    Morning all.

Just looked up Northcote Manor. Looks gorgeous. I hope you have a wonderful evening @Punkdoc . Will you be staying the night?

I hope the funeral goes smoothly @Ladybird4 and it doesn't rain.

I have a lot of gardening to do, I've done very little recently because of the rain. First we need to do the weekly shop and buy a new toaster.

        Good morning all.
My day started really well- I was about to feed the cats when I noticed what I thought was a small lump of cat food on the floor. I picked it up and was stung on my finger! Turns out to be a bee! I carefully picked it up with a tissue and directed it out of the window. It was still alive, a small type with a brown bum...
I applied some antiseptic cream and my finger wasn't sore for long.

I hope you'll be ok @RowlandsCastle when checked over, your friend's funeral goes as well as these things can @Ladybird4 ,and @Punkdoc has a lovely meal out.

Glorious sunshine when I got up so I did some washing. The sun went in immediately and the forecast is for rain. Typical!

I hope your day will be all that is wished.

          Lizzie27, Ladybird4, redstar,
Thank you all. Being a dog owner has its unexpected responsibilities. Seeing my smallish Shitzu chasing chickens, eyes glazed over, almost out of control with what he is doing, oblivious to me, has made me realize how easily dogs attacking sheep and foxes killing chickens happens. Very exciting, chickens squawking and flying everywhere, there seemed to be hundreds of the wretched birds but there are only about a dozen.
Rob has already killed a half grown pullet chick, being a Bank Holiday both of my neighbours, including the chicken owner, were away and I did phone my daughter who lives fairly close but no one answered until after I had retrieved Rob.
Part of my problem with the chickens is they have pea brains and seem determined to come right back into my garden despite being chased and scared by a ravaging dog and yelling human!
Another adventure in "The Life of Rob". Onwards and upwards to the next installment.

@Fire hasn't posted since 18th March, @Bluejayway. Maybe she's decided not to join this forum after all. Shame as she was a regular poster on GW.

Good morning everyone, well it was dry here for all of 10 minutes, very wet now, at least the lawn treatment will get washed in. Ironically we have to go shopping for a new hosepipe. I was cleaning the patio pond yesterday, (one of those big fibreglass bowls) took everything out to try to get rid of the blanket weed that had taken over. Anyway, I had the jet washer out to clean the bowl and the patio area, when my wife tapped me on the shoulder and said "lookat the hose". It had bulges and a small pinprick hole spraying water down the steps.
Best wishes to all with various ailments.

Morning everybody, dull and wet here forecast for much of the day so indoor things, like ironing awaits, unless I can entice a friend to meet me at a GC. I'm carless until OH comes back with two new tyres fitted.

What a lovely surprise @Punkdoc, enjoy! and tell us all about it when you return.

@Ladybird4, hope it all goes ok today and that the sun shines.

@Dovefromabove, I thought DD was only over in the UK for a week?

                  Good Morning everyone.

I’m shattered after my 12 hour shift - it was non-stop and even lunch break was writing notes. A day off to recoup then doing it all again tomorrow. It’s raining here but I’ll venture out to the poly greenhouse to give the tomatoes a motivational speech.

Is the tennis on tv @Dovefromabove?

Thoughts to those with big stuff or sad stuff going on. I’m glad you could be part of being there at the funeral @PatE, and I hope @Ladybird4 is ok today and has some warmth from the sun, or just from the love of the people there.

                  Take care all.

                    Morning all.

Well early this morning we finally had some proper rain, so no watering for me today. Turns out that nearby places have been having usual amounts of rain all this time. I sometimes think that this village has a weird little microclimate of its own :)

You were 100% right about the poppies @lizzie27 . They have recovered fairly well as you predicted.

Glad the funeral went well @PatE . A very sad time for you nonetheless. My thought are with you.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend from the coffee mornings @Ladybird4 .

Best wishes for your health and recovery @RowlandsCastle

Glad your journey went safely @Busy-Lizzie

Enjoy your well-deserved day off @AuntyRach

My eyes have been playing up again since Sunday, so I'm going to ring up soon for another appointment at the Minor Injuries Unit.

P.S. @Coccinella Haven't seen any posts from you for a while. Hope you and your loved ones are all safe.

The tennis is on our tv @AuntyRach but no idea if it’s on everyone’s … we have the basic Virgin package.

Sausage rolls are in the oven. … we’ll have them for supper with a Cos lettuce from the farm shop and San Marzano toms from Wrose… they looked too tempting to resist …

Tuesday, almost 9AM for me here. Still sipping coffee. Nice and chilly last night.
Good day for a bit of garden stuff. some errands. And stop by the chess club meet up for a game or two. Nothing really new that I have not mentioned before so, onward. Have a good day all.
