    Good morning everyone.
It's cloudy and dull here. I'm nipping into town for one or two forgotten items then hope to plant my sweet peas and play with the compost bin.
    @Ergates, have a lovely trip.
At 3am my OH reminded me it is my birthday in a month's time and what would I like to do?
    Sleep! I said.

        Morning all.

We have to go to Périgueux, Dordogne's capital town, today to pick up OH's new bank card. He said he'll take me out to lunch.

          Good morning all :coffee1:
Sunshine here … hope it’s spreading your way @Punkdoc
All seems good here … MILs drain was removed yesterday and they’re pleased with her. Next appointment isn’t until early June. We’ll run the hoover round etc here and pack and leave about lunchtime. OHs local sister (the one with horses) will pop in each day to do anything that needs to be done etc. Hopefully that’ll fit the bill. Have a good day folks.

Morning all. A nice sunny day after a very wet one yesterday. Think I need to tackle raspberry runners and then decide what to do with the box plants which are being chewed by the pesky caterpillar. Seems the warm weather you had last week while we were away woke them up....

....and the drive is green with weeds. Far too many to pull or hoe - a combo of free draining shingle, a very wet winter and then a dose of warm weather. Have been wanting to spray weedkiller for the last month but, before we went away it was always either wet, forecast to be wet or it was breezy - so I'm hoping there will be a suitable weather window over the next day or so.

@Ergates - hope you have a wonderful cruise. Send lots of pics - I love Norway and can't wait to hear about where you're visiting.

                Good Morning folks.

Having a quiet morning here before SM and checking in on Dad.

Just looking at my Phormium flower spikes - they’ve shot up in the last two days! Massive!

Have a great Friday everyone - travelling, holiday-ing, pottering, chores, lunching or whatever else.

Afternoon all, it's very pleasant outside, warm and sunny with a very slight breeze so I must get going.
Did my usual walk this morning, bought cakes (Friday is cake day in this household!), picked up the paper, meds and food I'd forgotten to order in yesterday's S/M delivery then bussed back as I was then too hot and tired to walk all the way home.
Enjoy your cruise @Ergates and enjoy your lunch out @Busy-Lizzie.
I expect you'll be glad to be home again @Dovefromabove.
Thanks @Tui34, lazing around sounds good to me!

Friday. chilly 60 degrees. Over caste, but weather report says no rain.
Friend of mine told me about a peony farm, local, that is open to the public for self guided tours only today and through the weekend. So I am going. Given its over caste will be an asset for photos. Getting my camera ready. Hope to post some here.

The present guests at our Airbnb, are there because of some hospice situation with a family member, I am told, by our property manager. Anyway, they have to leave end of next week and there is another guest coming in for 4 days. Well turns out the Hospice guests have now booked again after the 4 days person another span of time. So as it stands we are solid with guests until June 9. We have to get down there, have stuff loaded to take, but seems our window will only be a four day window. then next guests to arrive. Reminder, its an 8 hour drive, usually turns out to be 10 with lunch etc, we split the drive. Be good having the extra to cover costs of that house.

                          OK take care.

Just come in from a big session in the garden my back was definitely starting to protest and I could sense a headache developing had I continued so I thought it sensible to call it a day for now as I have actually managed to do all the tasks I set myself.
Goodness @redstar, there is not much time on the change over days is there? Hopefully your visitors are respectful of your property so that there is no great mess to have to clear up. As you said, you are quite some distance from there so your property manager must be good.

Lazy afternoon at sea. Haven’t had a chance to read back, but hope everyone is ok.
A glorious sunny day, and thankfully my clothing has dried out after yesterday. No pictures from my two hour guided walk in Bruges, as not a lot of point getting the camera out in the rain. It turns out my waterproof coat can’t cope with that much wet, and I was soaked through, as were most of the others and our guide. However, it was very interesting and enjoyable, so I’m glad I went despite the weather. Saw a catalpa tree in the park. Of course, the rain stopped as we left the harbour and the sun came out then!
Tomorrow is our first stop, at Flam in Norway, nothing planned apart from waking early to see the sail along the fjord, and then a stroll on shore.
View from our cabin. Hoping we might see a whale, at least a few porpoises or dolphins would be great.

                                Afternoon.

Just having a break midst painting the shed. Not sure I’ll finish it today as it’s hot in the sun, but maybe I’ll put some music on and do the shady side now.

Your trip sounds fabulous @Ergates - enjoy!
