That looks like quite a party @redstar! Beautiful decorations. I don't think there are baby showers in France. People give presents after the baby is born when they visit.

It's grey outside and it has rained.

The freezer badly needs defrosting so maybe I'll do that today.

This evening we are going to a Gala Dinner, in aid of the charities that are supported by Open Gardens EU, which is the equivalent of the NGS here. It's not far away and there will be some people I know from the gardening club there.

Morning all - sunny with a light frost here. Think a SM trip to get that job out of the way and then I really should finish the business accounts. If it warms up later (not forecast to) I might venture outside.

Thanks for sharing your pics @redstar - a lot of time and effort went into that party. Suspect my nieces' baby showers were just some sandwiches, sausage rolls and the obligatory pink and blue cupcakes.

@Anna42 - sorry to hear things are difficult for you. Hope the antics of your feathered friends keep you amused - they're very busy just now.

Hi all

Surprise surprise, it is bloody freezing, I have been spreading leafmould on the woodland borders and I can't feel my hands anymore.

 

Good morning all, we have some sun but I do wish it would warm up! As @Tui34 says we are in for a wet weekend and then unsettled for two weeks and not warm.
Went for my eye test yesterday and my cataracts are worse so I shall be having those done soon.
This afternoon I have to go for another hearing test, this time I'm seeing a chap in Luchon in the mountains, better take a thick jacket with me

@floralies He's barely started! I hijacked him yesterday for rotavating in th eveg plot and his next job, if it dries up, is to cut the grass in there as it's so long it's difficult to negotiate with the new knee. Supposed t be dry with a 0.5mm dribble at midday but it's been raining all morning and doesn't look like stopping.

Good luck with eyes and ears. Ladies at patchwork club who've had their cataracts done are very pleased with them.
