    Good morning everyone

Well I'm finally nice and dry after spending the night spinning around in the tumble dryer.:rolleyespink:
Unbelievable day yesterday, I'm certain I don't get as wet when taking a shower as I did yesterday evening. Luckily we were undercover in the big Shopping Mall for the afternoon.

Today looks good ,might venture out to test the waters in our lane...may even get to have a little walk....or swim!!!:dunno:

Apart from that a day of chilling out is on the cards I think.

    Have a fab day.
    :spinning:

Don't know why, had another sleepless night ... and I fret when I do wondering how I can improve myself, consequently lifestyle!

Stop hogging all the rain Upsy! :nonofinger: We had another burst at 5.30am but a total of 4mm all day does not make much impact!

J meeting John today but that's all from here after I cycle.

        Morning Vicky.

Sorry to hear you had a sleepless night I find on occasions when that happens to me I then can't sleep because I lay there fretting about....not sleeping !! It's a vicious circle.

The rain is all yours today Vicky....help yourself to as much as you want.

I'm off to inspect our waterlogged garden now, not that I can do much out there at the moment.

I know you don't nap during the day but rest up if you can. xx

Your lucky you got a "good" doctor first time around. I 've had a few that I wonder how they passed medical school, why I am always second guessing them. And I will always second guess any doctor. Even a Gynecologist once told me a "wrong" directive. I told him to "blank" off. I was young then and knew better. And that doctor who wanted me to start on Fosamax, actually got me started on Vit D2, which with one pill almost blew out my kidneys, it was the worst pain I ever had ever. He really got an ear full. Lots of folks do not question "doctors" thinking them God. To me they are simply the plumbers of the body.

And its Friday again. Almost 10AM. Frost on the overnight again.
Maybe later can do some more leaf removal. But in the meantime probably paperwork for Taxes.

I joined the online Chess Club, really neat playing the game with "who knows" from different countries.
Anyway, have a good day all.

And @CanadianLori , reminds me of a doctor who prescribed me "birth control" pills that cause Acne, so for a few years there I was with pimples, never had them in High School. Never thought they'd be the culprit. Finally went to a dermatologist who told me that those birth control pills cause acne. Why would some "F" doctor prescribe that to a person. So just another story of WHY I always question any doctor. And one also wanted to start me on Hormone therapy, when its known that it causes cancer, again. That one I told out right NO. And why would a dumb doctor get me Vit D2, when Vit D3 is what he should have prescribed, at that time, I truly did not know what Vit D2 was, now I know. Again, my statement is from my own experiences of stupid doctors. On the flip side, those experiences could be a barrier to if I "really" run across a doctor who knows something.

              Good morning everyone.

We went for a walk yesterday morning to see what the flood situation was like and miraculously it had almost disappeared along our end of the lane. It had ran off ,down a naturally formed diverted route, into the woods just pass our property. :)

The other end is more likely flooded still I expect. It was bad enough when we walked up that way on Thurs..and that was in the morning before the heavy rains arrived. Hubs said at the time that he was going to go back and clear the area/ and remove the build up of leaves from the drains himself as it really gets impassable during the wet Winter months. We will walk up there to check in the next day or two.:dbgrtmb:

Redstar I'm sorry to hear of your unfortunate experiences with Doctors, you certainly have been unlucky !! I really haven't had any issues myself.

My medical history has always been taken fully into account and any proposed surgery/ treatments/ prescribed medication has always been openly discussed with me. After my own encounter with cancer I was strongly advised NOT to take HRT, however the risks were clearly explained to me so that I had all the facts to ultimately make the final decision myself.

The pro and cons have always been clearly presented to me before numerous surgeries , investingatory procedures that I've had to have. So I have never felt that I was given poor information /care.

I'm currently not on any medication and that is down to my choice but I'm not ruling it out it . The only meds I do agree to take without much hesitation are short term ones...antibiotics or pain relief to see me through any particularly bad spells.

I will explore all avenues though and not rule out things, as we all want to get the most out of life.
Sometimes on closer inspection it's often found that the pros far out weigh the cons and in fact the negative risks can very often be very miniscule or even eliminated by making changes to our own lifestyles.
I hope for your sake that you are fortunate to be able to find a Dr sooner rather than later who does know something.

              Have a great Saturday everyone.

                Good Morning.jpeg

A fine start to the day albeit a frisky one at 6c, but we will go to the mid teens.

It is a weekend so nothing planned here except quiet relaxation.

Van is still being my lap kitty and I am enjoying his great weight on my after an absence of so many years. He got the hump yesterday when he came in and saw Munchkin on my lap! She gave him an evil look so he went and jumped up on J's lap. :heehee: :cat-kittyandsmiley:

Good morning all :spinning:…. 0c this am with clear blue sky for a change, looks like we are in for a dry week but frosty…. Upsydaisy hope your rain has finally stopped, I’ve been watching the news on all the bad floods .
Victoria loving your colourful birds :imphrt:.
Victoria cats are funny, I’ve grown up with them all my life at my parents house, we don’t have one here as we both work full time, maybe when we retire.

Off to the cemetery with my hubby, brother and dad, we go to my dads then it’s a 15 minute walk to the cemetery, think I’ll get my Woolies out today.

Have a lovely day all :grphg:

                    Hiya Karen

We always had cats when we worked ... they are so welcoming to come home to. With a litter tray they are okay staying in the comfort of home.

Pleased you have blue skies. Enjoy your walk and thoughts with Mum and keep warm. xx

Saturday morning. 11:28 Am. some fluffy snow coming down.
Have inside stuff to do naturally. Started on paperwork for taxes.

@Upsydaisy ---one more Doctor story. The last doctor I got rid of, the one that prescribe me the Vit D2.-----At a visit he asked me this question---"Anyone in your family have any diagnosis or illnesses" I responded by saying----"No, they are all dead",. So his next statement was " Oh, I am sorry". Again, what the "F". not the right responds Doctor. That was it, the last straw.
I do have a female doctor now, on the younger side, about 38 years old, seems nice. I focus on researching herbs and vitamins for any ailments, mostly its arthritis. So I am on no man made medications When I get my blood work done its shared on link to me, then I review accordingly. All is good with the numbers. One could be better, my water drinking needs to improve, so trying to for the last 2 months as I am due my yearly blood work this month. My cholesterol is awesome, BTW. Anyway that's it.

Still soft flakes coming down. loaded up the suet and seed stations. Birds will be happy.

                        Good morning.

                        Hope everyone is well.

We walked up to the other end of our lane yesterday and although it was messy after the flood most of the water was running away down to the ditch that runs along the side. Please to see that somebody had bothered to clear away the leaves etc that were blocking the drains. Saved hubs from having to do it.:blue thumb:

Not a bad day today hopefully so I want to open up cold frames and greenhouse to check over the plants and give them a little drink. I must also remember to feed the Lemon tree too.:fingers crossed:

                        Enjoy your day.

A lovely start to a fresh morning and sunny day forecast.

Yesterday we watched Are We There Yet? a road comedy with Ice Cube involving a single guy looking after two unruly children then Steel Magnolias which I had wanted to see for a long time. Don't know what's on for today's enjoyment.

Sadly no Karen. I cannot walk without a walker and there are no pavements in the country. Besides these temps are cold to us.
This is our lane (a dirt pot hole affair) to the actual road ...

It is at least a half hour drive to somewhere with sidewalks ... and then they are cobbled!!! And no way would either of us go to the shopping centre (again, half an hour away) ... where there are people!!! We used to walk on beaches, but that bothered J's back.

                              Enjoy your day.
