Thanks @Ladybird4 things have been much easier these last few weeks it does help when we have efficient pharmacists.
Does anyone else think May is the best month of the year? The garden is starting to look good and not yet infested with weeds. So much to do out there and something new every day. Weather is improving at last and all the bank holidays! So much extra time to spend outside where we should be.

@Debs64, I do like May and June equally. I love seeing everything popping up and reminding me of what I do actually have in my garden.:spinning:

              Morning all.

Our journey was OK but the plane was late so we missed the train and took the one an hour later. A friend met us at the station and drove us home. Then we put the heating on in the cottage and went to a local pub for dinner.

OH has his Covid booster this morning then we'll go to the SM for supplies.

              Sunny outside at the moment.

Hello @Busy-Lizzie. A bit of a hiccup on your return but at least it wasn't catastrophic. My arm is just a bit stiff this morning after my vaccination yesterday but nothing major. I expect it will have worn off by tonight.

The first Council grass cut of the year on the green in front of my house has just started. I will never understand why they don't have grass collection boxes on their machines but the cut grass does provide fun for local youngsters and dogs.
p.s. they obviously haven't heard of 'No Mow May'

                    Good morning all :coffee1:
Now is the month of Maying … we’ll be rehearsing that one at choir this afternoon. It’s a lovely bright and sunny morning and 13C here in Norfolk …
Glad you’re back here safe and sound @Busy-Lizzie , despite the hiccough. :)

Hello all, I'm hardly catching up with you all. The weather is dire here, cold, wet and windy after a warm day yesterday, it's like a yo yo. I would gladly send you some rain @PatE if I could! Some plants in the GH are not at all happy i don't think they will survive.
I must book our next Covid boosters also. Our visiting hare has hopped away now, I rather miss seeing him/her mornings and evenings.
We have Black Redstarts nesting under our tiles, they nest there every year, I think they are the most friendly birds we have in our garden.
I am re- purposing an old duvet today, I'm cutting it up to stuff a couple of large cushions that have gone very limp! I hope it works.
                        Have a good day everyone.

                          Good Morning all.

May, we have been expecting you. Quoting my almanac, we can enjoy “the sweet smell of lilac, clouds of cow parsley and globes of sparkling alliums”.

                          Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon all. Hasn't it been nice (in the UK at least) to see a return to some warmer (but not hot) weather? - perfect for pottering outside.

Spent this morning getting kitchen bits and bobs ready for packing. We're flying to Croatia next Tues for a last minute 7 nights self catering. We usually travel in our little camper van and have most, kitchen stuff with us but I suddenly realised that we should be taking things like a few sheets of kitchen roll, half a dozen dishwasher tabs, J-cloth etc as they almost certainly won't be supplied. Also a couple of pacs of our favourite tea. They definitely don't sell W'rose own blend in Croatia - although I suspect it's actually Yorkshire Tea which they do.

@Ergates - hope you have a wonderful time on your cruise. You will have gathered that really big cruise ships are not for me although I do understand your preferring the anonymity of a large vessel. I don't particularly like staying in B&B's or self catering accommodation where owners live on site and you have to interact with them.

Time for a spot of lunch now and then outside to do battle with the weeds. They'll be going mad over the next few weeks now it's warmed up.

Wednesday morning to you almost 9AM here.
Have a good flight, @Topbird , shame the self-catering does not have those supplies you mentioned that your taking with you. My airbnb is a fully stocked kitchen with all sorts of supplies, even spices and olive oil. coffee and teas. Even had a French Chef remark about how nice it was to cook in my kitchen there. I ran across --what is called Bartenders towels---sturdy things, have a stack in the drawer there, besides the pretty hanging ones for decorations. When we travel with our show car, I do keep a bag of laundry pods in the car, sometime have to use hotels washer/dryer.
Been a long time since I stayed in self-catering B&B where owners lived on site.

2nd time I heard about Yorkshire tea, have to order it from Amazon.

Food shopping today. And to my favorite cheese shop. Rained last night. Take care all.

@redstar - as I said we do most of our holidays using our camper van (RV) so we usually have everything with us. Generally, if we do use self catering accommodation, it will be a proper cottage or house where the basics are all provided - just as you do in your Airbnb.

The accommodation we're heading for this time is a more basic holiday chalet on a holiday camp complex where they don't provide much extra beyond towels and linen. It will only have been open for 2 weeks when we arrive so there won't be any bits and bobs such as salt and pepper left behind by previous guests.
