Good morning all. @Tui34, I meant to add last night that we have a similar expression here where it is said that if it rains on St Swithin's day (July 15th) then we can expect 40 days of rain to follow. Fingers crossed then!
Off to Bestie's to have my hair done - her daughter is a mobile hairdresser - and then back to wait for the Virgin Media technician as not only have I a problem signing into my account, but now my landline is dead. My patience is being well tried with this company!

              Morning all,

              Thank-you for identifying my flowers @Dovefromabove .

Very beautiful garden you have there @Busy-Lizzie .

I'm leaving very shortly for an MRI scan of my brain. If I'm home again in time I will be a pall-bearer at the funeral (if not, another will take my place).

Must dash. Best wishes to all, as always.

                Good morning all :coffee1:
Wall to wall blue sky and sunshine here in Norfolk. It’s glorious. Our niece is setting off on the Three Peaks Challenge … so glad the weather’s improved.
Marvellous session at choir yesterday, (only one more session before our concert) then a quick visit to Wrose for apples and milk etc, then I collected OH from work and was back in time to see poor Andy Murray retire hurt
Not sure what’s happening today … a bit of garden tidying and prep for OHs exhibition next month … busy busy busy
Have a good day folks …

                  Morning all.

Thank you @Blue arbour, @Ladybird4 and @Badly_Maintained. Today we'll be in the garden, tidying and dead heading before we set off to West Yorkshire tomorrow.

The sun is shining and the sky is blue in south Norfolk.

Good morning everyone, what a contrast in the weather. It never ceases to amaze me what a transformation a few days of warm sunshine does in the garden and on the Allotments. We are still planting out things here. I don't think we're ever going to fully catch up this year! Must get on.

Morning. A lovely day here too.

I’ve just posted about the full moon and Summer Solstice on the weather thread as they coincide this next 24 hours. We’ve made it folks! The longest days and the highest sun.

Just read that Murray out with injury @Dovefromabove - will he be fit for Wimbledon do you think??

Have a good day all. Thoughts to @Badly_Maintained.

He’d played so well the day before @AuntyRach … this is such a sad interview … sounds like a semi-chronic neuro problem … disc maybe? That was my thought when I saw the physio working on him but I’m no medic (however I come from a family of ‘backs’). It’ll be so sad if he can’t play at Wimbledon and maybe Paris too … no one would want him to damage himself even more … but he’s such a fighter :love30: such respect. It doesn’t sound like that will improve by Wimbledon does it? He is on the older side for a top player now too.

Just having a coffee then back to bindweed attack. OH just fell off a ladder (the long, narrow one that I don’t approve of) luckily onto grass and not to high but words were said. Nearly broke my Mahonia! (He is fine btw).

                            Afternoon all,

                            Thank-you for your kind words @AuntyRach .

Drove 90mins to the MRI appointment, arriving 30mins early as required. While walking from the car park, they rang to say the MRI scanner had broken down. The funeral was at noon (instead of the usual 2pm), so I couldn't have made it back in time anyway. I'm not angry, just disappointed that I missed something which I had a moral obligation to attend (i.e. the funeral) for what turned out to be an unnecessary trip into the city. The car jounrney didn't do the poor old back any good either. C'est la vie, onwards and upwards. Better days lie ahead for us all.

On a much happier note, my one surviving patio rose looks like it will bloom very shortly, and the birds may well have eaten the caterpillars who were decimating my dwarf foxgloves. :)

A safe and happy afternoon to all.
