a kitchen cupboard. The cupboards were handmade by the previous owner and a friend, painted oak shaker style doors, but the shelves inside are whatever came to hand at the time, wood, ply, melamine, and a horrid damp absorbing composite. All unpainted so not easy to wipe. I'm gradually getting round to painting them all, not there yet.

Handyman, CB, came and strimmed the grass verge. Passing people had chucked rubbish in the ditch.

 

Afternoon all. I finally caught a free time to say hello. It was another sunny and hot day, again 30℃. The weather will change tomorrow afternoon, and it will be quite big difference. Forecast mentioned snow in the hills once more.

 

Hello @Ante1 we had hailstorms here, as others have mentioned already, so they must have been fairly well spread throughout the country. I was supposed to be going out with my squash team today for lunch but I have been feeling full of cold with a cough so rather than spread my germs everywhere I withdrew. I have stayed in and kept warm all day. Trouble is that when I am trapped indoors I get pulled towards plant researching on t'internet which inevitably ends in a purchase. I did buy a packet of Viola cornuta Alba seeds.

 

@Ladybird4 sorry to hear about hailstorm. Hope it didn't cause any damage.

 

@Ante1, I will check tomorrow. I did have to go and rescue one bin though as the wind had blown its lid open and the last thing I wanted was a bin full of water!

 

Goodness me, what strange weather everyone's been having. We got back from our weekend trip to Bournemouth to see son, DIL and the grandchildren, plus various others. Enjoyed two beautiful walks both days in the late afternoon along the beach in nice sunny weather. There were lots of dogs, particularly a lot of dachshunds, enjoying the beach and water.

However, the temperatures plunged overnight and we awoke to heavy rain, although thankfully that had eased off by the time I drove home. There were some heavy gusts over exposed ground which was a bit hairy and the car got hit several times with debris. Glad to be back but very tired now. Garden appears to be okay,

Hello, I’m not sure where I’m up to on the site , but it’s a sunny day here and Hubby is shovelling gravel into a washed out part of the gravel driveway, so hopefully it’ll hold fast when we next get a down pour (if ever).

Morning all. It's very windy and noisy here on the north Kent coast. Certainly something is bumping up and down in the loft, above me. How about those in Norfolk, or Scotland?
