Yawn Yawn Wakey Wakey 2024

Hello Ladybird. Still waiting for the rain here, but since the sky doesn’t have a cloud as far as the eye can see, I’m not really expecting much. . Because we were v cold this morning, Hubby lit the wood heater and now we’re a bit too warm inside. . Can’t get it right it seems.

 

Today I will be taking the bus into town when I go for my covid booster and blood test as finding somewhere to park in town for longer than two hours (Tesco allow that on their car park) is a pain and as well as the aforementioned appointments I want to go to the bank.
Team lost last night but I did enjoy being Madam Fullcharge.

 

@PatE, I always think its nicer to be a bit too warm rather than the alternative. It is dry here at the moment but will probably pour down because I'm having to go into town so I will go armed with my umbrella.

Im feeling a bit over fed. Hubby made a choc chip cake and served it up with a large dollop of cream. It doesn’t sound healthy, but I can’t see the cake lasting for more than a couple of days.

And it's still raining - apparently until Thursday. Much needed, much appreciated but very dismal!! And I know that all the weeding I have done will be back again in a couple of weeks' time!! Ho hum!!

No @Ergates there doesn't seem to be a french system in our libraries here that allow downloading of language books. Shame. I had a look on the Borrowbox site but I think you have to be a member of a library in the UK. I'll check again - there must be some way to download free Ebooks. If anyone has any idea - suggestions gratefully accepted. Not that I wish to put any writer's nose out of joint, having one in the family.

Last day of April today and a hat's off to my Dad. It's his day today!!

Moira's 60th. and our 30th. wedding anniversary today [ I have no excuse for forgetting ], we are just off for a couple of days in York. The weather is not looking bad, which is a good start.

Happy Anniversary to the Punkdocs.
It's a cool, windy 9C and I would love it to be warmer. I'm freshening up my Geraniums (which I've had inside over winter) and will put them outside on the front steps today.
We have an old wooden ladder which OH is going to chop up and make some kind of trellis or arch this coming weekend. Should be interesting... I am thinking of putting climbers on each side of it, if it works!

Thanks for the update on @Hostafan, @Dovefromabove. I do worry when I realise I haven’t seen a post from someone for a while. Getting used to the new forum, but forget that people may be posting on other threads that I haven’t been keeping an eye on.
Raining here, I have a list of indoor jobs but haven’t started on them yet. I have a parcel hopefully being delivered today, I do hate having to stay in for something.
