I would be mega impressed @RowlandsCastle but yes, I would definitely think you were batty.
First thing I did this morning when it was still chilly was to stir up my two compost bins. There were a lot of those big leopard slugs in the bins - doing their job though.
For the first time in I don't know how long I have been able to have a proper stint in the garden. Did a lot of pulling up of celandines - I know they will disappear come summer but they are hiding all my planting spaces. I have managed to plant out my 4 oriental poppies into their final places.
Cricket laid on the garden table in the sun, watching me working.

I’ve had a good garden pottering day. My sister and niece called in and brought me a division of ‘snow in summer’ and a key ring with “queen of the garden” on.

 

What a lovely surprise @AuntyRach - or should that be Your Majesty? Snow in Summer is such a pretty plant with its silvery leaves making a perfect foil to some of the more vibrant flower colours.

 

Hello all. Lovely walk in the local woods with my sister this morning, bluebells and wild garlic everywhere and so peaceful, a little chilly but good to see the sun and blue skies.
Spent the whole afternoon in the garden got lots done. Fiancé made pesto from wild garlic harvested a few weeks ago… delicious!

 

@Debs64, you have had a lovely day today. Does your fiancé use pine nuts as well in his pesto? The wild garlic in my garden is just beginning to make a good show. I might have a go at making pesto too.

He used vegan Parmesan and some chopped nuts he dry roasted first. Tastes really nice, I know pine nuts are a bit pricey.

 

Sounds moreish @Debs64. I'm into cashew nuts mixed with sultanas if I feel like a little snack.

It's been a really glorious day today, wall to wall sunshine with blue skies - we couldn't believe it. temps up to 16.9c by late afternoon. Not a gardening day though, which was a pity. We drove about an hour away to meet our car club friends for a pub lunch it was good to catch up on all the gossip, the men sit one end talking about cars and the ladies sit the other end talking about ailments, children, grandchildren and gardening!

I did water all the pots when I got back though, it always surprises me how quickly they dry out after a day or so without rain. I need to keep the seven roses in pots well watered now they are in full growth.

Sunny and cool here. I must say Liri, that I think of you when I look over to the north of the garden, the Tulip tree has one bright yellow leaf standing out. Seems a long to pine since we used to chat.

 

Hubby made Lemon Drizzle cake today. Yum! We didn’t bother to have lunch after enjoying the cake.

@lizzie27, cashew nuts are my favourite snack to munch through the day. I love them sprinkled on top of my curries too.

Good morning @Ante1. Did you manage to get your sweet potato seedlings planted out yesterday? I did enjoy my sunny afternoon but want it to last now until October!

 

@Ladybird4, I planted all sweet potatoes, and found out that my neighbor prepared one of my field for planting potatoes. So it was not in plan, but I also started with them.
