Thank you, and others, for replies and suggestions. If the previous owner didn't use it, then our chance of getting the code through educated guesses, is slim. The previous owner did not leave any indication of the code - and she went above and beyond what I considered helpful. Not leaving a known piece of information such as a code, would be out of character. She even visited last week, and has been so good to us.

I will try her year of birth, and other notable dates. I can visualise days of working my way through the numbers logically and methodically.

 

Boy did I miss my bed.

 

Yep, slept like a baby. Of course day be for I left changed it all, so all was freshly ready for my return.

@RowlandsCastle, looks like you're going to have to resort to the technical option, I admire you for investigating all avenues to fix the problem, I'd have taken the technical option at the start and reached for the lump hammer. For my tuppence worth, have you looked on YouTube for suggestions. When we couldn't remember how to get into my husbands briefcase which has a combination lock, YouTube showed us how and it was astonishingly easy.

Bright sunny morning here in my little corner, just been out to erect the rotary washing line in readiness for the sheets presently tumbling in the washer, I can report, it's really 'brass monkeys' out.

Good morning all. It's finally weekend. Outside is cloudy and fresh, but much better than last few days. Sweet potatoes seedling arrived yesterday, and I must plant them ASAP. Hope I'll do that today when I go to cottage.

Back to normal after a dog sitting week! A couple of holes - nothing major and a very happy doggie when the teenage daughter came to pick him up last night!

We are experiencing cold nights here - not as cold as your weather in Blighty but the garden is sort of on hold. Sunny days but you still need a jacket.

I have read back on the posts and I hope you are all enjoying the spring. I have some digging of my own to finish and need to attack some serious weeds in a bed before they go to seed. I also cleaned out the "wood" garage - a job that has been pending for probably the last 3 years!! The remaining wood needed sorting and lots of bark and debris on the concrete floor. So feeling rather good that I completed that task.

Sunny and bright today so today's expression says:
A Saint Théodore, Fleurit chaque bouton d'or!!

Morning all.
It's sunny outside. I shall do some more gardening today. Yesterday afternoon was spent in the vegetable garden, I put it on the vegetable thread.

I hope @Dovefromabove enjoys her break and slept well in the cosy cottage.

Looks like it will be a dry weekend and less windy.
This morning I will try to dig some of the beds in preparation of any plants I may buy this afternoon at the garden centre.
