We had a similar agapanthus issue. I divided ours in half. One half was divided into nine plants, and the rest I threw away. Then, nothing. Then we moved, and I brought two with us. That has shrunk to one, and we have four spikes on ours.
To think the original plant had over 80 one year. I NEED more agapanthus in our garden. Fond memories of the Isles of Scilly. :)

Dull and overcast here, but at least it’s warm and dry. Not unpleasant at all.
I had an order to collect from the M and S food hall at the motorway services, so we headed down there to pick it up. The services were pretty packed, I wonder if people are heading down to south Devon and Cornwall, with the promise of the heatwave? Very pleased with my purchases, everything the size it should have been ( a bit of a rarity these days) and we stopped at the neighbouring diy store to pick up some flowers for the hanging basket. Got a multi pack of little yellow chrysanthemums, not my first choice, but OH was with me so I didn’t want to linger too long. He also prefers different colours from my favourites, but they’ll do fine and will brighten the place up.
Hope you got your MRI done, @Badly_Maintained, and don’t have to wait too long for a hopefully reassuring report. ( My sister had one done 18 months ago, and has never had the result. No explanation, but the symptoms are thankfully long gone)

That sounds very much like 'No news was good news' @Ergates. My agapanthus are not nearly as far on as yours. I have a baby one called 'Black Jack' which I think could do with feeding so I'll put that on my 'to do' list.

A very good morning one and all. Looking bright outside so I hope @Busy-Lizzie's Lake District visit is blessed with lovely weather. I am waiting delivery of some large pots and grow tables some day soon as these are so much kinder to my back when tending my plants. I noticed yesterday that my Solomon's Seal is being decimated by sawfly larvae. I think I'll have to sack off the bluetits!

Morning @Punkdoc. I had to smile when my sis told me that it was raining in Japan yesterday. They fly out to New Zealand tomorrow.

                  Good morning all :coffee1:
Another beautiful morning and the song thrush has been singing his song ‘thrice over’ for over an hour.

However all is not well in our little world … OH felt ‘not right’ last night and slept in the spare room … he had a restless night and has woken with a bit of a temp and feeling achey with a bit of a throaty feeling. Just what I don’t need with the concert on Saturday! We’re trying to keep our distance from each other. He thinks he may have caught it from a colleague … she said she was getting ‘a scratchy throat’. He’s had some aspirin and I’ll pop down to the Boots in Wrose and pick up some Beechams :fingers crossed:

                      Morning all.

I'm sorry your OH isn't well @Dovefromabove. I hope he gets better soon.

It will be warm again today, wish I'd packed another summer top.

We had a lovely day yesterday. We saw a beautiful garden in the morning, Holehird, near Windermere. There were meconopsis, which I've rarely seen before. We had a drink afterwards in Windermere.

Then we thought we'd like a boat trip so we went to Bowness which was heaving. Couldn't find a parking place, so I suggested having a look at Ullswater.

It was a beautiful drive through mountains and wonderful scenery. We saw a boat trip place when we arrived and there were places in the car park. We took the 2hr boat trip to Pooley Bridge at the other end of the lake and back. It was so beautiful. The sun shone but there was a cool breeze.

In the evening we went to a Thai restaurant for a delicious dinner.

Ullswater is my favourite ‘Lake’ @Busy-Lizzie … it’s very ‘gentle’. Some years ago now I went trekking around it and up and over the fells on a wonderful Fell mare. A fabulous experience and the views were amazing. It sounds as if you’re having a lovely time.

Right, I’m off to stock up on paracetamol!

                          Morning folks.
I missed everyone yesterday, so hope all is well.

The hot weather drill is in force here with strategic window and curtain opening and closing depending on the sun direction, to keep the house cool.

The sun has made the first appearance of the day here. I'm washing all the tartan throws from the den, in anticipation of a good drying day.
We were able to sit out after the grandkids had left. It was quite warm and peaceful, but we were commenting on the dearth of bats, swallows, swifts and butterflies. Plus we have no pears at all on our 3 trees.

                              Good morning Ladies & Gentlemen.

                              Thank-you for your kind words @Ladybird4 , @Punkdoc , @lizzie27 , @Topbird , @steephill & @Ergates . Your kindness and support is something I value highly.

The good news is that my MRI scan was conducted successfully yesterday, and (surprisingly) the scan results were read last night. My GP rang this morning, and the phrase he used was "reassuringly normal". The next step is an ultrasound scan of my lower abdomen. Never let it be said that I have refused a scan, blood test or vaccination! :)

I very much wish that the scans you and your wife have had bring similarly good news for you both @steephill .

I hope that your knee is much improved today @Busy-Lizzie , and that you are enjoying your visit to the very beautiful lake district.

Hopefully your OH is feeling much better today @Dovefromabove , and with any luck you won't have caught anything from him.

Best wishes to @Topbird for dry weather to allow you and your OH to continue having a wonderful holiday.

Hope your table painting went well @lizzie27 , and speaking of tables - it is good to hear that your have your proper kitchen table back @floralies .

Very humid today, but happily this is ameliorated by being a cool and cloudy day.

Best wishes to all as always.
