It is spring like again being 38f 3c and the guessers say we're going up to 62f 15c. Perhaps a record breaker.

And unfortunately I will have to spend a good part of the afternoon inside a research place to go through a yearly assessment for a study I'm participating in. I'm #704 :)

I've got bed linens in the dryer and one more small load to do an then just puttering until it is time to go.

    Cheers :coffee:

and healing vibes to @Upsydaisy !

Monday. Good Morning all, 50 degrees here. sat on my deck sipping coffee this morning, awesome weather. Bulbs popping everywhere.
Just normal stuff today to draw my attention etc.
Have that DexScan today at 2PM. then will food shop at another store for things they have that yesterday's did not have. Exciting life.
      Have a grand day all.

        Morning all.

Sun is up and a fine day is forecast up to 18c.

J's still full of cold and I still have a scratchy throat ... curses. At J's Dental appointment she took X-rays and discovered an infection under a filling, so out came the filling, a temporary put in and an Rx for antibiotics. Back next Monday for either root canal then crown or tooth out and new one added to plate. Think he'll go for latter. Guess he'll go to Pharmacy later. I will just potter today and a bit of crochet.

        Have a good one.

          Good day,
It is 50f 9c and it looks like it's going to be even milder and later on rainy.

@Victoria I hope the scratchy throat cures shortly and of course I'm also thinking about @Upsydaisy . I sure hope she recovers soon. We older ones really can't afford to waste time being ill.

I was quite taken with some stained glass I saw at the research place yesterday. There was also lots of art on display and for sale by university students.

I'm going to get out and clear some debris from the gardens before it rains. And get my free vitamin D.

          Cheers :coffee:

Morning Lori. I like that stained glass too.

I heard from Upsy and she is having difficulty being on a screen or even watching TV or reading so has an audio book and being bored as I am sure she is itching to get into her garden. I think it is raining with her so I am sending her some of my warmth and sunshine.

              Tuesday. 46 degrees.
Chess Club later today, 4PM to 6PM joining another group for a tournament.
Raining all day. Doing inside stuff.
Shame for @Upsydaisy , hope she is better soon.
              Later.

                Good Morning2.jpeg

A sunny start here going to 18c ... with downpours late tonight. I hope so. I had J give the Hibiscus and Brugmansia a dose of Epsom Salts yesterday so a good rain will settle that in.

Both are on the mend here just lingering tickly throat and associated coughs. A quiet day ahead.

Wednesday. Raining. Its 8AM here. 46degrees.
Last night at the Chess Tournament , they paired me up with a guy who said 'he's on line playing chess "all day". Good Lord, well I lost. Like who has time to sit there and play all day. Bet he has no job etc. or keeps house or a garden etc. or travels ect.

Tonight dropping off two of my photos to a photos contest thing, same group as last year. We shall see. Nice to see those folks again. Last year I won 2nd place out of 40 entries.

Take care all. Have a grand day.

                    Good day,
It is 42f 5c and quite cloudy. So it is good that I won't be wasting a nice day because I shall be in the car for a few hours to go to Niagara Falls, NY.

I'm glad your household is on the mend @Victoria :blue thumb:

And I shall hit the road soon to make my pick ups. Two are in the states and one is just this side of the border which makes it a productive drive.

                    Cheers :coffee:

Morning Cat with Brolly Boots.jpeg Morning all. We didn't have any downpours as forecast overnight but light rain started about 7ish and will end soon but forecast for on/off through the day. A warm 13c going to 16c.

I still have scratchy throat, J still snotty (hate that word).

Zero planned for here, just a quiet relaxing day.

                          Good day
It is 35f 1c and sunny. Absolutely lovely :)

That business with the runny nose/etc, always seems to hang on the longest. It's like a constant reminder that no matter how "normal" you feel, there is still a bit of the bug left in you. I hope @Upsydaisy is turning the tables on whatever it is that has taken her down. The really good gardening time is coming in a few weeks and I hope she is totally up for it :fingers crossed:

The drive down to the states and back was uneventful and fast. Even though there was a lot of fog down in the Niagara area, we moved along at a steady 130kph. Yes, a little over the speed limit but it was like a fast moving, well spaced conga line

I left at 9:45 and was back home by 12:30. I then discovered the contents of the raised garden parts box were not correct. The 4 pieces of 22" long square tubing was the important component I ordered and instead, the box contained 4-foot-long round tubes with small holes drilled about at the halfway point. I don't know what they are for but I did take a pic and sent it to the company to ask for them to send the square ones as ordered. And then I opened the case for the 3rd hand clarinet which I had picked up in Niagara Falls on the Canadian side and the inside was filthy and the clarinet was not well taken care of and was also greasy and filthy. However, a bit of elbow grease will amend that quickly. Now Emily has her Yamaha clarinet and I will have my Selmer clarinet and together we can drive the neighbours crazy

I stopped at the Lee Valley store on the way home to pick up some small coloured pots and yup, they had none in stock. A little disappointing but overall, I'm not feeling any big letdown. It comes under the heading, "sh happens".

I have some shopping to do after my hair dries and then more seed sewing. Emily may be having some friends for a sleepover to kick off the March break week and that means I need to get into high gear to be ready to entertain.

                          Cheers :coffee:

Morning all, Thursday. Rained all night, 50 degrees here.
Suppose to get a mammogram today, don't want to. but guess one last time.
Will do some pruning about outside.
On the final entries for taxes, working with husband to make sure all is accounted for, two brains.
Went to a thrift store yesterday got some neat stuff for the Airbnb, decorations type things. (on the cheap)
Dropped of my pics last night for the photo contest, the awards dinner is March 21. Nice to attend see a few folks from the community I know. Well onward to the day. Take care all. Hope all of you feel better. I can just say my arthritis is nuts some days, keep moving I tell myself.

Had a few showers in the night and may be a couple today but currently the sun is shining through hazy cloud, it is 10c going to 16c.

J meeting the guys today although still with headiness!!! At least he won't be snorting, coughing and sneezing over me for a few hours.

                              Have a good one.

It is now up to 36f 2c and only thin clouds so far. The guessers say the heavier ones will move in later so I know I want to get some of my outdoor work done before that happens.

I'm glad you're going to get a break from sounds of illness @Victoria :)

The guessers here have also said that the days ahead will have dipping temps and although the solar eclipse is not until April 8th, I'd like to get the greenhouse totally tidied and make room for at least shoulder to shoulder seating. I've told Emily that we can have an "Eclipse Party" that day and she may invite friends to have some fun witnessing the total blackout expected that afternoon. We are almost directly in the path - I am just to the left (west) of Toronto. [IMG]

I've already done my laundry and have made spiced rice and vegetables side dishes plus some noodle and vegetable side dishes. Batch cooking is so handy to constantly have home cooking on hand whenever the mood hits. I'll be out barbecuing some burgers, salmon burgers and some chicken too to go with the side dishes.

And also I will have the joy of cleaning loos. Why don't they make those totally waterproof with a big drain hole so you can simply spray it with bleach and then hose the whole bloody thing down?

                                Cheers :coffee:
