    Good morning1.jpeg
Another sunny and warm day ahead. It is exceptionally mild here for February.

J taking his car up to the mechanics for yearly service and MoT/IPO. J drops it off and they bring him home ... it's just five minutes straight up the road at the beginning of Messines.

I spent nearly two hours out front yesterday morning tidying and watering my Adeniums J brought out of The Baffa and planting some Pepperdew seeds. I will go out for an hour or so this morning.

Enjoy you day and lunch out Upsy.

      Good day
It is 22f -5c and I believe it is cloudy. It is too dark to see it with my own eyes.

Sounds like a nice outing @Upsydaisy. I was in Salisbury for a brief lookabout and I liked the "feel" of the place.

I'm surprised I don't have a sore back today and I did a lot of shifting about to make a nice space for Emily to hang out with her friends. She is right chuffed with it

I received my Letter of Completion from the Ontario Pesticide Education Program, University of Guelph. It says if I do become a farmer within the next 5 years, to let them know and they will issue an additional certificate/license for farm operations, no cost, because I have passed the exam. :phew: If it is after the 5 years, I will have to write again.

I need to go see a client this morning. This the lady for whom I have done two homes, a 4K square foot "cottage" and a ski cabin. I am to be doing some windows in the home they bought and are renting out. I believe it will just be a small job but it will welcome and will help pay for the clarinet I ordered.

And on the way back from that city I will stop in at 2 places. One will be Costco to get a container of grated parmesan and the other will be to buy some more cork grease for the clarinet. Hmmm, I'm thinking this summer that the best place to practice it will be on the side of the house next to the hillbillies

      Cheers all :coffee:

        Good morning !

We have a buy one get one free day today ...heavy rain and strong winds, how lucky are we!

Obviously no plans ,we'll just see what comes about.

We had super day yesterday , the run out to Salisbury was really beautiful with lush green fields of cattle and sheep and rolling hills as far as the eye could see. It was pretty amazing to see just how high the water table is with flooded areas dotted about everywhere and today's weather won't help the situation at all.

We enjoyed a visit to a little art gallery not only great paintings on canvas but beautifully painted frames too!

I know I've said it before but I'm totally in my happy place when looking at and walking amongst really old buildings with their history just oozing out from them. Bliss.

We had a lovely wander through the farmer's market, stocking up with salads , fruit and veg.

After such a great day I really don't mind the rain today.....I probably will tomorrow though. :heehee:

        Have a super day.

Morning all. Another fine day ahead of us. Squeak is out in front of thr house squeaking. Van has just gone out. Munchkin is still on the bed washing.

Nothing going on here but I think J is going to Messines for a bit of shopping and stopping off at the lady's house to buy some more equipment. The gout in is foot/toe is playing up again.

Sending sunshine to whoever needs it.

            Good day
It is 28f -2c and lovely sunshine. A bonus of a day!

I'm glad to hear that you are having pleasant weather too :blue thumb:

Gout is a nasty thing. I had a friend who seemed to bring it on just by looking at a pork chop!

I've had a busy morning already. I was doing some final adjustments down in the cellar to tweak it to look a bit cozier. It's hard to do with an unfinished area. I tested the fireplace down there to make sure the pilot would light and all is well and ready to heat the area for when the girls want to hang out. It is a large mains gas fireplace with a 32"w x 36"h facade so not a dinky little thing by any means.

I've finished 2 loads of laundry, cooked some noodles for snacks and just generally did more "Mum" stuff.

I'm hoping that I get the time to clean the battery terminals and do some other maintenance for the greenhouse lights and fans. And when Em gets back from school, we'll go to the pharmacy to get her new meds. She's been on iron tablets to try to raise that level and unfortunately her blood test revealed she went in the opposite direction. She eats a healthy variety of foods including lots of fruits and vegetables so I am puzzled and a bit worried. Time will tell.

            Cheers :coffee:

Wednesday, almost 10AM here, 35 degrees.
Outside already filling my suet cages, have 5 of them. Get so many neat birds, enjoy watching them with my coffee in the morning.
Your day and your likes are lovely @Upsydaisy .

The Chess Club meet up was lovely, I played two games with one of the top players, and naturally I knew he'd kick my stern. He says he plays 3 games a day, probably online. Guess if I ever want to beat him I have to get it together. Rolling my eyes.

Back to the tax form for the accountant. Some house stuff and selling the car parts.

              Have a good day all.

Good Morning everyone. The above just about sums up our day here today.

We will have to brave the rain as we need to visit my brother this morning and from there we will travel on to Winchester as the Dentist contacted us for our medical history. :dbgrtmb:

When the rain comes it's really been heavy of late optimistically hoping we will never need to water this summer, in my dreams!! :heehee:..in reality I know that won't happen but I can only hope.

Oh well never mind better get togged up in our waterproofs as we need to leave at 9.

Whatever you're up to enjoy your day everyone.

The sun is about to pop through the light cloud ... and we may have a couple of showers late morning and evening, Could have a wet weekend too. :fingers crossed:

Cancelled my luncheon outing to Alte today due to J's gout. John has offered to take me to the Dentist tomorrow if need be. I can't have sympathy for self induced maladies due to over indulgence.

Have a safe journey Upsy and trust R is okay.

                    Good day
It is a sizzling 38f 2c and cloudy with hints of blue sky here and there.

I'm a bit late because I was early. Early out shopping. They had some items on special offer that are favourites of my autistic grandson so in order to get some before they ran out, I went to the store as soon as their doors opened. I have one more place to go which has an "in-house" pharmacy and I need one more of Em's things at the pharmacy section which does not open until 9 so that wee trip will happen in 1 hour.

I hope you don't get sopping @Upsydaisy and I have my fingers crossed that all is well with your brother.

@Victoria I had read that gout is caused by too much fatty meat being eaten and things like lobster? I guess it's mother nature's way of giving people a spanking for being naughty.

Talk of overindulgence kinda makes me feel guilty for putting on a couple of pounds because I pigged out on sweets and Christmas cake the last few weeks. It is time for me to back off the feedbag too!

I've got a day of puttering and tidying. And I need to bring the walkers upstairs as the couple who had borrowed them before, need them again. She had a hip replacement, now he is getting a knee replacement. They're swinging by tomorrow morning to pick them up. They seem like a very nice couple.

                    Cheers :coffee:

In J's case the culprit is beer which has the highest number of purines ... five on his Friday lunch then two Friday evening and two on Saturday and two on Sunday. He knows that's the problem so is on water now.

No rain yet, breezy and only 17c.

I've had gout, I now take one tablet of Allopurinol a day, it seems to work and you dont have to drink water, that's for washing in.
I did have colchicine once but its a bit hard on the stomach, so prevention is better than cure.

Prescription, I'm on 100mg as a precaution, been on them for about 7 yrs and not noticed any side effects.
I'm not sure but I think there "can" be a link between gout and kidney stones, and you dont want them.
