Agree. It is improving slightly as the day goes on.

Good thing, when he was at the Chemist J got a Covid test ... and he is negative! He went out twice over the weekend buying "stuff" and there is always hand shaking, plus he went shopping Friday and admits he does not wipe the carts or his hands any more ... grrr!

Other possible good news is J put a few crunchies in The Squeak's bowl (he has his own matching water and crunchie bowls) and we watched on the CCTV in The Jungle Room him eat and leave. J went out at 8am and there was still some there! However, he has finished it now. If he was starving he would not have left anything. He's back again now and V & M are both out. He was on the stone wall with Munch earlier.

      Wednesday.
Filling out the application for "husband" to re-new his Passport. Cannot believe there is a check box for "sex change" on it. OH, My.

Did get a lot of garden stuff done yesterday. Raining now. Not sure what I feel like doing for the rest of the day. Choices.

      Have a grand day all.

          Good morning.

          Love the pic Lori!

Vicky at least you know Squeak had had some food.:blue thumb: That's reassuring.

Good to know that there's no horrid Covid lurking.

We still wear gloves when shopping, they never get removed. Always did hate the thought of trolley handles and using the pin keypad , it great now to just scan your card.

Guess what , another wet day but today we have heavy rain to look forward to. Thankfully still mild during daylight hrs but dipping for for the next few nights.
          Hot water bottle time again.:)

Hope you all have a good day, stay warm and dry.

Morning all. A sunny start here.

Now how cute is that Poppet Lori.

Sorry you are plagued with rain again Upsy.

I have stitches removal this afternoon. Ssssh! but as the Clinic is in the AlgarveShopping centre I am going to ask J to take me into Continente there which entrance we pass in front of so I can look for a pair of jeggings in the clothes department and also look in the garden section. :fingers crossed::fingers crossed::fingers crossed: As my monthly "day out" was cancelled last Thursday due to J's gout, I feel it is only fair.

            Have a good day all.

              Morning Vicky.

Your secret is safe here with us, hope everything goes well at the Dentist, it will of course :blue thumb:, and have fun browsing the leggings and GC.
Update required on all purchases. :dbgrtmb:.

Yep this rain is definitely becoming a tad soul destroying now, there seems to be no let up. We're still hoping to get out into town tomorrow, the good thing about Southampton is the West Quay with it's undercover walkways to other places at least you can keep dry!

                Good day
It is back up to 24f -4c and I think I can see the stars so not too cloudy. The guessers say we'll be getting some storms today with perhaps some snow.

@Upsydaisy the Westquay reminds me of a lot of our larger shopping centres. We have loads of these indoor malls and then there are the "big box" stores that seem to be built around large parking lots. So scurrying between them is done out in the elements.

@Victoria I hope the stitches slip out easily and that it is a quick visit.

I've got a fairly quiet day today. The ladies in one group were going to meet for lunch not far from me and I was just going to slip over to join them for coffee after they'd eaten. I wasn't joining them for the meal as it is a pricey place! But they have canceled due to one lady being ill and contagious and also the bad weather coming in might make roads bad. I shall still go over to that center because one shop has flour on offer and I figure if I can pick up 20 or more kilos, that would be good.

                And I'm going to putter.

                Cheers :coffee:

Thursday, Almost 9AM here. Went out to the bird feeders, soil crunchy frosty, chilly day.
Did go yesterday to a favorite town, they have some cute clusters of shops, and had lunch.
Picked up some lovely sausages from the Butcher there for dinner.
Today, my yearly doctors appointment/check-up. Guess she'll give me a script for bloodwork also--to get that done NPO in a few days. Have a DexScan scheduled, just routine for March.

I have a flower pot like the one the cat is sitting in, its green, taller, use it yearly to fix up and hang by my mail box. Takes 28 plants.

Anyway off to whatever. Have a good one all. Mail box impatiencs.jpg

Stitches out in moments. It was J's Dentist Dra Margarita. J made an appointment with her For Tuesday morning as he has pain where his denture fits.

What a trauma! As we arrived J said one wheel was flat. So he left me sitting in Dental Reception while he took wheel to car to inflate. Came back and equipment didn't work. I stood my ground going shopping with a grumpy grump. Nevertheless I came home with a two tone peach Azalea, a red Geranium and three terracotta pots, all for under a tenner, well free on our store card ... so I am a happy bunny.

No, it wasn't the car ... it was my wheelchair wheel! So I stuck to my guns and he pushed me reluctantly around the store. No jeggings, that was a nightmare. Aldi has them next week so maybe I can coerce to go there. Overall I enjoyed the outing ... and I got things I like. He is attempting to repair the pump now *electric, plugs into the car).

                          Have a nice evening. xx

@Upsydaisy , I get the wearing gloves while shopping. I guess if I was out a lot with public transportation etc I might do that. My thing is not to put my hands near my face at all. And to wash double long when I get home or to a sink with soap. My thing is to not eat any food items that are open with others with naked hands have gotten near it to take some of it to their dish. I only ----if its a buffet or party----I only take food where there is a spoon etc to serve it to your dish. Also when I worked most times 99% I ate at my desk and people would just come in my office and hover over me to ask questions, I would quickly cover my food with the napkin or bag it came in so no "accidental" saliva would land on my food. Also, I believe to always close the toilet lid before flushing. So far with those practices I did avoid Covid.

I've been wearing gloves for years redstar whenever going shopping...even have pretty lightweight ones specifically for summertime too.:SUNsmile: That goes back even to before we decided to use public transport on a more regular basis , which only started about a 1.5 years ago although then we still used the car for grocery shopping.

It's all too easy to say not to put your hands near your face and even easier to think that you don't but in reality we all do without it even registering . I'll even go as far as admitting that since Covid this has been the fuel to my people watching pass time when out and about...and what people touch / do unknowingly is a real eye opener!! :yikes:

Using buses and trains is pretty easy as I use swipe passes or scan our e-tickets that are on my phone. I've even be known to wear a plaster on my little finger to press the bell as we approach our stop to get off. Where there's a will there's always a way.:roflol:

My hubs and I both carry and frequently use an approved hand sanitizing gel when we're out too.....and we've never stopped wearing face masks is crowded places either, fortunately we're not alone in doing so in fact more people have begun doing so over the Winter months too.:blue thumb:

I would never contemplate eating 'open' food that was self serving or set out in an crowded, mingling environment either..no way!! Not just the concerns of other's handling any of it but also of breathing ,coughing and sneezing over it too!! Thankfully I've always be a very frequent and thorough hand washer so Covid never caused me to have to change this part of my daily routine.:blue thumb: Fortunately for us both have never had Covid either...despite all our travels via public transport and visits/ stays with our brood up in London which have included visiting lots of crowded touristy places too. We are the only ones in our family not to have caught it and a lot of our friends have caught it too ,yet apart from my older sister we are the only ones that regularly use public transport. Just goes to show !!:blue thumb:

Also great lid down flushers here too , not forgetting to wait and sanitize the inside of the lid afterwards of course.:dbgrtmb:
