    Good Morning Mouse.jpeg

Another calm and sunny day ahead of us.

My second wobble cushion should arrive today and other than balancing (or attempting to) on the two I have nothing special planned.

Enjoy your day whatever you are up to.

Monday. Morning all. 28degrees here. 7:45AM.
Dry day today --or no rain. Will try more leaf removal later. Some pruning etc.
Still attacking paperwork for taxes, some needed stuff arrived in the mail .

While food shopping on Saturday, bumped into a couple from the chess club, nice to see them, good little chatting.

Discovered a new bakery two streets over, they owner renovated his house. and sells items on Friday and Saturdays, really some good things, although I don't need any of it. Glad they are different items than what the Amish sell. He's Italian and Greek, so he combines those cultures in his products. Yummy.
      Have a grand day all.

        Good day
It late for me to arrive here as I decided to work a little before play. It is up to 36f 2c and cloudy but the guessers promise that the sun will vapourize those clouds by the afternoon. My batteries are going to be very very happy!

That's a long flight your son is taking @Upsydaisy! The longest I've been on a flight is 7 hours and I was so glad when we flew into sunrise because I could look out my surroundings. I find flying at night is a little, well, boring. Even looking at the tops of bright clouds is better.

Oh please assure me you'll have something nearby to grab onto @Victoria. I'll be worried about you if you don't!

I've doing a little housekeeping to make up for yesterday's playtime with making my lemon/lime marmalade. I have to brag. It is really very good

Em is back to school this morning starting her second semester. She was quite excited to get started because this year she'll be studying music. I can hardly wait to see what instrument she is assigned. I hope it is a clarinet. I always wanted to play clarinet... :rolleyespink:

I've been doing a little bit of goofing with soil this morning but I'll post that on another thread.

        Cheers all :coffee:

Hi Lori.... Yes it is a long flight roughly about 10 hrs to Lisbon then a couple of hours stop over and arriving between 10 - 10:30 pm tonight at Heathrow. He doesn't mind...watches a film or two and then sleeps...he can fall asleep anywhere fortunately.:snooze:

            Good morning :)

Well all good things must come to an end ,our eldest baby is heading back home this morning .. Son the younger messaged at 10:30 pm to say he had landed safe and sound and was just heading on home from the airport..just hope the train strikes didn't cause him any problems.:fingers crossed:

I'm off to cheer myself up by meeting up with an old school friend for a catch up over a pub lunch.

That about sums up my day ahead, wishing you all a lovely day.

Morning all. Today is starting off overcast again but forecasts a sunny afternoon yesterday..

Pleased to hear Youngest got home safely and trust eldest will have no trouble with the trains.

              Any results on exams Lori?

I had a "slow" day yesterday as I had not slept well, but slept like a log last night so this morning will start my balancing act!!! Lori, we have a wrought iron bed so will do my exercises at the foot on the rug so have the footboard as support. I will report back later.

              Enjoy your luncheon Upsy.

A good day wish to all.

                Good day
It is 26f -3c and cloudy but like you @Victoria some sunshine is forecast for later.

Sounds like a fun lunch @Upsydaisy :blue thumb:

Thank you for using you footboard to keep you stable. Now I can :phew:

I don't know when I'll get the results of the exam. It was several hours long and there were about 20 other people (all farmers) there so the uni would have had a lot of marking to do. I am anxious to know how I did too. I hope I didn't perform like a numpty.

I go to my wine place today and have some shopping to do on the way there. I found a salt and pepper grinder set on clearance and will be picking it up too. I have a pepper grinder on the table but it is about 12 inches tall and always seems to be in your line of sight. Something like the pole for a sun umbrella in a patio table. I ended up buying offset brollies for outside to get rid of that skinny but "in your face" obstacle. The tall grinder will go back to being on duty the cooktop. ;)

                Cheers :coffee:

                  Tuesday, 9:49 Am.
Coffee maker died, got the kettle going and poured hot water through the basket/grounds. SMH
Guess I make a trip later today to Walmart for a new coffee machine. Crazy . Not sure I will get to the Chess Club meeting. Out doors calls my name stronger.
Will be removing leaves some more today, drying out nicely.
Been using Facebook Market place to sell stuff, got to get rid of things we just do not need. More to post.
                  Have a good day all.

Very damp here after a night of heavy rain. I'm optimistically hoping that we will have a dry gap in the day as I've done a machine load of laundry that is waiting to be hung out. :fingers crossed::fingers crossed::fingers crossed: I have a 2nd load waiting to be done but won't chance it today.

Had a panic message from eldest that he has left some of his computer leads here up in his room so will need to pop down to the post office and get them off to him.

