Thank you fellow gardeners. It's amazing what difference pushing the lawn mower around for an hour, can make. Plus, the lawn has less than 50% grass. Sunny days help too.
Furthermore, I can't take all the credit. My wife has worked hard, and the previous owner left such a lovely garden to us. We are basically tending the amazing place left to us.
We have been so blessed with all of this.

 

I am signing out for today. Gardeners World threw me by being on tonight instead of Friday. See you all tomorrow.

Evening.

I thought it was Friday today as it was my last working day of the week, so maybe that’s why GW was on! I messaged someone about their Saturday shift “tomorrow” (they corrected me) and I said ‘have a good weekend’ to someone else! Oops.

Me and my achy feet are off to bed. I’ll catch up with you all tomorrow (actual Friday).

 

I’m glad it’s just me got the days mixed up AuntyRach. Thank goodness my watch tells me the day and time.

Oh no @Dovefromabove - I hope your cold isn’t too bothersome. I’m waiting for mine as a few work colleagues have colds/covid.

I didn’t plan on being up early today but work group messaged to say someone off sick then the cats wanted breakfast as thought I was awake. Oh well - having a cuppa then might watch GW and if I snooze off then fine.

A very good morning one and all and safe journeys for those venturing forth. Got a day of baking today in preparation for Sunday's Strawberry Fayre. Picking up mountains of strawberries later this afternoon from a friend who works in Costco. I wish it looked as nice today as it did on Wednesday but I think that the mere mention of Wimbledon can bring on the rain. Looking forward to next week though.

 

Hi all
Heading off soon for the NW Highlands, will stop tonight on Loch Lomond, 12 hour drives are too much for us to do in a single go nowadays.
Not sure whether I will be in touch once we get up there, internet is patchy, to say the least.

I missed Gardeners World. I was out at our local heritage trust AGM, followed by an interesting talk on part of the area.

Thankfully, I can still watch it on i- player.

Gardeners world was interesting last night, I think you might enjoy it on catch up @RowlandsCastle. The trouble is, I’ll be thinking it’s Saturday today .

We are staying with friends on our way back to Norfolk. Home tomorrow. Weather has changed, wet and windy in the night much cooler.

 

I am not happy. My online grocery order was not delivered last night. I have chased it up and have to wait in now until mid day. Normally I wouldn't be too bothered but it has the scones, cream and strawberries in it for my guests tomorrow. I must say Tesco are very keen on keeping customers happy and although the local store was a bit reluctant, I stuck to my guns and my order hopefully will come today.
