How very sad for all concerned @Badly_Maintained. Life is so precious.
I have been to my art group. There were precious few of us and all we did was chat (I am meant to be doing a dog pawtrait!) However, it was a welcome break from the house.

 

Cheers @Penny_Forthem , so far so good, thanks for your kind offer, I'll have to work out how to send a PM on this site. I bought MM's book which arrived Saturday so have had a good read, very interesting. I think I've been dieting most of my adult life, on and off, so boring.

I'm so sorry to hear your news @Badly-Maintained, that's a really tough one.

Hope you're on the ferry now @Busy-Lizzie. Our Irish friends who called in yesterday did the Dublin to Pembroke ferry which I think takes around six hours. Rather him that me on the Irish sea!

I'm not surprised you feel tired today @redstar, it's a long drive back home for you as well.

Had a busy day today and now just sitting down for 5, so thought I’d catch up here. It has stayed dry today and reasonably warm, too.

Hello all,

Sorry, I've been AWOL again. Tricky few months here and so many ties on my time, plus not quite accustomed to this site.

Anyway, Chap in my life is on the long road to recovery, exceeding all doctors expectations, he comes out of the sanatorium on Thursday, been in hospital since 23rd April with a weekend reprieve in-between.A new healthy life commences with four new arteries.

Charlie has been studying like mad, and has a fair few exams under his belt, one last push now.

Also came first in a massive running event last Friday, smashing all records, I think he's a chance with the National squad but he's playing it down.

CdeG is ok, but a bit of sunshine would be welcome, apparently coming soon.

I'm back into running and competed in a 10km race last weekend, and am registered for the Berlin marathon next year.

I really hope you're all ok and I've not missed as anything important. Read back one page and was sorry to hear your news @Badly_Maintained .

I promise to try and drop in more often.

Another dismal morning although muggy. The sun came out yesterday afternoon as I expect it will today too. I must admit, this is good growing weather but also good disease weather too. I found some tiny black "fly" things on my tomato stems - maybe they need a blast of something. Oh! A mozzie on my keypad!! .....no longer!

Sad news @Badly_Maintained So sorry. Her parents must be inconsolable. Glad to read that your migraine has given you a break. Good luck for your MRI scan tomorrow.

@Tui34, the weather is looking good here for at least today, the sun is bright (rather like @Ladybird4's vivid pic) so I'm hoping no rain today!
I'm off to town for some bits, then may potter about in the garden. That's my day. May your day be all you wish.