Had a great meet up with my friend and had a big bowl of freshly made curried parsnip soup ....really lovely.

I hope your weather is a bit more settled that ours is today, very hard to plan anything at the moment.

My Lobellia seeds have now germinated so they will now also be making daily outings out to the greenhouse. As everything has now successfully sprung to life I may move on to sow a couple more trays, I've decided to just sow a couple of trays at a time so as not to get overwhelmed this year ( as I always do) with so many trays requiring a steady flow of heat that I end up having to keep shuffling them around all day long..now I do only a couple at a time and wait until they have germinated before doing the next lot.....that's the theory anyway, the practice could end up being a totally different matter! :heehee:

Whatever you're up to today, enjoy!

Morning all. Another fine day ahead of us before our supposed rain arrives tomorrow. We will believe it when we see it though.

J has Dentist this afternoon to adjust his plate and discuss an implant for the missing upper incisor ... so it's not over yet. I plan on having J bring my new Propagator to the front so I can fill it with things on the coffee table out front and my baby Adeniums currently in The Baffa.

I did my balancing Act yesterday clinging on to the footrail. At least you don't have to do it for long, minutes each movement. Today is static cycle then tomorrow balance. So now my routine will be M-W-F = cycle and the rest of the week balance, these activities as soon as I get up at 9am.

                      Enjoy your day. xx

                        Wednesday. 9AM, 30 degrees here.
Attaching some of the taxes paperwork some more yesterday. And leaf removal from beds, leaves still wet in some areas, but this week no rain forecasted. Have to get to the food store also.
So enjoying some of the "Food Porn" I see on my facebook, some really good veggie combinations shown. Have to make a few.
Nice @Upsydaisy about those seeds popping.
Well off to do something. We all have that something.

                          Good day
It is now up to 28f -2c and the sun is trying to battle through the clouds.

I had some early appointments keeping me busy first thing. My teeth are all shined up and I'm all set for another 3 months. :)

Yes, @Upsydaisy, I too am trying to pace myself. I've really only just started and already I've got lots of surfaces covered with pots or trays. It's so exciting to see the seeds germinate. And because @CarolineL sent me more cleome seeds, I shall be trying and trying those again. A test of who is the most stubborn :paladin:

@Victoria it sounds like you have lots of self-control to keep to a regimented exercise routine. I hope all your hard work improves your mobility. :fingers crossed:

I've got more undergarments cut out and ready to sew and I'll do them today and then pack up the pattern and fabrics for whenever I need some more.

I finally figured out what would work best for some hanging pots for my friend only to discover that I had none of those seeds left so, I ordered more. And as we all know, so as not to waste postage, we always order more than the one packet :rolleyespink:

                          Cheers :coffee:

Good morning from the very soggy south coast.

Had a very productive ,albeit damp ,day yesterday in the garden. Gradually working my way round it but at the moment some areas are still out of bound due to being waterlogged....so it's proving a very slow job indeed.

We're currently under a 30hr weather warning for heavy rain so we haven't yet decided whether we're venturing out this morning to visit my brother, we might leave it until tomorrow.

No other plans so we'll see how the day plays out.

                            Enjoy your day.

Morning all. We are still waiting for rain. Central and the North are getting i heavily, but Algarve is being missed out as usual.

J's dental appointment was to discuss his 4-tooth upper bridge to cover a two-tooth gap in the front.

J visiting John this morning at his farm. I have been invited but have no desire to sit around listening to guitar talk. He has no garden. it is just 68 acres of land. I shall do balancing first and do some crochet.

Lori. I am a dedicated person in whatever I do and have to be with exercise ... heaven forbid what state I would be in if I didn't persist!!!

                                Good day
It is 30f -1c and it is really weird looking out there. A thick fog is tinted pink. I'm assuming it is the rising sun that makes it that colour. It looks like I'm in the middle of pink candy floss. Almost horror movie weird. :hate-shocked:

Wow, that's a really wet winter you're have @Upsydaisy. I'm surprised your perennials have not all drowned

@Victoria that boggles the mind. How can someone have so much land and do nothing with it!

I'm going to get out my embroidery machine and put initials of Em's friends on some red felt squares. She can then make felt sandwiches (red, white, red) by sewing the layers together using a heart shape tracing as guidance. Then trim with leaving about 1/2" seam allowance outside the stitching and then clip a fringe into the seam allowance. They'll make cute "mug rugs" for her friends for Valentine's.

I'm also meeting my sewing friend for brekkie later. She asked if I could bring along one of the undergarments I made so she can see how it's done. A thinly disguised way of her getting to check my sewing skills because she won't be making any, in spite of video "advice". ;)

                                Cheers :coffee:
