@PatE, I bet it is nice and snuggly having the log burner on.

      Good morning all.

Dozy but cosy sounds good @PatE.

Keep up the good work with the honey and lemon duties @RowlandsCastle.

You’ve reminded me to buy more compost @shiney - I will mix with my home-made for general planting.

Let us know what you buy @Brenda - are you after anything in particular?

You are indeed busy @Busy-Lizzie - enjoy planting out your veg.

Safe trip @Dovefromabove - and make sure you leave room in the boot for any purchases!

@Jenny_Aster that’s a bit annoying when you are all geared-up for an appointment, but you can have a few extra days ‘off’ now.

That’s impressive growing Acers from seed @Ladybird4 - mine are my favourite plant in the garden.

      Have a good day everyone.

      :sunflower:

@AuntyRach I’m hoping to buy some Foxgloves as there’s no sign of any returning or self seeding in my garden this year.
I would also like to buy a new Acer in a light green colour.
          That’s the dream!
@Dovefromabove enjoy your few days away

Great choices @Brenda. I grew foxgloves from seeds in Autumn ‘22 so they will be flowering this year - I planted them out last Autumn. Not sure if last year’s have self-seeded - no signs yet. I have more success sowing myself.

I bought (and planted) foxgloves almost two weeks ago.
I've put in Digitalis Purpurea Virtuoso Lavender, and Digitalis Mertonensis Summer King. I'm hoping they will self seed and provide more plants.
              My wife's choice of colour!!
They are getting well watered right now.

                Hello everybody,
I've hopefully got what I hope are self seeded foxgloves in my front borders but the clumps are huge! There is a slight possibility that I've got escapees from a Russian Sage I had a couple of years ago, looks very similar so I'll have to wait till its flowered.

I've just had the quickest visit to A&E in probably 50 years! 15 mins, which included seeing 3 people. My hearing aid end grommet was missing this morning and despite searching we couldn't find it so I was slightly worried that it might still be in my ear. Didn't want a possible ear infection whilst we are away so needed it checked out. Tried the pharmacy, the Audiology dept at the hospital and my GP's surgery but all told me to go to A&E. Really, really didn't want to go and waste their time but they were brilliant and gave me the all-clear. Did a lot of walking this morning between those three places so quite tired now.

A cancelled appointment is a nuisance @Jenny_Aster, but hopefully your husband will get over his sore throat before the next one. Best wishes anyway.

@PatE, snuggly wood burner sounds good but hopefully you've also got good ventilation in the room, it shouldn't be making you dozy?

                Greetings @Brenda and @Butterfly6.

Hope the gutters get sorted @Busy-Lizzie. They have a huge GC at Trentham Gardens near Stoke which I'm hoping to be let loose in next week!

Got back home at 7PM last night. So glad to be home. Missed my bed. Garden exploded. Unpacking and putting away stuff. Going on errands soon. Post office for our pile of mail, some food shopping etc. Amish eggs stop. Tomorrow to a baby shower at 11AM, guess she's serving lunch. Have to get the card and wrapping paper still and a pack of diapers, requested for some raffle thing. Going to use one of those gift bags, and pink tissue. Later.

We found a key box attached to the side wall of the bungalow, but have no idea what the number is. Neither does the previous owner, which doesn't help. Friends suggested removing it and replacing it with a new one. Great idea, but the holding screws are inside, so I need to open it first.

It has four digits, so there are 10,000 possible options. Of course, it's possible that it is jammed, so even if I go through the entire number of possibilities, I may end up having to use brute force.

                            Any ideas from the forum?

Hello all, I can't keep up with the posts either! It's a beautiful day here for a change. I went for a haircut this morning and feel quite lightheaded now! we've jut got back from paying for our ride on mower to be repaired, not cheap but not as expensive as buying a new one. They were able to use spare parts from other old machines that fitted ours and they will deliver it to us next week. Maybe it will last another twenty years :heehee:

Afternoon all - a sunny, very breezy day with a few sharp showers. Had a trip to our local nursery again and bought a couple of erysimums and a teeny tiny (but only £1.20) hardy fuchsia (a just-rooted cutting by the looks of it). Need to grow it on quite a bit before hardening off. Absolutely tipped it down while I was in the glasshouses - very noisy! Then a SM trip for the weekend shop.

When I got home I took some cuttings from the erysimums (not really the right time but they were a bit straggly and needed tidying up) and I'm trying half in water and half by the conventional method. Suspect the water way might work better at this time of year.
Also sowed nicotiana sylvestris and coriander calypso.
Just done some business bookwork and prepped everything for dinner (trout fillets with salads) so now it's time for a cuppa and relax.
