We've had a great day on the Norfolk Broads. We had a really good lunch sitting in the sunshine by the river at a pub in a village called Coltishall. Then we went to Wroxham where I had booked an electric boat with loo for the afternoon. There were quite a lot of boats on the river as it was a lovely sunny day and Saturday. There were lots of birds, swans, ducks, geese, grebes, herons etc, some with babies. They were very skilled at avoiding the boats.

3:38PM. Nothing worth staying at the Auction, lots of large farm equipment people wanted, stuff inside house was just ordinary.
On way home picked up a bunch of Garlic Scapes, got them all chopped up in food processor and in trays for freezing. Still have a small hunk left from last year. A nice substitute for garlic when cooking. Also got yummy cottage cheese at the same market, homemade, so yummy. Also picked up a fresh eggplant for dinner, with Garlic Scapes, and pasta, one pan. Good morning everyone. Sadly, I didn't get a glimpse of the Northern Lights last night but there was a lovely crescent moon. Weather man says that there may be another chance to night. Also today might be thundery.

 

@Busy-Lizzie, sounds like you had the perfect day on the Broads. I'll bet the small people loved being on the boat.
@redstar, at least it would have been quite interesting browsing through what was on offer. I have wild garlic in my garden that works well too. One of my favourite meals is pasta with anything - primary choice being any pesto sauce.

 

Today, as well as being many other notable days, is also National Limerick Day so here is one for you:

Morning all. Early start for a Sunday (for me anyway). I'm off to take my mother to the hospital (she needs to drop off a heart monitor that she's been wearing for a few days) and then to do some gardening with my parents (or be supervised!). Car is full of compost, plants, my gardening stuff and a bag of ready-mix mortar - they have some brick edging that needs resetting. It's forecast thunderstorms there later this afternoon but not here, which is irritating because my garden could use a good drop of rain.
