Glad your sister's funeral went nicely, @PatE can't have been that easy though.

I hope the funeral tomorrow goes smoothly @Ladybird4. Sad to lose a friend.

We are back home from my son's. The journey went smoothly, did feel long though. I left my pink summer mac behind, bother it, but DIL is going to post it.

The electrician popped round just after we got back. The bathroom towel rail was overheating. Not possible to repair, it's too old. He's going to send me a quote.

Managed to get most of my garden jobs done with OH's help but ended up feeling quite tired again. Think it might be the lurking Polymyalgia perhaps - either that or I think I'm a lot younger than I really am!

Nice surprise last night, Moira told me she was taking me away for a birthday treat tonight. We are going to Northcote Manor for dinner, Lisa Goodwin Allen is the chef for those interested in such things.

Good morning @Punkdoc and all arriving later. Another dull start to the day but it has time to improve. The funeral today is at 13:30 and I've fingers crossed that the sun shines then.

You are a very lucky chap indeed @Punkdoc … I hope you both have a marvellous time. It looks a really lovely place and it goes without saying that the food will be wonderful.
@lizzie27 I find I have to pace myself for physical work now … I really don’t have the oomph I used to. I too was wondering about @Dordogne Damsel … how long was her UK trip going to be? I hope things are ok.

We have 12C and a milky-blue sky at the moment but they say we can expect showers later.
